In this paper, a novel Snowflake-shaped microstrip patch antenna for application in the WLAN(5.2/5.8GHz) band is designed and fabricated. The size of antenna is $21.2{\times}16mm^2$ and substrate is used Taconic-RF30. To obtain sufficient bandwidth in Return loss <-10dB and dual resonance characteristic, the Short-pin is inserted on the patch and the coaxial probe source is used. The measured results of fabricated antenna show 220MHz and 135MHz bandwidth in Return loss <-10dB referenced to the WLAN(5.2/5.8GHz) band. The measured antenna gain is $4.7{\sim}6.9dBi$ in the WLAN(5.2/5.8GHz) band. The experimental 3-dB beam width in I-plane and H-plane are $73.2^{\circ}/82.75^{\circ}$ for 5.1500Hz, $74.56^{\circ}/83.63^{\circ}$ for 5.3500Hz, and $86.24^{\circ}/85.15^{\circ}$ for 5.7850Hz, respectively.

Fatty acid compositions of the seed oils of P. schinseng, A. continentalis and A. sessiliflorus, were analyzed by gas chromatography (GC) equipped with a capillary column. A large unusual peak was observed just before the peak corresponding to oleic acid $(cis-9-C_{18:1})$. This unknown fatty acid was isolated by silver ion chromatography and then derivatized into the picolinyl ester. The mass spectrum of the picolinyl ester showed molecular ion at m/z=373 with other diagnostic ions such as m/z=178, 218, 232, 246, 274, 288, 302 and 344. Characteristic absorption peaks at $720\;cm^{-1}$, $1640\;cm^{-1}$ and $3010\;cm^{-1}$ in IR spectrum indicated the presence of cis-configurational double bond in the molecule. The $^1H-NMR$ spectrum of this acid gave two quintets centered at ${\delta}1.638$ (2H, C-3) and ${\delta}1.377$ (2H, C-4), and two multiplets centered at ${\delta}2.022{\sim}2.047$ (2H, C-5) and ${\delta}2.000{\sim}2.022$ (2H, C-8), and multiplet signals of olefinic protons centered at ${\delta}5.3015{\sim}5.3426$ (C-6, J=9.5 Hz) and ${\delta}\;5.3465{\sim}5.3877$ (C-7, J=9.5 Hz). The $^13C-NMR$ spectrum showed 18 carbon resonance signals including an overlapped signal at ${\delta}29.7002$ for C-12 and ${\delta}29.6520$ for C-13 (or they can be reversed), and other highly resolved signals at ${\delta}33.950$, ${\delta}24.558$, ${\delta}26.773$ and ${\delta}27.205$ due to C-2, C-3, C-5 and C-8 of a ${\Delta}^6-octadecenoic$ acid, respectively. From analysis results this unknown fatty acid could be identified as cis-6-octadecenoic acid. The seed oils of P. schinseng and A. sessiliflorus contained petroselinic acid (59.7%, 56.0%), oleic acid (18.3%, 6.1%) and linoleic acid (16.2%, 30.4%) with small amount of palmitic acid (3.0%, 3.1%) while the seed oil of A. continentalis comprised mainly oleic acid (30.2%), petroselinic acid (29.0%), linoleic acid (24.1%) and palmitic acid (13.1%).

