This study determines 69 iSchools provided which data science curriculum, and presents the direction for Korean LIS schools. It is certain that iSchools extend their subject territory including areas related to health, technology and biotechnology. However, this phenomenon is not actively observed in Korea. iSchools also focus on the area about how to process and manage data. iSchools, in deed, offer courses regarding data science, data management and data security. The 'database' was a higher proportion of 'data warehouse' curriculum, and, 'data statistic and analysis' curriculum are forming similar portion. As a result of analysis of the iSchool's curriculum and comparison with Korean curriculum, this study suggests: the expansion of LIS curriculum related to data science; the enhanced role of the data translational data science; development of curriculum to raise the mathematical analysis capabilities, development of specialized curriculum and experimental classes; and support new knowledge skills to interact with technology.

The 7th National Curriculum requires the part of a school library for supporting porformance evaluation, optional actives, and extracurricular activities. The study has developed the scope and sequence of information literacy instruction's curriculum for integration strategies of traditional reading education, library use education and information literacy. For this purpose, this study compares and analyze the scope and sequence of reading education, library use education and information literacy instruction's curriculum in Korea, American and Japan. Basing on the comparative result, it proposed the scope and sequence of information literacy instruction's curriculum in Korea. The scope and sequence which it proposes based on the skill and process of information literacy model, it includes contents of traditional reading education, library use education. This paper analyses the trends in library and information science curriculum in North America, in order to address the characteristics of the subject modules in LIS education institutions in advanced countries. The research is based on the related literature review and the analysis of universities' webpages. The analysis includes a comparison between GSLI and SIS, the curriculum and subject operations of Library and Information science courses, the number and kinds of core and optional modules and subjects.

In accordance with the educational paradigm that values self-directed creative education, school libraries and public libraries emphasize self-directed learning support through curriculum-linked programs as their main tasks. For self-directed learning, it is essential to provide learner-centered educational knowledge information, and there should be abundant textbook-linked references that can deepen and expand the curriculum reflected in textbooks. This study established KDC-linked information related to unit and cross-curricular learning topics through the analysis of elementary school textbooks and curriculum-linked books, restructured KDC system based on major subjects in the elementary school curriculum, and established a curriculum-linked subject information. Libraries can strengthen support for self-directed creative learning for elementary school students in an online environment by linking library content targeted for each user with elementary school education content focusing on learning topics in the curriculum.

Information literacy education is a important role of today's school libraries. So the development of information literacy curriculum and textbook is necessary to establish educational role of school libraries more firmly. Recently, the Ministry of Education is striving to move education and school libraries toward the information age and to create an atmosphere open education. School libraries need to be furnished with lots of useful materials for the curriculum of open education. This study compare and analyzes recent school library standards in advanced countries including Britain, United States and Japan. The examination is based on the changing process of standards and development of school library in the each countries. The purpose of this study is to analyze the duties and competencies of the teacher librarian required by schools as consumers to operate the curriculum, and to suggest ways to improve their professionality. To this end, the duties and competencies included in 20 job advertisements posted by IB schools to select teacher librarians were analyzed based on the IFLA School Library Guidelines. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the duties and competencies of IB schools are based on the IB curriculum guidelines and this guideline is based on the educational philosophy and learner image that IBO curriculum aims. And the job that schools want the most from the teacher librarian is teaching through library collection management and collaboration, and the main competencies for this are communication and collaboration skills, teaching-learning·curriculum·education design and operation, and digital & media literacy. The results of this analysis show that the professionalism should be based on the vision for the educated person and learner capabilities presented in the curriculum. Based on this results, in this study the ways for developing teacher librarians' professionalism were presented in the following aspects. First, including the educational responsibilities of the school library in the Arrangement and Implementation Guideline of National Level Curriculum. Second, Classifying human resources' duties through revision of the Enforcement Decree of the School Library Promotion Act. Third, reorganizing of basic courses to acquire teacher librarian qualifications and introducing a demonstration of collaborative teaching in the eduactional practice and the certification examination.
