This study established the definition of invasive disturbance species for a sustainable management and biodiversity, and derived the influence factors caused by the species. To define the species, the paper reviewed similar words such as alien species and invasive species, using standard definitions. Also reviewed the results of recent research on the factors of the species. The paper defined the invasive disturbance species as an species whose establishment and spread threaten ecosystems, habitats or species with economic or environmental harm including native and non-native. Through the reviews, The factors were classified as geographic (altitude, slope, and soil, etc.), climate (temperature, precipitation, climate change, etc.) and, anthropogenic (land use, population, road, and human activity, etc.), and species & vegetation structure (species property, local-species richness, and canopy, etc.). Especially, human activity such as urbanization and highways may be associated with both higher disturbance and higher propagule pressure. In the further study, it is required development of mitigation strategies and vegetation structure model against invasive disturbance species in urban forest based on this study.

This study analyzes the factors that affect the safety condition level of road-bridges, one of the important infrastructures. Utilizing Binary Logit model, this report empirically identifies the key factors that has influenced the recent assessed safety condition level of the first and the second major types of road-bridges, managed by public agencies, and the changes of the safety level for last six years. As a result of the analysis, the most important factor that influences the safety condition level is not the physical characteristics, but the management quality. As road-bridges are getting older and older, the management quality tends to bring about more differentials in assessing the safety condition level. The safety condition level, C or D, is likely to be improved the level, A or B, is likely to become degraded. To achieve the goal that keep the safety condition level, A and B, more than 90%, it should be considered to make the degrading rate from B to C lower. However, this study includes the limitation on data. It is essential to collect structure data that are spread out in many agencies to complement the limitation for further research.
Roadside non-point pollution reduction facilities are classified as infiltration, vegetation, reservoir, and wetland types based on their respective pollution reduction mechanisms. However, without a detailed analysis of the road and traffic conditions it is very difficult for civil engineers to determine which category of pollution reduction facility is best suited to their planning requirements. To address this issue, we propose a new decision-making method for the selection of roadside non-point pollution reduction facilities. The principal factors informing the proposed decision-making methods are the road characteristics, including location, structure, number of lanes, and traffic volume. As a result of the study, a total of new pollution reduction plans were developed, with their selection conditions and the corresponding applicable facilities established. The effectiveness of the proposed pollution reduction schemes was demonstrated for roads in Kyounggi-do, providing a valuable basis for future pollution reduction plans.

With the advancement of modern IT technologies, the operation of autonomous vehicles is becoming a reality, and route planning is essential for this. Generally, route planning involves proposing the shortest path to minimize travel distance and the quickest path to minimize travel time. However, the quality of these routes depends on the topological characteristics of the road network graph. If the connectivity structure of the road network is not rational, there are limits to the performance improvement that routing algorithms can achieve. Real drivers consider psychological factors such as the number of turns, surrounding environment, traffic congestion, and road quality when choosing routes, and they particularly prefer routes with fewer turns. This paper introduces a simple path algorithm that seeks routes with the fewest turns, in addition to the traditional shortest distance and quickest time routes, to evaluate the characteristics of road networks. Using this simple path algorithm, we compare and evaluate the connectivity characteristics of road networks in 20 major cities worldwide. By analyzing these road network characteristics, we can identify the strengths and weaknesses of urban road networks and develop more efficient and safer route planning algorithms. This paper comprehensively examines the quality of road networks and the efficiency of route planning by analyzing and comparing the road network characteristics of each city using the proposed simple path algorithm.
Current sunshine regulations of our country, focused on common houses and general construction, are failing to reflect adequately the characteristics of roads and elevated structures. Besides, researches are chiefly being conducted on a pitch between common houses and its diverse effects, neglecting clearance between a road or elevated structure and a residential area, environmental elements brought on by structures, such as sunshine difficulty, and their resultant factors Therefore, this study, focused on the sunshine environment of elevated structures adjacent to a residential district, as part of all roads and elevated structures, looked over currently used clearance adequacy level and analyzed the characteristics of structures in relation to an angle of direction. Then, clearance ratio by heights was calculated through a pitch by characteristics of a structure. With a view to minimize the sunshine difficulty that might occur in the future construction, it aims to propose the basic data needed for calculating the minimum clearance, while emphasizing the necessity for institutional alignment on structures.

