Among e-government services, the intelligent CCTV control platform is a screening control service that utilizes artificial intelligence to display major objects such as people, cars, etc. to control personnel when they appear on CCTV. The operation of an intelligent CCTV control platform is expected to improve the quality of life of citizens by enabling rapid response in the event of an emergency and increasing the resolution of complaints. In this study, the benefits of the intelligent CCTV control platform, a non-market good, were estimated by applying the contingent valuation method (CVM), a choice experiment technique, to estimate the average willingness to pay per household and calculate the social benefits. As a result of the analysis, the average willingness to pay per household was estimated to be KRW 6,908 per year, and the economic benefits for the country as a whole were estimated to be about KRW 150.4 billion per year. This study is of academic significance as it extends the application of CVM to the field of intelligent e-Government services. The Intelligent CCTV control platforms is being actively discussed, this study has practical implications in that the benefits were estimated in monetary value.

The physiological or dietary advantages of germinated grains have been the subject of numerous discussions over the past decade. Around 23 million tons of oats are consumed globally, making up a sizeable portion of the global grain market. Oat seedlings contain more protein, beta-glucan, free amino acids, and phenolic compounds than seeds. The progressive neurodegenerative disorder of Alzheimer's is accompanied by worsening memory and cognitive function. A key indicator of this disorder is the unusual buildup of amyloid-beta protein (or Aβ) in human brains. In this context, oat seedling extract (OSE) has been identified as a new therapeutic candidate for AD, due to its antioxidant activity and AD-specific mechanism of action. This study directly investigated how OSE affected AD and its impacts by examining the cognitive function and exploring the inflammatory response mechanism. The dried oat seedlings were grounded finely with a grinder, inserted with 50% fermented ethanol 10 times (w/v), and extracted by stirring for 10 h at 45 ℃. After filtering the extract by 0.22 um filter, some of it was used for UHPLC analysis. The results indicated that the treatment with OSE protects against Aβ25-35-induced cytotoxicity in BV2 cells. Tg-5Xfad AD mice had strong deposition of Aβ throughout their brains, while WT mice did not exhibit any such deposition within their brains. A drastic reduction was observed in terms of numbers, as well as the size, of Aβ plaques within Tg-5Xfad AD mice exposed to OSE. This study indicated OSE's neuroprotective impacts against neurodegeneration, synaptic dysfunction, and neuroinflammation induced by amyloid-beta. Our results suggest that OSE acts as a neuroprotective agent to combat AD-specific apoptotic cell death, neuroinflammation, amyloid-beta accumulation, as well as synaptic dysfunction in AD mice's brains. Furthermore, the study indicated that OSE treatment affects JNK/ERK/p38 MAPK signaling, with considerable inhibition in p-JNK, p-p38, and p-ERK levels seen in the brain of OSE-treated Tg-5Xfad AD mice.
The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the importance of remote education, yet the adoption rate of AI in the educational sector remains relatively low, and studies into learners' familiarity with using AI learning robots are scarce. In response, this study analyzes the factors influencing users' familiarity with AI learning robots in a smart learning environment tailored to the untact era. To this end, social big data analysis was used to examine changes in public perception and the frequency of mentions of smart learning and AI learning robots. The results showed that positive perceptions of smart learning significantly outweigh negative ones, reflecting the convenience and improved accessibility that technology brings to education. However, there is also a considerable negative perception attached to smartphone use, which is interpreted as reflecting concerns that smartphones may disrupt learning and bring other negative aspects of technology dependence. These results indicate mixed social concerns and expectations regarding the educational use of smart learning and AI technologies. The effective introduction and use of AI learning robots, especially in smart learning environments, necessitate considering these social perceptions. This study provides foundational data for the effective implementation and use of AI learning robots in smart learning environments and suggests the need for approaches that primarily consider users' familiarity and social perceptions in the development of educational technologies.
This case study aimed to develop a therapeutic rap protocol based on narrative components for improving discourse skills of adolescents with mild intellectual disability (ID) and to explore its applicability. The protocol matched narrative elements (background, initiating event, internal response, attempts, and reaction) with rap components (verse, hook, and interjections), guiding participants to narrate their experiences in a connected discourse form. The protocol was also structured to gradually increase in difficulty, considering the developmental levels of adolescents with ID and it included steps for understanding discourse structures, applying narrative elements to content creation, and expanding narratives. Post-intervention analysis of the stories and rap lyrics created by participants to express their real-life experiences showed that participants increased the length of their stories and rap compositions, with notable improvements in rhythmicity and the inclusion of narrative elements. These findings suggest that, instead of constructing rap from random utterances, providing a structured framework reflecting discourse structure enhanced participants' understanding of event context and logical connections. Furthermore, the various elements and rhythmic features of rap can strengthen motivation and organization in discourse. This study highlights the therapeutic potential of rap in addressing the unique developmental needs of adolescents with mild ID, thereby diversifying and systematizing music therapy interventions for this population.
Purpose: Recently, due to the aging of safety facilities in national industrial complexes, there has been an increase in the frequency and scale of safety accidents, highlighting the need for a shift toward a prevention-centered disaster management paradigm and the establishment of a digital safety network. In response, this study aims to provide an information system that supports more rapid and precise decision-making during disasters by utilizing digital twin-based integrated control technology to predict the spread of hazardous substances, trace the origin of accidents, and offer safe evacuation routes. Method: We considered various simulation results, such as surface diffusion, upper-level diffusion, and combined diffusion, based on the actual characteristics of hazardous substances and weather conditions, addressing the limitations of previous studies. Additionally, we designed an integrated management system to minimize the limitations of spatiotemporal monitoring by utilizing an IoT sensor-based backtracking model to predict leakage points of hazardous substances in spatiotemporal blind spots. Results: We selected two pilot companies in the Gumi Industrial Complex and installed IoT sensors. Then, we operated a living lab by establishing an integrated management system that provides services such as prediction of hazardous substance dispersion, traceback, AI-based leakage prediction, and evacuation information guidance, all based on digital twin technology within the industrial complex. Conclusion: Taking into account the limitations of previous research, we used digital twin-based AI analysis to predict hazardous chemical leaks, detect leakage accidents, and forecast three-dimensional compound dispersion and traceback diffusion.
This study aims to examine the cognitive and affective changes in university students' writing self-efficacy when engaging in reflective writing classes utilizing ChatGPT. Over ten sessions, reflective writing classes using ChatGPT were conducted for students enrolled in a mandatory writing course at S University in Gyeonggi Province. The reflective journals written by the students during these sessions were meticulously reviewed as qualitative data with statistical analysis of pre- and post-surveys on writing self-efficacy. The results confirmed that utilizing ChatGPT in reflective writing classes positively impacted students' writing self-efficacy. Participants showed increased interest and confidence in their writing abilities when using ChatGPT. It was reported that they received cognitive assistance in outlining and paragraph structuring from samples generated by ChatGPT. Although survey results showed an overall increase in writing self-efficacy, the only statistically significant change was in the 'plagiarism response' category, which means a clear awareness of plagiarism issues. The process of personalizing the ChatGPT-generated samples requires consistent practice, and systematic guidelines on using such helpful tool effectively should be reinforced as a future task.
This study identified the relationship between empathy, tangibility, certainty, reliability, and educational satisfaction, which are sub-factors of educational service quality, and analyzed how educational service quality affects educational satisfaction through the moderating effect of mentoring. A total of 381 response samples were constructed for empirical analysis to analyze demographic characteristics, student use patterns, validity and reliability, correlation, and hypothesis verification, and a total of six hypotheses were established and verified using variables selected based on previous studies and preliminary surveys. First, as a result of the verification of Hypothesis 1, it was found that all constituent factors of education service quality had a positive (+) significant effect on education satisfaction. Second, as a result of the moderating effect of mentoring in Hypothesis 2, it was found that education satisfaction was increased in the confidence, reliability, and mentoring of education service quality. Therefore, empathy, tangibility, certainty, and reliability of education service quality are factors necessary to increase education satisfaction, and academy operators and managers are required to reflect this and operate strategies to increase the competitiveness of the academy.

