Correlation between Pharmacokinetics of Praziquantel and Extermination of Microcotyle sebastis (Monogenea) in Cultured Rockfish Sebastes schlegeli

  • To investigate the re-treatment time of Microcotyle sebastis by oral administration of praziquantel, the residue levels of praziquantel in plasma of rockfish Sebastes schlegeli administered orally at a dose of 200 mg/kg B.W. were analyzed by reversed-phase HPLC, and the concentrations of praziquantel in the plasma were correlated with the extermination of M. sebastis. The absorption and depletion of praziquantel in the blood of rockfish were fast and the residual concentrations of praziquantel declined below $4\mu g/mL$ within 24 hr post treatment. Most of worms were exterminated within 3 hr after oral administration of praziquantel, however, a small number of M. sebastis were not killed by the treatment until end of the experiment. Considering fast drop of praziquantel in blood and extermination pattern of M. sebastis in the present results, retreatment at an interval of 9-12 hr would be effective for eradication of M. sebastis.

  • There arc some problems on storage batteries which are called Secondary Battery, such as long charging time, limited cycle life, low coulomb efficiency and inaccurate residual power meter. To solve those problems, a complex system of capacitors and Super Capacitors of increased energy density. Though the capacitors alone arc not capable of delivering stable output, the accompanied circuits compensate the various characteristics all through the charge-and discharge-cycle. This paper deals with Energy Storage System with Super Capacitor for PV System Discussed in this paper are, explains the accompanied circuits of Super Capacitor which is compared with the Second Batteries.

  • An analysis of the railroad industry for R&D investments has been insufficient whereas there are lots of analysis of accumulation of technology, economic performances and ripple effects for macroscopic view and other industry of R&D investments. This study decided intellectual rights, patent, and paper as common indicators of scientific and technological performances for setting up performance targets through surveying and analysis of preceding study and verified a appropriateness of scientific and technological performances for railroad R&D 11 projects which were successfully finished. Preceding study has been set up performance targets by research investments as input, but this study made a performance target by model through a cross-sectional and residual analysis of performances of railroad R&D 11 Projects in applying research investments, capital investments, inner labor cost and inner labor cost per man and research time as inputs, and verified a validity and a empirical analysis through analysis of other project.

  • Generally optical components are fabricated by grinding, lapping and polishing processes. Those processes take long time to obtain optical high surface quality. In the case of large optical components, the on-machine measurement is strongly recommended because the workpiece is fragile and difficult to set up for fabricating and measuring. This paper is concerned about a swing-arm mechanism which can be used for on-machine measurement of a surface profile with a sensing probe end-effect, and also for grinding or lapping the surface with a corresponding tool. The measuring accuracy and uncertainty using a swing arm type profilometer have been studied. The experimental results show that this method is useful specially in lapping process with the accuracy of $5{\mu}m$. Those inspection data are provided for correcting the residual figuring error in next processes.

  • Just as it is possible to distinguish people by using physical features, such as fingerprints, irises, veins, and faces, and behavioral features, such as voice, gait, keyboard input pattern, and signatures, the an IoT device includes various features that cannot be replicated. For example, there are differences in the physical structure of the chip, differences in computation time of the devices or circuits, differences in residual data when the SDRAM is turned on and off, and minute differences in sensor sensing results. Because of these differences, Sensor data can be collected and analyzed, based on these differences, to identify features that can classify the sensors and define them as sensor-based device DNA technology. As Similar to the biometrics, such as human fingerprints and irises, can be authenticatedused for authentication, sensor-based device DNA can be used to authenticate sensors and generate cryptographic keys that can be used for security.

  • A robust input modification approach to the control of flexible joint robot is presented. In our previous study, we developed an observer based state feedback control for the suppression of residual vibration of a robot. The control was very effective in suppressing the inherent vibration of a flexible joint robot. However it did not meet high performance requirements under high speed motion and model uncertainties. As a solution of the problem, we present an input modification method with robustness against parametric uncertainties. The main idea of the proposed input modification method is to generate a modified reference position command for fast and accurate motion of the robot. Using this proposed method we can reduce the servo delay and settling time by about 60% and substantially improve the path accuracy.

  • This paper deals with a control technique of eliminating the transient vibration of a twin-drive geared mechanical system. This technique is based on a model-based control in order to establish the damping effect at the driven machine part. The control model is composed of reduced-order electrical and mechanical parts. This control model estimates a load speed converted to the motor shaft. The difference between the estimated load speed and the motor speed is calculated dynamically and it is added to the velocity command to suppress the transient vibration generated at the load. This control technique is applied to a twin-drive geared system with backlash. In the previous work, the performance of this control method is examined by simulations. In this paper, the effectiveness of this control technique is verified by experiments. The settling time of the residual vibration generated at the loading inertia can be shortened down to about 1/2 of the uncompensated vibration level.

  • Thermal imaging is mainly used in military equipment required for night observation. In particular, technologies of uncooled thermal imaging detectors are being developed as applied to low-cost night observation system. Many system integrators require different specifications of the uncooled thermal imaging camera but their development time is short. In this approach, EOSYSTEM has developed a small size, TEC-less uncooled thermal imaging camera module with $32{\times}32mm$ size and low power consumption. Both domestic detector and import detector are applied to the EOSYSTEM's thermal imaging camera module. The camera module contains efficient infrared image processing algorithms including : Temperature compensation non-uniformity correction, Bad/Dead pixel replacement, Column noise removal, Contrast/Edge enhancement algorithms providing stable and low residual non-uniformity infrared image.

  • For the purpose of indoor air purification, air conditioner or purifier is generally used, but the long operating time induced the contamination by cumulation of bacteria in the air filter. The ozone sterilization method can be one of the effective sterilization method for this case. Ozone has not leave a secondary residual contaminants, as well as a strong sterilization power. In this study, nonthermal plasma technology is investigated as an ozone generator for the air filter sterilization. Additionally, nonthermal plasma technology is possible to obtain the generation of negative ions and electrostatic force by simply adjusting the applied voltage.

  • Theoretical approach was taken to the whole CNG refueling process. In particular, this study was focused on the prediction of flow rate at any given piping configuration of CNG system, in order that a simulation program for the CNG refueling system should be developed. The simulation result of refueling process was compared with experimental result obtained from various kinds of fueling configuration. The simulation results showed a satisfactory agreement within 10% errors in fueling time, fueling amount, and residual pressure. The developed program would be used a good engineering tools for estimating fueling performance for a any given CNG station.
