This study was carried out to investigate the activities and job satisfaction of public health doctors in charge of community health programmes. Subjects were 138 public health doctors charged with community health project, registered in the roll of public health doctors, made out by Central Supporting Team for the District Health Work in 2002. Data was obtained from Ninety-six public health doctors. The response rate was 70%. The survey was conducted from March to April in 2003 bye-mail. The items of the questionnaire consisted of general characteristics of participants, understanding of their activities, support system, job satisfaction, and suggestions to improve the system. Collected data was analyzed using PC-SPSS 10.1. Descriptive analysis, t-test, and ANOVA test were used. The results are as follows: Most of the respondents showed a low participation rate in community health services, but they agreed to the importance of their activities and the necessity to modify and improve the system. 70% of the respondents were dissatisfied with their jobs. The participation in health planning and programmes of health center, and the degree of acceptance of their opinion from health center workers were significantly related to their job satisfaction. The participation rate of the public health doctors having specialty, in community health services is higher than that of the others. In terms of the supports for system operation, the reflection of one's intention in job arrangement process, education and public relation of this system, and the administrative and financial supports made significant differences in the job satisfaction and the accomplishment of their duty. The respondents hoped that the administrative and financial supports for public health doctors in charge of community health programmes should be reinforced to motivate them. They also wanted that they could keep from being overloaded with clinical services. They favored to conduct home visit, community diagnosis, health planning, and health promotion programs as their appropriate activities. From these results, we suggest some strategies to motivate and empower the public health doctors in charge of community health programmes.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to discern the effects of music therapy on the patients' level of anxiety and operative satisfaction during cataract surgery under local anesthesia. Method: The subjects for this study were fifty patients. Half of the subjects were categorized as an experimental group and the other half as a control group. All of the subjects were admitted to one hospital in Seoul for cataract surgery. This study was conducted from September 7 to October 2, 2002. The level of anxiety determined by self-reporting anxiety, pulse rate, systolic blood pressure, and diastolic blood pressure, was measured before and after the music therapy. The satisfaction degree was measured after the surgery. The tools for this study were Spilberger's state anxiety inventory and Patient Care Management System. Each patient in the experimental group chose the music used in his/her surgery and it was played through an audio system in the operating room. The data analysis was performed using the SAS/pc+(version 8.0). Results: 1. The anxiety of the experimental group decreased significantly compared to the control group. 2. The pulse rate of the experimental group decreased more than the control group. 3. The blood pressure of the experimental group decreased more than the control group. 4. The operative satisfaction of the experimental group was higher than the control group. Conclusion: According to the previous results, music therapy turned out to be a very efficient way to increase the satisfaction of a cataract patient after surgery by reducing the anxiety and the pulse rate of the patient during an operation with local anesthesia.

Modern people in the $21^{st}$ century utilize their external appearance as a tool to express their personalities and social activities for the improvement of cultural life and the acceleration of information transfer. The expression of beauty is a method of communication from the view point of creation in addition to the exchange of meaning & value, and it has become a method of image transfer due to the increased desire for a better appearance. The beauty industry was established in 1948 by the execution of the 1st hairdresser's license test, and has been developed in full scale through the enactment of the public health control act. Therefore, beauty education is currently qualitatively and quantitatively developed, and the educational role of the beauty institute has expanded to include training beauty professionals. Private beauty institutes provide students with beauty related education in preparation for the national technical qualification examinations or private beauty association tests. These beauty education opportunities enable aspiring beauticians to attend various beauty competition events and acquire a sense of accomplishment. The purpose of this study was to determine how the quality of the beauty educational institutes affects the re-registration rate, and to analyze the effect of the beauty educational institutes quality on the intention of re-registrations using a survey. The study results show that variables such as 'lecture satisfaction', 'internal environment satisfaction', 'facility satisfaction', and 'tuition satisfaction' are significantly related to the rate of re-registrations, with 'lectures satisfaction' especially having the largest influence on re-registration.