During the clinkering stages of cement production, the chemical composition of fine raw materials such as limestone and clay, which include iron oxide (Fe2O3), silicon dioxide (SiO2) and aluminum oxide (Al2O3), significantly influences the quality of the final product. Specifically, the chemical interaction of Fe2O3 with CaO, SiO2 and Al2O3 during clinkerisation plays a key role in determining the chemical reactivity and overall quality of the final cement, shaping the properties of the concrete produced. As an extension, this study aims to investigate the physical effects of incorporating nanosized Fe2O3 particles as fillers in concrete matrices, and their impact on concrete structures, namely slabs. To accurately model the reinforced concrete (RC) slabs, a refined trigonometric shear deformation theory (RTSDT) is used. Additionally, the stochastic Eshelby's homogenization approach is employed to determine the thermoelastic properties of nano-Fe2O3 infused concrete slabs. To ensure comprehensive coverage in the study, the RC slabs undergo various mechanical loads and are exposed to temperature fields to assess their thermo-mechanical performance. Furthermore, the slabs are assumed to rest on a three-parameter viscoelastic foundation, comprising the Winkler elastic springs, Pasternak shear layer and a damping parameter. The equilibrium governing equations of the system are derived using the principle of virtual work and subsequently solved using Navier's technique. The findings indicate that while ferric oxide nanoparticles enhance the mechanical properties of concrete against mechanical loading, they have less favorable effects on its performance against thermal exposure. However, the viscoelastic foundation contributes to mitigating these effects, improving the concrete's overall performance in both scenarios. These results highlight the trade-offs between mechanical and thermal performance when using Fe2O3 nanoparticles in concrete and underscore the importance of optimizing nanoparticle content and loading conditions to improve the structural performance of concrete structures.

The purpose of this study is to determine how satisfied adult learners are with school life when transitioning back to social life after obtaining a college degree, and to seek ways to improve education through analysis of future educational needs. Suggestions for the results are as follows. First, programs to improve adult learners' basic learning abilities must be continuously supported. As a result of the survey on satisfaction with the basic learning ability improvement program, 92% of respondents responded above average, so continued support for basic learning programs is required to help adult learners make up for their academic gap. Second, in the case of club activities and major certificate acquisition programs, the response rate was above average at 92%, indicating that students were overall satisfied with their school life. Third, there is a continued need for expanded application of classes that combine field practice in the subject area. Fourth, the development of liberal arts education subjects that reflect social needs is continuously required. Fifth, substantial operation of field experience programs is necessary. Junior colleges are higher education institutions that train experts. In order to cultivate practical talents who are closely related to the field after graduation, future field experience programs are required to be operated to help with major jobs.

Second, in the field of autonomous innovation support tasks at school sites, the organization of the free semester system and improvement plans are presented among the details of the improvement of flexibility in the operation of the elementary and secondary school curriculum. Third, in the area of strengthening learner-customized education, the core of career education is strengthening career-linked education between elementary, middle and high schools. Career education is mentioned in the area of the detail itself. As such, it is no exaggeration to say that the core content of the 2022 revised curriculum is career education.
