Thermal Process for Enhancing Mechanical Strength of PLGA Nanoparticle Layers on Coronary Stents

  • Poly (lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) nanoparticles loading paclitaxel have been deposited on coronary stents by self-assembling properties of colloidal particles. The layers of the nanoparticles were enhanced to a sufficient mechanical strength by a thermal process under the proper temperature and humidity conditions. In vitro release studies proved the controlled paclitaxel release of the nanoparticle layers. This technique gives rise to a new range of applications for nanoparticles and drug-eluting stents.

석영 유리의 파괴 거동에 관한 연구(I) (A Study on the Fracture Behavior of Quartz Glass(I))

  • Quartz glass are used in semiconductor industries as the reaction furnace, wafer carrier and accessaries. During the process the quartz glass received compression by direct contact with other quartz glass ware and metal as the form of weight itself and vacuum pressure and fatigue by vibrations caused by process. Even as the other ceramic materials quartz glass have high compressive strength but often there happened crack and breakage of quartz glass resulted in a great damage in the process. In this paper investigation will be carried out on fracture behavior of quartz glass under local load to give guideline to prevent unintended fracture of quartz glass.

  • 이 연구는 Sentaurus Process를 이용하여 실리콘(Si) 웨이퍼에 각각의 불순물들의 도핑 농도를 모의실험 하여 공정 방법과 순서, 온도, 깊이에 따른 도핑 농도의 변화를 나타내었다. 입력한 값에 대한 수치를 한눈에 알아 볼 수 있으며 공정이나 깊이, 도핑 농도에 따라 불순물의 집중도와 공정 방법에 따른 소자 특성의 변화를 한눈에 알아 볼 수 있어서 Sentaurus Process를 이용한 연구를 통해 우수한 소자를 개발하는데 도움이 되리라 본다. 이 연구에서는 공정 파라미터 값의 변화에 따른 도핑 분포를 Sentaurus Process 시뮬레이션을 통하여 관찰할 것이다.

Electrical Analysis of Bottom Gate TFT with Novel Process Architecture

  • Bottom gate thin film transistors (TFTs) with microcrystalline and amorphous Si (a-Si) double active layers (DAL) were fabricated. Since the process of DAL TFTs can use that of conventional a-Si TFTs, these DAL TFT process has advantages, such as low cost, large substrate, and mass production capacity. In order to analyze the degradation characteristics in saturation region for driving TFTs of active matrix organic light emitting diode, three different dynamic stresses were applied to DAL TFTs and a-Si TFTs. The threshold voltage shift of DAL TFTs and a-Si TFTs during 10,000 second stress is 0.3V and 2V, respectively. DAL TFTs were more reliable than a-Si TFTs.

  • Alumina, a typical ceramic material used for semiconductors and display parts, is the subject of research and development efforts for mineral material processing. Alumina is extremely difficult to process since it is brittleness to either fine ceramics material. We have studied the shape of diamond particles and their use in machinability for alumina processing. Our study was carried out under various processing conditions, including cutting speed, table speed, and the surface roughness of the work piece. We also analyzed the wear characteristics of the tool by total cutting.

  • An underwater hull cleaning robot can be a desirable choice for the cleaning of large ships. It can make the cleaning process safe and economical. This paper presents a hydrodynamic design of an underwater cleaning robot and its evaluation for an underwater ship hull cleaning robot. The hydrodynamic design process of the robot body is described in detail. Optimal body design process with compromises among conflicting design requirements is given. Experimental results on the hydrodynamic performance of the robot are given.

  • Alumina microcomponents have distinguishing advantages over Si counterpart. However, the shrinkage of alumina, as high as 20%, makes it difficult to produce precision components meeting a high tolerance. A new fabrication process presented to greatly reduce the shrinkage by producing alumina microcomponents from ultrafine Al powder. The process consists of forming Al powder components through sintering and turning the Al powder component into alumina. In this way, the shrinkage occurring in sintering the Al powder component will be compensated by the expansion appearing when the Al powder component turns into alumina. The process has proven successful.

  • The rational Management of the school facilities will be able to minimize the waste of budgets, enhance total values of facilities. The purpose of this study is to propose promotion plans of the private infrastructure investment in the school facilities not only for contemplating obstacle reasons of BTL projects, but also for gripping contents about process of BTL projects. To achieve these objectives, this study 1)analyzes the major trend about private infrastructure investment, and 2)suggest extended suggestions for minimizing problems in the process of BTL projects in school facilities.

  • Eagle's syndrome occurs when an elongated styloid process or calcified stylohyoid ligament causes recurrent throat pain or foreign body sensation, dysphagia. It is supposed that this symptoms and signs are due to the compression of the styloid process on some neural and vascular structures. More uncommonly, symptoms such as dysphagia, tinnitus, and otalgia may occur in patients with this syndrome. It may also cause stroke due to the compression of carotid arteries. The compression depends on the size, shape, and orientation of the ossified styloid process Besides, degenerative or inflammatory changes in the tendinous portion of the styloid ligament insertion or rheumatic styloiditis may also cause this syndrome. Diagnosis can usually be made on physical examination by digital palpation of the styloid process in the tonsiller fossa. Three-dimensional computed tomography can utilized for supporting diagnosis. The treatment of Eagle's syndrome is primarily surgical. The styloid process can be shortened through an intraoral and extraoral approach. We report a 62-years-old man with the symptomatology of Eagle's syndrome and literature reviews.

학교 교사폭력이 청소년의 우울감과 자살생각에 미치는 영향에서 부모방임의 매개된 조절효과 (The Mediated Moderation Effects of Parental Neglect on the Relationships between School Teacher Violence, Depression and Suicidal Ideation in Adolescents)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 학교 교사폭력이 청소년의 우울감과 자살생각에 미치는 영향에서 부모방임의 매개된 조절효과를 검증해보는 것이었다. 이를 위해 한국청소년 정책연구원에서 조사한 '한국아동·청소년 인권실태연구 IV'의 중·고등학생 6,291명 자료를 분석하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS 18.0프로그램과 Process Macro 4.0 프로그램을 이용하여 기술통계, t-test와 일원분산분석, 위계적 회귀분석, 부트스트래핑을 사용하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 학교 교사폭력과 우울감은 청소년의 자살생각에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 학교 교사폭력이 청소년의 자살생각에 미치는 영향에서 우울감이 매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 학교 교사폭력은 청소년의 우울감을 통해 자살생각에 이르는 과정에서 부모방임의 매개된 조절효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 청소년의 자살생각에 영향을 미치는 부모, 교사들에 대한 교육과 상담과정 그리고 정책적 보완 필요성을 제시하였다.
