알팔파와 베치의 추출물 및 잔유물의 콩과 옥수수에 대한 타감작용 (Allelopathic Influence of Alfalfa and Vetch Extracts and Residues on Soybean and Corn)

  • 본 실험은 alfalfa 와 vetch의 추출물과 잔유물의 콩과 옥수수에 대한 타감작용을 검정하기 위해서 실시 되었다. 콩과 옥수수에 대한 타감작용을 검정하기 위해서 영양생장기 때에 수확된 alfalfa 와 vetch를 건조시켜 추출물을 얻었고 또한 이들 잔기를 silica sand와 혼합처리하여 콩과 옥수수의 생육을 검토 하였고, 콩에 대해서는 근류균의 착생정도를 조사 하였다. 1. 발아시험에서는 롱과 옥수수의 발아율, 유근의 생장, 무게 등이 추출물 농도가 증가할수록 억제 되었으며, 최고 억제정도는 추출물 농도 20%에서 발생되었다. 추출물에 대하여 콩이 옥수수보다 더 민감하게 반응하였으며, alfalfa의 추출물이 vetch의 추출물보다 더 억제적이었다. 2. Alfalfa와 vetch를 silica sand에 혼합하여 콩과 옥수수의 간장, 엽면적, 지상부의 생육정도를 비교하였을 때 콩의 간장, 업면적, 지상부 생육은 alfalfa처리에서 더 억제적 이었으며, 옥수수의 생육은 vetch 처리에서 촉진 되었다. 3. Alfalfa와 vetch처리가 모두 콩 뿌리혹의 형성을 억제시켰는데 alfalfa처리가 vetch의 처리보다 뿌리혹의 형성을 더 억제 시켰다. 4. Alfalfa와 vetch의 추출물과 잔기의 처리는 옥수수보다는 콩의 발아와 생육에 더 억제적으로 작용하므로 콩 재배의 경우에는 이들 잔기의 관리가 필요하다고 생각되어진다.

SOME REMARKS ON NON-SYMPLECTIC AUTOMORPHISMS OF K3 SURFACES OVER A FIELD OF ODD CHARACTERISTIC

  • In this paper, we present a simple proof of Corollary 3.3 in [5] using the fact that for a K3 surface of finite height over a field of odd characteristic, the height is a multiple of the non-symplectic order. Also we prove for a non-symplectic CM K3 surface defined over a number field the Frobenius invariant of the reduction over a finite field is determined by the congruence class of residue characteristic modulo the non-symplectic order of the K3 surface.

  • Nowadays, like any other areas we have asked that the concrete would get more and more properties to increase there performance. So, in this research we are intended to develop the Photocatalytic Concrete which is one of the High Performance Concrete with waste gas reduction and self-cleaning. The fundamental phenomena of the Photocatalytic Concrete were observed by the residue water-weight, SEM, flow and surface hardness(Pencil tester). As a result of this study, the Photocatalytic Concrete used Photocatalytic powder, OPC admixture and other materials can obtain its properties, also photocatalytic efficiency. Last of all, we are convinced of the Photocatalytic Concrete possibility and make an effort to develop its properties added a various study.

제강전로 더스트와 슬래그를 이용한 루페제련에 관한 연구 (The Study of Luppe Smelting with Converting Dust and Slag)

  • LD 제강 더스트를 제철원료로 LD 전로 제강 슬래그를 용제로 하고 폐타이어에 의해 제조한 건류탄을 환원제로 사용하여 반사로에서 환원 실험하여 배합비, 온도 및 반응시간 변화에 따른 환원율 및 철 회수율의 영향을 조사하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 1) $1300^{\circ}C$에서 1시간 동안 환원실험한 결과 탈아연율(removal rate of zinc)이 97%이상이며 잔사중의 Zn은 0.1~0.2%이었다. 2)페렛트 중에 LD 스래그 15~20%, 폐타이어 건류탄 4.1~6.7% 함유된 시료를 대기압, $1350^{\circ}C$에서 3시간동안 환원실험한 결과 선철의 회수율은 89.3~92%이었다. 3)환원제련시에 집진장치에서 회수한 더스튼 Zn 60%의 조산화아연이었다. 4) 회수한 선철의 성분은 Fe 96%, C 1.6%, P 0.08%, S 0.05%이었다. 5) 환원시에 생성한 슬래그의 조성은 $Ca_2Al_2SiO_7$, 8CaO $5SiO_2$$Na_3Ca_6(PO_4)_5$가 확인되었다.

