수직형 소형정미기의 벼 도정 특성 -주축회전수, 롤러의 세라믹코팅길이, 이송스크루 피치의 최적 설계조건에 대하여- (Milling Characteristics of Vertical Small Scale Milling Machine for the Rough Rice -Optimum design conditions of main spindle speed, ceramic coating length of roller and feed screw pitch-)

  • This research was carried out to examine the optimum design conditions of a vertical small-scale milling machine where the rough rice is processed directly into the white rice in one pass. Effects of the main spindle speed, feed screw pitch and ceramic coating length of the roller on various milling characteristics such as white rice processing capacity, electric energy consumption, rice temperature increase, broken rice ratio, moisture reduction, outlet force and crack ratio increase were studied. The results are as follows. 1. The maximum white rice processing capacity and the lowest crack ratio increase, were obtained from a machine with specification: main spindle speed of 970rpm having a feed screw pitch of 19㎜. 2. The minimum electric energy consumption was obtained with the main spindle speeds of 900 and 970rpm respectively having a feed screw pitch of 19㎜. 3. The rice temperature was increased as the feed screw pitch decreased and the main spindle speed increased. 4. Broken rice ratio was relatively low with the range of 0.8∼1.3%. 5. Moisture content loss was with the range of 0.05∼0.4%. 6. The highest outlet force was 0.72kg$\_$f/ with 900rpm of the main spindle speed and 19㎜ of the feed screw pitch and the lowest outlet force was 0.18∼0.34kg$\_$f/ with 970rpm of the main spindle speed and 16㎜ of the feed screw pitch. 7. The optimum design conditions for the vertical small-scale milling machine were obtained at 970rpm of the main spindle speed, 19㎜ of the feed screw pitch and 20㎜ of the ceramics coating length.

플라스틱 직물 코팅재료에 관한 연구 (Study on Plastic Fiber Coating Materials)

  • 섬유 코팅제로 널리 쓰이고 있는 액상 PVC는 여러 가지 특성 중 무광택 효과가 뛰어나지만 코팅된 섬유 표면의 유연성이 감소된다. 이런 결함을 대체할 수 코팅 물질로 Elastomer계열의 액상 실리콘 고무를 사용했다. 기존 액상 PVC공정과 동일하게 진행했으며, 로울러의 압축력과 공정상의 예비경화를 이용했다. 실험 결과 액상 PVC로 코팅된 직물의 경도는 70E, 인장강도는 10.3 MPa, 신율은 200%로 측정되었다. 액상 실리콘 고무로 코팅된 직물의 경도는 40도, 인장강도는 5.1 MPa, 신율은 460%,였다. 따라서 액상 실리콘 고무 코팅은 3차 가공 없이 액상 PVC 코팅보다 플라스틱 직물 표면의 무광택성과 유연성을 증가시켰다.

아스팔트 도로포장 작업자의 아스팔트 흄 및 다환방향족탄화수소 노출수준 평가 (Asphalt Fumes and Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons(PAHs) Exposure Assessment among Asphalt Road Paving Workers)

  • Objectives: The objective of this study was to evaluate asphalt fumes and PAHs exposure among asphalt road paving workers. Methods: Task-based personal air samplings(n=41) were carried out in 3 asphalt road paving construction sites using PTFE (polytetrafluorethylene) filters for asphalt fume and XAD-2 with glass fiber filters for PAHs. The concentration of fumes and PAHs were showed by four different job(paver finisher operator, paving laborer(raker), macadam roller operator and tire roller operator). Results: The geometric mean(GM) concentration of asphalt fumes as benzene soluble aerosol was highest at paving laborers($42.32{\mu}g/m^3$), followed by in order, paver finisher operators($41.57{\mu}g/m^3$), macadam roller operators($31.9{\mu}g/m^3$), and tire roller operators($30.31{\mu}g/m^3$). The GM of total PAHs concentration was highest at paver finisher operators($37.5{\mu}g/m^3$), followed by in order, paving laborers($20.13{\mu}g/m^3$), tire roller operators($8.66{\mu}g/m^3$), and macadam roller operators($6.23{\mu}g/m^3$). The results of the evaluation of 16 compounds of PAHs showed that the concentrations of naphthalene, achenaphthylene, achenaphthene, pyrene, fluorene and benz (a) anthracene was higher than those of other PAHs compounds and as the carcinogenic substances, benzo(a)pyrene, and debenz(a,h) anthracene were detected. The benzo(a)pyrene equivalent concentration(BaPeq) was $2.81{\mu}g/m^3$ at paver finisher operators, $2.07{\mu}g/m^3$ at paving laborers, $0.41{\mu}g/m^3$ at tire roller operators and $0.22{\mu}g/m^3$ at macadam roller operators. Asphalt road paving workers have higher benzo(a)pyrene equivalent(BaPeq) values even though at lower total PAHs concentration than workers in steel pipe coating and tar industry. Conclusions: Asphalt road paving workers were found to have risk of carcinogen exposure due to higher Benzo(a)pyrene equivalent concentration(BaPeq) than other PAHs exposure occupations. This study confirmed the carcinogenic hazards among asphalt paving workers.

