The purpose of this study was to compare the content of 'Management of Resource and Environment' area in middle school Home Economics textbook with other middle school subject textbooks. The middle school textbooks of Korean. Mathematics. Social Science. Science. Ethics. Technology. Arts. Music, and Physical Education were analyzed how the contents of these textbooks were similar to or different from those of 'Management of Resource and Environment' area in Home Economics textbooks. The contents of 8 subject textbooks except Music were related with those of 'Management of Resource and Environment' area in Home Economics textbooks. The content of Social Science was the most similar to 'Management of Resource and Environment' area in Home Economics textbooks although perspectives and focus were somewhat different. The unit of Home Economics textbook most related with contents of other subject textbooks was' Our Consumption Lives'. while 'Management of Time and Work for Adolescence' is the unit of Home Economics textbook least related with contents of other subject textbooks. However. similar contents were dealt with different focus and depth in textbooks according to objectives and characteristics of subject.

The purpose of this study is to structure the system of reading strategy contents and seek a subject linkage method through using it. In order to establish the contents of reading strategy, the 2015 Korean High School Revised National Curriculum's contents system and advanced research were looked at. From that curricula, text areas(the types and fields, meaning structure) and cognitive strategy(reading methods and skills) are deduced and categorized. In addition to reading techniques reorganized by referring to worksheets of advanced researches, the system of reading strategy contents was made. As the result of applying it to the learning activities of "he Integrated Society" and "he Integrated Science" a subject linkage to learn the learning contents proposed providing a variety of reading materials related to the subject and running extended reading programs.

This research focuses on how users behave when they search by subject using online public access catalog(OPAC). Major findings are as follows. 1)Main access poults are subject field$(55.2\%)$and title field$(42.2\%)$. 2) The search failure rate in subject searching is $59.3\%$. 3) Ma]or reasons for subject search failures are two-fold : use of inappropriate search terms $(48.5\%)$ and non-use of Boolean Operators$(42.5\%)$. 4) In order to overcome search failures users tend to change originally used search terms$(42.0\%)$ and search fields$(33.8\%) into different ones.

The aim of this study is to reveal the categorizational and classificatory features of the subject-based classification (SBC) as a subject organization system. For this purpose, 12 SBC schemes of public libraries were selected and a comparative analysis was made between the traditional classification system, such as DDC and SBC in terms of the categorizational aspects, and canons for the classification. As a result, there were significant and considerable differences between the two types of classifications. This study concluded that SBC cannot be clearly explained and understood without a consideration of its essential and distinctive characteristics as a classification scheme.

The human subject analysis of a document has some critical problems. The method results in the inconsistency in analysis process and the contradiction of two objects of the subject analysis (one is the identification of the content for the retrieval of specific items and the other is to identify the content for the grouping of related materials). Since the subject analysis by mechanized has been recognized to be the possible way to aggregate the problems of manual analysis, various a n.0, pproaches of automatic indexing have been studied and experimented. This study is to examine the automatic indexing as one of the promising subject analysis techniques by statistical, syntactical and semantic a n.0, pproaches. In conclusion, the reasonable a n.0, pplication time of the automatic indexing should be made a decision based on the through investigation on the cost verse effectiveness, and automatic indexing system should be developed in the close relationship with the on-line search which is a good retrieval system for information explosion society. From now on, since the machine-readable document-text will be envisaged to be more and more available due to the rapid development of computer technology, the more substantial research on the automatic indexing will be also possible, which can bring about the increasing of practical automatic indexing systems.

The purpose of this study is to verify if there is any difference on researchers' language preference for citing documents in different subject fields. 8 scientific journals were selected one of each from 8 main categories, given by National Research Foundation of Korea. Five variables including the rate of citing domestic and foreign documents for each journals were choose, and the differences on language preference among researchers of different subject fields were checked by implementing ANOVA. As a result, there are some differences on language preference, in terms of the average number and percentage of foreign documents, among researchers, based on their subject background. It also found that 8 subject categories divided into 4 small clusters.

Among university librarians and academic community in Korea, there has been constant debate on the need for subject librarianship and the restructuring of educational programs. The debate has not resulted in substantive change so far. Recently, as several university libraries have begun to implement subject librarian service, there is a growing need to reeducate practicing librarians for such service. Recognizing that the liaison service model best fits the reality of academic libraries, this article proposes curriculum development goals and strategies, and specific course listings for the training of subject liaison librarians. We also suggest specific conditions requisite for such education programs fully develop in the future.

The overload of internet information makes user many restrictions. Users are confronted with the problems of information quantities, search, quality and reliability without information needs, technology level, education background of user, when they use internet as a tool of information search and retrieval. Web academic information subject gateway which provides user web information resource of high quality is a solution for these problems. This article explores the characteristics about the establishment and administration of foreign web academic information subject gateway, and identifies the considerations for establishing and managing it.

Aims of subject specialist librarian's education is an improvement of their professionalism which could reinforce librarians' ability to achieve their speciality. The curriculum should be competency based one which could gain knowledge and skills to accomplish subject librarian services. The study aims to suggest competency based curriculum that is needed for specialist librarian's work. The study proposes six educational courses and fifteen subjects. Six courses are as followings: resource development, information services, library marketing, user education, subject research, and library administration.

The Library and Information Policy Committee announced a national comprehensive plan for all libraries in August, 2008. The plan includes the re-establishment of a subject-based national library system as one of the major policy challenges. Based on the preceding study (an analysis on systematization and the gaps in subject-based national libraries in major countries), this paper proposed three models: a centralized model focused on the NLK, a horizontally-linked model, and a long-term strategic model for subject-based national library systematization in Korea.