키토산 올리고당의 보습성과 생리활성에 관한 연구 (Moisturizing Property and Physiological Activity of Chitosan Oligosaccharide)

  • 천연고분자인 키틴으로부터 저분자 키토산을 얻은 후 이를 아질산을 이용한 분해반응에 의해 세포증식효과 및 상처치유효과 등의 생리적인 효과가 있는 키토산 올리고당을 합성하였다 이를 위해 아질산을 이용하여 deamination한 후, sodium borohydride로 환원시켜 reducing-end residue들을 alditol unit로 치환하였으며 MBTH시약을 사용하여 반응이 진행하였음을 확인하였다. 얻어진 키토산 올리고 당의 분자량 분포를 HPLC로 확인한 결과 중합도가 2∼6 인 올리고당이 얻어졌음 을 알 수 있었다. 상대습도 43%와 81%에서 측정한 흡습력 실험결과, 글리세린 에 대해 각각 63%, 57%의 흡습력을 보였으며, 상대습도 43%와 실리카겔 분위기 하의 보습력 측정결과, 각각 98%, 91%의 수분잔존률을 나타내었다 키토산 올리고당은 0,000032∼0.01% 농도 범위에서 세포증식효과를 보였으며, 2%와 20%로 처리한 경우 상처치유효과를 나타내었다.

Catalytic Gasification of Mandarin Waste Residue using Ni/CeO2-ZrO2

  • Catalytic gasification of mandarin waste residue was carried out using direct and indirect catalyst-contact methods for the first time. In the indirect method, non-catalytic reaction in a reactor was followed by catalytic upgrading of vapor product in another reactor. Two different catalysts, $Ni/{\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ and $Ni/CeO_2-ZrO_2$, were employed. $CeO_2-ZrO_2$ support was prepared using hydrothermal synthesis in supercritical water. The catalysts were characterized by $H_2$-temperature programmed reduction and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller analyses. Under the condition of equivalent ratio (ER) = 0, the indirect catalyst-contact method led to a higher gas yield than the direct method. Under ER = 0.2, the yield of biogas obtained over $Ni/CeO_2-ZrO_2$ was higher than that obtained over $Ni/{\gamma}-Al_2O_3$. Also, the coke formation of $Ni/CeO_2-ZrO_2$ was lower than that of $Ni/{\gamma}-Al_2O_3$. Such results were attributed to the higher reducibility and better lattice oxygen mobility of $Ni/CeO_2-ZrO_2$, which were advantageous for partial oxidation reaction.

Production of uranium tetrafluoride from the effluent generated in the reconversion via ammonium uranyl carbonate

  • Uranium tetrafluoride ($UF_4$) is the most used nuclear material for producing metallic uranium by reduction with Ca or Mg. Metallic uranium is a raw material for the manufacture of uranium silicide, $U_3Si_2$, which is the most suitable uranium compound for use as nuclear fuel for research reactors. By contrast, ammonium uranyl carbonate is a traditional uranium compound used for manufacturing uranium dioxide $UO_2$ fuel for nuclear power reactors or $U_3O_8-Al$ dispersion fuel for nuclear research reactors. This work describes a procedure for recovering uranium and ammonium fluoride ($NH_4F$) from a liquid residue generated during the production routine of ammonium uranyl carbonate, ending with $UF_4$ as a final product. The residue, consisting of a solution containing high concentrations of ammonium ($NH_4^+$), fluoride ($F^-$), and carbonate ($CO_3^{2-}$), has significant concentrations of uranium as $UO_2^{2+}$. From this residue, the proposed procedure consists of precipitating ammonium peroxide fluorouranate (APOFU) and $NH_4F$, while recovering the major part of uranium. Further, the remaining solution is concentrated by heating, and ammonium bifluoride ($NH_4HF_2$) is precipitated. As a final step, $NH_4HF_2$ is added to $UO_2$, inducing fluoridation and decomposition, resulting in $UF_4$ with adequate properties for metallic uranium manufacture.