의료용 가이드 와이어의 테프론 코팅 장치 개발 (Development of Teflon Coating Equipment Used in Medical Treatment)

  • 본 논문은 의료용 시술에 사용되는 가이드 와이어의 테프론 코팅 장치의 주요 설계변수 설정방법에 대해 제안하였다. 제안된 장치는 가이드 와이어가 코팅 및 열처리 등을 연속적으로 수행하는 릴투릴(Reel to reel)방식으로 진행되도록 제작되었다. 이때 이송되는 가이드 와이어는 롤러 사이에서 진동을 하게 되고 이는 코팅 품질에 영향을 주게 된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 길이방향으로 이송되는 가이드 와이어의 동역학 식을 제안하고 이를 바탕으로 이송 시 가이드 와이어의 진동 진폭이 최소화 될 수 있는 이송 속도 및 와이어를 지지하는 롤러의 간격을 설계하였다. 제안된 방법에 의해 제작된 코팅 장치를 바탕으로 의료용 가이드 와이어의 테프론 코팅을 진행하였다. 본 연구에서는 가이드 와이어의 코팅 두께 목표를 원주방향으로 $10{\mu}m$ 이내로 제작될 수 있도록 설정하였고 광학현미경을 사용하여 그 결과를 검토하였다.

자동차용 LPG 연료펌프의 윤활성 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Improvement of Lubrication Characteristics for Fuel Pump in LPG Engine)

  • In recent years, the need for more fuel-efficient and lower-emission vehicles has driven the technical development of alternative fuels such as LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) which is able to meet the limits of better emission levels without many modifications to current engine design. LPG has a high vapor pressure and lower viscosity and surface tension than diesel and gasoline fuels. These different fuel characteristics make it difficult to directly apply the conventional gasoline or diesel fuel pump. Self acting lubricated groove design or coating can be used in high-speed and high precision spindle system like a roller-vane type fuel pump, because of its advantages such as low frictional loss, low heat generation, averaging effect leading better running accuracy and simplicity in manufacturing. Those design method can also affect the atomization of fuel from the injector and the formation of fuel film on the intake manifold. In this study, experiments are carried out to get performance characteristics of initial and steady state operation, The characteristics of vane type fuel pump were investigated to access the applicability on LPLi engine.

컴프레서 부품의 DLC코팅 적용에 따른 트라이볼로지적 특성 연구 (Tribological Characteristics of DLC-Coated Part in Compressor)

  • Amorphous carbon (a-C) has excellent wear resistance and, therefore is used as a coating to protect numerous mechanical components to prolong their lifetimes. Among the a-C coatings, diamond-like carbon (DLC) and DLC-containing silicon (Si-DLC) receive extensive attention owing to their enhanced wear resistance and low frictional characteristics. In this study, the friction and wear characteristics of DLC and Si-DLC coatings are analyzed. For comparative analysis, DLC-coated and Si-DLC-coated vanes are utilized with the counterpart of a roller for the friction tests. Since the lubricated mechanical components are generally vulnerable to wear when a lubricant film does not form properly, friction tests are conducted under boundary lubrication conditions to promote wear. A cylinder-on-cylinder type tribometer is used to perform the friction tests with various normal load conditions. After the friction test, a 3D laser confocal microscope is used for quantifying the wear volume to calculate the wear rate of each specimen. Consequently, the DLC-coated specimen shows a lower coefficient of friction (COF) and wear rate than the specimen without the coating, while the Si-DLC coating shows a higher COF than the bare specimen. The results of this study are expected to contribute to improving the efficiency and reliability of compressors.

감광성 폴리머 저항 페이스트를 이용한 Low Tolerance 후막 저항체 (Thick Film Resistors with Low Tolerance Using Photosensitive Polymer Resistor Paste)

  • 본 연구에서는 알칼리 현상형 감광성 수지재료와 전도성 카본블랙을 이용하여 만들어진 감광성 폴리머 저항 페이스트를 이용하여 후막저항체의 허용편차(tolerance)를 개선하고자 하였다. 먼저 카본블랙과 감광성 수지의 선택이 폴리머 후막저항(polymer thick film resistor, PTFR)의 저항값의 범위와 허용편차의 수준에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 이후 테스트 기판상에 감광성 저항 페이스트를 도포하는 방법에 따른 저항값 허용편차의 차이를 평가하였다. 감광성 저항 페이스트를 스크린 인쇄를 이용하여 테스트 기판의 전면에 도포한 경우에는 테스트 기판상에서 균일한 두께의 후막을 형성하기 어렵기 때문에 위치에 따른 저항값의 허용편차가 크게 나타났다. 반면, 롤러를 이용하여 페이스트를 도포하였을 때, 전체 기판 면적에 균일한 두께의 저항체 후막을 형성할 수 있었으며, 저항값 평가 결과 ${\pm}10%$ 이내의 낮은 허용편차를 나타내었다. 포토공정을 이용한 정밀한 패터닝 공정과 롤러를 이용한 균일한 두께의 저항막 도포 공정을 결합함으로써 후막저항의 허용편차를 개선할 수 있었다.

Ni-based 비정질 합금막의 수소투과 특성 (Hydrogen Permeation Properties of Ni-based Amorphous Alloys Membrane)

  • Ni-based amorphous alloy ribbon was prepared by a single-roller melt-spinning technique. Palladium coating was found to enhance significantly the absorption/desorption behavior of hydrogen in amorphous alloy. The hydrogen permeability of a Pd-coated $(Ni_{60}Nb_{40}){_{100-X}}$TaX(x=5, 10) amorphous alloy was examined in the temperature range of $623{\sim}773K$, comparable with those of $Pd_{60}-Cu_{40}$ alloys. The permeated hydrogen flux was increased with increasing the temperature and the difference of hydrogen pressure between the feed side and permeates side of the membrane. The Ni-based amorphous alloys were characterized by X-ray diffractometry(XRD) and differential scanning calorimetry(DSC). The morphology of surface and roughness was observed by using scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and atomic force microscopy(AFM).