Objective This study aimed to evaluate patient-reported satisfaction following robot-assisted hysterectomy due to benign uterine disease, and to identify the factors associated. Methods We used a questionnaire to evaluate patients' satisfaction with robot-assisted hysterectomy. The questions concerned overall patient-reported satisfaction and specific factors affecting satisfaction, including postoperative pain, return to daily life, the hospital experience, wounds, cost, the doctor-patient relationship, whether expectations were met, and whether detailed information was provided. We also collected data from patient records, such as uterine weight, rate of pelvic adhesion, operation time, rate of transfusion, delayed discharge, and readmission. One hundred patients who underwent robot-assisted hysterectomy participated in the study. Seventy-three fully completed questionnaires were returned. Results The majority of patients (95.9%) were satisfied with robot-assisted hysterectomy. The doctor-patient relationship, whether expectations were met, the hospital experience, wounds, and whether detailed information was provided were statistically significant factors influencing patients' overall satisfaction. Payment of fees and clinical and surgical outcomes did not significantly influence patients' overall satisfaction. Conclusion Our findings show that most patients reported high levels of satisfaction following robot-assisted hysterectomy, regardless of cost or clinical and surgical outcomes. Therefore, if gynecologists consider robot-assisted hysterectomy suitable for patients they need not hesitate based on potential costs; they should feel confident in recommending the procedure to patients.
Background: Recently, the employment retention rate (ERR) of hospital pharmacists has been decreasing and there are difficulties in conducting competency-based education (CBE) for pharmacy students. However, there is limited research on the impact of hospital pharmacists ERR on the quality of CBE. Therefore, this study aims to determine the relationship between the employment retention propensity (ERP) and the satisfaction with CBE of pharmacy students for patient consultation on the safe medication use. Method: A survey study was conducted using survey questionnaires of 5th year pharmacy school students who completed Introductory Pharmacy Practice Education from 2023 to 2024. Students' perceptions of their ERP before graduation and satisfaction with CBE were assessed. This survey questions consisted of a 5-point Lickert scale and multiple-choice questions, expressed as percentages including multiple responses. Results: Among 57 students, 82.5% (n=47) responded. The most important determinant of employment retention was work environment (66.0%), followed by fair salary (59.6%). Compared to the satisfaction with patient consultation education on the safe medication use at tertiary hospitals, the satisfaction at general hospitals was higher (satisfaction: 66.7% at tertiary hospitals versus 80.0% at general hospitals). Overall satisfaction with the quality of CBE over time tended to gradually decline along with a decrease in pharmacists employment retention [satisfaction: 83% in 2019 vs 68% in 2024]. Conclusion: Employment retention was positively related to work environment and salary level. Further research is needed to establish the relationship between students' satisfaction with the CBE and the ERP for the future pharmacists.
A study on how fire officer's job satisfaction factors influence space satisfaction rates. This article will conduct regression analysis for the study on these three problems. 'What are the factors of fire officer's job satisfaction?', 'Does space satisfaction rates influence job satisfaction rates?', 'Which job satisfaction factor influence space satisfaction rate?' Therefore, variables were set based on the prior study, and before regression analysis was conducted, variables were purified through analysis on primary factor and reliability analysis, and hypothesis test was done via variable calculation. According to the prior study, factors that influence job satisfaction rates are as following; self-regulation of tasks, ethics and responsibility level, relationship with colleagues, job identity. And regression analysis showed that space satisfaction rates do not influence job satisfaction rates. The writer thinks that it's showing that Korean fire officers tend to prioritize colleague relationship and job identity over space improvements. And the factor that influence job satisfaction rates turned out to be the self-regulation of tasks, and the writer estimates that it's reflecting the hierarchical organization culture of current Korean fire officers. Therefore, future Korean fire station design plans need to consider a space plan that provides fire officer's private self-regulation of tasks.
The purpose of this research is to find out the impact of quality management and differentiation strategies on customer satisfaction and management performance in family restaurants. In particular, it aims to identify whether such quality management and differentiation strategy have positive influence on customer satisfaction and perceived customer satisfaction as indicated through management performance. For the empirical analysis, a questionnaire survey was applied to a total of 250 customers who experienced family restaurant service in Seoul during the past one year. The model was tested using SPSS 12.0 and visual PLS(partial least squares) programs on a sample of the 198 surveys which showed a 92% usable response rate. The results of empirical analysis showed as follows: 1) quality management has a significant effect on customer satisfaction and differentiation strategies but not significant on management performance. 2) differentiation strategies have a significant effect on customer satisfaction and management performance. 3) customer satisfaction has a significant effect on management performance.

This study examines the role of job satisfaction in influencing the turnover intention of firefighters. Firefighters operate in urgent and hazardous conditions, and these unique working environments can significantly affect their job satisfaction and turnover intentions. To investigate this issue, a nationwide survey was conducted to examine the job satisfaction and the turnover intentions of firefighters. The data were then analyzed using the independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Duncan's post-hoc test, as well as multiple linear regression analysis. These analyses revealed a significant relationship between the two, showing that higher job satisfaction is associated with lower turnover intentions. These findings highlight the importance of enhancing job satisfaction to reduce turnover intentions among firefighters. As such, organizational support and management strategies are necessary to address the unique challenges faced by firefighters and foster a better working environment. Based on these findings, the study also provides policy implications for improving job satisfaction and reducing the turnover rate among firefighters.
The aims of this study was to examine the effect on the hand disinfection performance, the performance rate, and the satisfaction with the use of the belt-type hand sanitizers in clinical nurses. The study is a one group pre-post test quasi-experimental design. Effectiveness of using the belt-type hand sanitizers was measured with a self-reporting questionnaire. As a result, the performance of hand disinfection and the performance rate were significantly higher after using the belt-type hand sanitizers, and also, the satisfaction with the use of the belt-type hand sanitizers was significantly high. The belt-type hand sanitizer is effective method to improve both hand disinfection performance and its performance rate. Therefore, if the belt-type hand sanitizer is used in clinical practice, it may contribute to the improving the hand disinfection performance and its performance rate.

PURPOSE. The aim of this systematic review is to address treatment outcomes of Mandibular implant overdentures relative to implant survival rate, maintenance and complications, and patient satisfaction. MATERIALS AND METHODS. A systematic literature search was conducted by a PubMed search strategy and hand-searching of relevant journals from included studies. Randomized Clinical Trials (RCT) and comparative clinical trial studies on mandibular implant overdentures until August, 2010 were selected. Eleven studies from 1098 studies were finally selected and data were analyzed relative to number of implants. RESULTS. Six studies presented the data of the implant survival rate which ranged from 95% to 100% for 2 and 4 implant group and from 81.8% to 96.1% for 1 and 2 implant group. One study, which statistically compared implant survival rate showed no significant differences relative to the number of implants. The most common type of prosthetic maintenance and complications were replacement or reattaching of loose clips for 2 and 4 implant group, and denture repair due to the fracture around an implant for 1 and 2 implant groups. Most studies showed no significant differences in the rate of prosthetic maintenance and complication, and patient satisfaction regardless the number of implants. CONCLUSION. The implant survival rate of mandibular overdentures is high regardless of the number of implants. Denture maintenance is likely not inflenced substantially by the number of implants and patient satisfaction is typically high again regardless os the number of implants.