  • PMAP-23 is a 23-residue antimicrobial peptide derived from porcine myloid cells. In order to investigate the effects of two Pro residues at positions 12 and 15 of PMAP-23 on antibiotic activity, two analogues in which Ala was substituted for Pro residue at position 12 or 15 were synthesized. $Pro^{12}{\rightarrow}Ala$ (PMAPl) or $Pro^{15}{\rightarrow}Ala$(PMAP2) substitution in PMAP-23 caused a significant reduction on antitumor and phospholipid vesicle-disrupting activities, but did not cause a significant effect on antibacterial activity. PMAP-23 displayed the type I ${\beta}-turn$ structure with a negative ellipticity at near 205 om in SDS micelle, whereas PMAP1 and PMAP2 had a somewhat ${\alpha}-helical$ propensity in TFE solution, as compared to PMAP-23. These results suggest that two Pro residues of positions 12 and 15 in PMAP-23 play important roles in the formation of ${\beta}-turn$ structure on lipid membrane and its ${\beta}-turn$ structure may be essential for antibiotic activity including phospholipid vesicle-disrupting property.

Nucleotide Triphosphates Inhibit the Degradation of Unfolded Proteins by HslV Peptidase

  • Escherichia coli HslVU is an ATP-dependent protease consisting of two heat shock proteins, the HslU ATPase and HslV peptidase. In the reconstituted enzyme, HslU stimulates the proteolytic activity of HslV by one to two orders of magnitude, while HslV increases the rate of ATP hydrolysis by HslU several-fold. Here we show that HslV alone can efficiently degrade certain unfolded proteins, such as unfolded lactalbumin and lysozyme prepared by complete reduction of disulfide bonds, but not their native forms. Furthermore, HslV alone cleaved a lactalbumin fragment sandwiched by two thioredoxin molecules, indicating that it can hydrolyze the internal peptide bonds of lactalbumin. Surprisingly, ATP inhibited the degradation of unfolded proteins by HslV. This inhibitory effect of ATP was markedly diminished by substitution of the Arg86 residue located in the apical pore of HslV with Gly, suggesting that interaction of ATP with the Arg residue blocks access of unfolded proteins to the proteolytic chamber of HslV. These results suggest that uncomplexed HslV is inactive under normal conditions, but may can degrade unfolded proteins when the ATP level is low, as it is during carbon starvation.

Determination of florfenicol residues in swine tissues using high-performance liquid chromatography with ultraviolet photometric detector

  • A study of the tissue depletion of florfenicol (FFC) administered orally to pigs at a dose of 0.05 kg/ton feed for 7 days was performed. Sixteen healthy cross swine were administered with FFC. Four treated animals were arbitrarily selected to be sacrificed 1, 3 and 5 days after the end of treatment. FFC residue concentrations in muscle, liver, kidney, and fat were determined using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with ultraviolet photometric detector at 230 nm. The correlation coefficient ($R^2$) of the calibration curve for florfenicol amine (FFCa) was > 0.997 and the limits of detection and quantification were 0.012 and $0.040{\mu}g/mL$, respectively. Recovery rates in swine edible tissues ranged from 79.1 to 93.5%. In the FFC-treated group, FFC residues at 3 days post-treatment were below the maximum residue limits (MRLs) in muscle, kidney and fat, and those at 5 days post-administration were below the MRLs in all edible tissues. These results suggest that the withdrawal period of FFC after the drug treatment might be 5 days, which is a sufficient amount of time for reduction of the FFC residues below the MRLs in all edible tissues.