In this study, a wireless and non-power SAW (surface acoustic wave) temperature sensor was developed. The single inter-digital transducer (IDT) of SAW temperature sensor of which resonance frequency is 434 MHz was fabricated on $128^{\circ}$ rot-X $LiNbO_3$ piezoelectric substrate by semiconductor processing technology. To find optimal acoustic reflector for SAW temperature sensor, various kinds of acoustic reflectors were fabricated and their reflection characteristics were analyzed. The IDT type acoustic reflector showed better reflection characteristic than other reflectors. The wireless temperature sensing system consisting of SAW temperature sensor with dipole antenna and a microprocessor based control circuit with dipole antenna for transmitting signal to activate the SAW temperature sensor and receiving the signal from SAW temperature sensor was developed. The result with wireless SAW temperature sensing system showed that the frequency of SAW temperature sensor was linearly decreased with the increase of temperature in the range of 40 to $80^{\circ}C$ and the developed wireless SAW temperature sensing system showed the excellent performance with the coefficient of determination of 0.99.
Ginsenosides, which are the active materials of ginseng, have biological functions that include anti-osteoporotic effects. Aqueous ginseng extract inhibits osteoclast differentiation induced by receptor activator of NF-${\kappa}B$ ligand (RANKL). Aqueous ginseng extract produces chromatography peaks characteristic of ginsenosides. Among these peaks, ginsenoside Re is a major component. However, the preventive effects of ginsenoside Re against osteoclast differentiation are not known. We studied the effect of ginsenoside Re on osteoclast differentiation, RANKL-induced tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase (TRAP) activity, and formation of multinucleated osteoclasts in vitro. Ginsenoside Re hampered osteoclast differentiation in a dose-dependent manner. In an in vivo zebrafish model, aqueous ginseng extract and ginsenoside Re had anti-osteoclastogenesis effects. These findings suggest that both aqueous ginseng extract and ginsenoside Re prevent bone resorption by inhibiting osteoclast differentiation. Ginsenoside Re could be important for promoting bone health.

The slender structures such as high rise building or marine riser are highly susceptible to dynamic force exerted by fluid-structure interactions among which vortex-induced vibration(VIV) is the main cause of dynamic unstability of the structural system. If VIV occurs in natural frequency regime of the structure, fatigue failure likely happens by so-called lock-in phenomenon. This study presents the numerical analysis of dynamic behavior of both structure and fluid in the lock-in regimes and investigates the subjacent phenomena to hold the resonance frequency in spite of the change of flow condition. Unsteady and laminar flow was considered for a two-dimensional circular cylinder which was assumed to move freely in 1 degree of freedom in the direction orthogonal to the uniform inflow. Fluid-structure interaction was implemented by solving both unsteady flow and dynamic motion of the structure sequentially in each time step where the fluid domain was remeshed considering the movement of the body. The results show reasonable agreements with previous studies and reveal characteristic features of the lock-in phenomena. Not only the lift force but also drag force are drastically increasing during the lock-in regime, the vertical displacement of the cylinder reaches up to 20% of the diameter of the cylinder. The correlation analysis between lift and vertical displacement clearly show the dramatic change of the phase difference from in-phase to out-of-phase when the cylinder experiences lock-in. From the results, it can be postulated that the change of phase difference and flow condition is responsible for the resonating behavior of the structure during lock-in.

Single crystals of Potassium Sulfate ($K_2SO_4$) have been grown from the saturated solution by the evaporation method at the optimum conditions. Radiation damages in the crystal by ${\gamma}$-irradiation of about $12{\times}10^6$ Roentgen have given rise to paramagnetic centers or paramagnetic defects. Electron spin resonance (ESR) spectra of the centers are obtained with the X-band EPR spectrometer at room temperature. The ESR peaks of the paramagnetic species are found to be anisotropic but the peak of $SO_3-$ radical is an isotropic of Gaussian shape at g = 2.0036. A number of ESR spectra of the crystal for angular variation of the anisotropic peaks are recorded at various orientations of rotation about a, b and c crystallographic axes respectively. The g-values are calculated from the line position between anisotropic peaks and the isotropic one and then principal g-values and its direction cosines of the species are obtained by diagonalization of 9 matrix elements of the corresponding g-values. All the paramagnetic defects are identified by the characteristic principal g-values and its direction cosines.

Objectives : Characteristic symptoms, including hyperactivity and easy distractibility, in children with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) suggest that their brain status, even at rest, might differ from that of healthy children. This study was conducted in order to determine whether resting state brain activity is compromised in medication-naive children with ADHD. Methods : Twenty medication-naive children with ADHD (mean age $10.3{\pm}2.5$) and 28 age- and gender-matched healthy volunteers (mean age $10.3{\pm}2.0$) underwent measurements for resting state brain activity using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). Among resting state related-independent components (RSICs) extracted from fMRI data using independent component analysis, a significant difference in RSICs was observed between groups, using a mixed Gaussian/gamma model. Results : Except for IQ, which was higher in the healthy control group, no demographic difference was observed between the two groups (p<.001). Significantly less activation of one RSIC, which includes the bilateral precuneus/posterior cingulate cortex, occipito-temporal junction, and anterior cingulate cortex, was observed in the ADHD group, compared with the control group (p<.05). Conclusion : An abnormal RSIC, posterior default mode network (DMN), was observed in the medication-naive ADHD group. Results of our study suggest that abnormality of posterior DMN is one of the main pathophysiologies of ADHD.