Recently, the limit state design method in the design of the structure is in global trend, but it is limited to a few structures in Korea. Since the introduction of the limit state design method has recently been attempted for tunnels, which are the main underground structures, it is surely necessary to understand the latest limit state design method. Therefore, based on the recently published AASHTO LRFD Road Tunnel Design and Construction Guide Specification (2017), structural load factors and load combinations were reviewed, and various factors which should be applied for the review of structures have been analyzed. In this study, utility tunnel section and subway tunnel sections used in Korea were analyzed by the limit state design method, and we have analyzed the direction of application of limit state design method through studying the tendency of member force by various influential factors such as ground conditions, load modifier and joint stiffness.
PURPOSES : The purpose of this study is to verify traffic accident injury severity factors for elderly drivers and the relative relationship of these factors. METHODS : To verify the complicated relationship among traffic accident injury severity factors, this study employed a structural equation model (SEM). To develop the SEM structure, only the severity of human injuries was considered; moreover, the observed variables were selected through confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). The number of fatalities, serious injuries, moderate injuries, and minor injuries were selected for observed variables of severity. For latent variables, the accident situation, environment, and vehicle and driver factors were respectively defined. Seven observed variables were selected among the latent variables. RESULTS : This study showed that the vehicle and driver factor was the most influential factor for accident severity among the latent factors. For the observed variable, the type of vehicle, type of accident, and status of day or night for each latent variable were the most relative observed variables for the accident severity factor. To verify the validity of the SEM, several model fitting methods, including ${\chi}^2/df$, GFI, AGFI, CFI, and others, were applied, and the model produced meaningful results. CONCLUSIONS : Based on an analysis of results of traffic accident injury severity for elderly drivers, the vehicle and driver factor was the most influential one for injury severity. Therefore, education tailored to elderly drivers is needed to improve driving behavior of elderly driver.

In order to predict vibration trends occurred during vehicle drive, acceleration data was processed by using data processing algorithm with moving average and Hilbert transform. Specific mode constants of acceleration were obtained under various disturbance. Vehicle velocity, road condition, property of pointing structure were considered as factors which make change of vibration trend in vehicle dynamics. Results of signal processing were compared and analysed. Advanced performance of the timing selection algorithm from this study was verified by using simple equipment comparing with the deflection measurement laser system(Muzzle Reference System).

Recently, the construction of road, subway, railroad, and microtunnel for electricity supplement have been increased because of increasement of traffic in urban area, increasement of industrial transportation, and the network between cities in Korea. The deterioration of tunnel structure may occur by various internal and external factors and particularly, tunnel structures tend to contact with either underground water or harmful ions. Therefore, leakage sometimes occurred through the cracks and joints of concrete lining. The leakage in tunnel may affect the durability of concrete lining. In this study, to evaluate the durability and deterioration of concrete lining in tunnel structures, we were performed the various experiments for compressive strength. Compressive strength obtained from nondestructive inspection and compressive strength test varies according to the concrete lining conditions.

The results of Change of Space Organization of Nagan Eupsung are as follows. There was no castle when Nagan folk village was built and it was merely small village arranged centering around road, but as it was emphasized as a point of strategic importance, castle wall was built and the government office and military facilities were established. In the late period of the Joseon Dynasty, as central power was weakened and its importance as a strategic point was declined, private houses outside the folk village were extended to the inside of castle. The whole structure of the village was not greatly changed through the modern society, but disappearance of village components and change of its basic structure like destruction of the castle were continued not to be restored to the former condition spontaneously. It was considered that it was caused by social demographic characteristics of the folk village which was deteriorated and environmental factors that it was changed into sightseeing place.