In this paper, a novel patch antenna based on the metamaterial CRLH(Composite Right- and Left-Handed) structure is designed, implemented, and measured. Contrary to the standard microstrip patch's fundamental resonance mode of half-wavelength or its positive multiple, the proposed antenna shows the in-phase electric field over the entire antenna. The proposed antenna has a desired omni-directional field pattern which is typical characteristic of $\lambda/4$ monopole antenna, and also shows the merit of low profile. HFSS(High Frequency Structure Simulator) of Ansoft which is based on the FEM(Finite Element Method) is used to simulate the proposed antenna. FR-4 substrate of thickness 1.6 mm and relative permitivity 4.4 is used for the proposed antenna implementation. The implemented antenna showed VSWR (Voltage Standarding Wave Ratio)$\leq$2 for the frequency band from 2.63 GHz to 2.655 GHz which is used for S-DMB (Satellite-Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) service. And measured peak gain and efficiency are 2.65 dBi and 81.14 %, respectively.

In this paper, a broadband planar monopole antenna for multi-band services is proposed. The physical size of the proposed antenna is miniaturized by folding a rectangular loop. And a resonance point in the 3.9 GHz band is reduced by a coupling phenomenon with the central part of the T-shaped patch and the folded rectangular loop. In addition, the T-shaped patch is inserted to the rectangular shaped monopole antenna due to deriving the broadband frequency characteristics. The frequency characteristic is optimized by adjusting the gap and length of the folded rectangular loops and a transverse diameter of the T-shaped patch. The antenna dimensions including the ground plane are $40{\times}60{\times}1.6mm^3$. It is fabricated on the FR-4 substrate(${\epsilon}_r$=4.4) using a microstrip line of $50{\Omega}$ for impedance matching. In the measured result, the bandwidth corresponding to the VSWR of 2:1 is 162 MHz(815~977 MHz) and 2,530 MHz(1.43~3.96 GHz). For analyzing the human effect by the proposed antenna, 1 g and 10 g averaged SARs are simulated and measured. As the simulated results, 1 g-averaged SAR is 1.044 W/kg, and 10 g-averaged SAR is 0.718 W/kg. This result are satisfied by the SAR guidelines which are 1.6 W/kg(1 g-averaged) and 2.0 W/kg(10 g-averaged).

Objectives : Empathy has been conceptualized as the ability of emotional resonance and perspective-taking. Emotional awareness has been proposed as the basis of empathy. In this study we examined the relationship between empathy and mood awareness and their neural correlates in resting-state activity in normal controls and patients with schizophrenia. Methods : Empathy and mood awareness scale scores were compared between 29 patients with schizophrenia and 21 normal controls by voxel-based t-tests and voxel-based correlation analyses of resting-state $^{18}F$-FDG PET images. Results : Empathy and mood labeling scale scores were significantly decreased in schizophrenic patients. Mood monitoring was positively correlated with empathy score in normal controls, but not in schizophrenic patients. In normal controls, empathy was positively correlated with resting-state activities in the intraparietal sulcus and mood monitoring was positively correlated with the temporal pole, frontopolar cortex, inferior temporal gyrus, entorhinal cortex and the subgenual prefrontal cortex resting activities. The orbitofrontal cortex resting activity was positively correlated with mood monitoring-related subgenual prefrontal cortex activity in the normal controls. Patients with schizophrenia showed decreased orbitofrontal resting activity and loss of its correlations with mood monitoring-related regional activities. Conclusion : This study showed that alteration in the resting-state activity in schizophrenia may reflect dysfunctional empathy and distorted characteristic of emotional awareness. However, the resting-state activity may not reflect the relationship between emotional awareness and empathy.
