  • Many telecommunication operators around the world have multiple networks. The networks run by each operator are always of different generations, such as 2G and 3G or even 4G systems. Each system has unique characters and specified requirements for optimal operation. It brings about resource allocation problem among these networks for the operator, because the budget of each operator is limited. However, the evaluation of resource allocation among various networks under each operator is missing for long, not to mention resource allocation optimization. The operators are dying for an algorithm to end their blind resource allocation, and the Resource Allocation Optimization Algorithm for Multi-network Operator (RAOAMO) proposed in this paper is what the operators want. RAOAMO evaluates and optimizes resource allocation in the view of overall cost for each operator. It outputs a resource distribution target and corresponding optimization suggestion. Evaluation results show that RAOAMO helps operator save overall cost in various cases.

  • The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy is now placing emphasis on the importance of a new and renewable energy resource map service as an essential means of promoting the dissemination and adoption of renewable energy and other related industrial activities. To raise satisfaction with the new and renewable energy resource map service and promote its utilization, a survey was conducted on a sample group with an academic research background, i.e. employees of the Korea Institute of Energy Research (KIER) who have a thorough understanding of the technological concepts behind the new and renewable energy resource map. Statistical analysis of the survey results showed a high level of overall satisfaction with the web service for the new and renewable energy resource map. Therefore, it was concluded that the development of practical contents rather than the enhancement of web service convenience is required. A statistically significant trend was also observed whereby, the longer the professional career of the survey respondents, the greater their perception and utilization of, and satisfaction with, the enhanced service, which indicates that their level of understanding and utilization of technological concepts corresponds to their research experience record. In addition, the results obtained from the questionnaires regarding the evaluation of the utilization value of the resource map service indicated that use of the service was equally high in terms of political, business and academic applications. The results confirmed the need to develop multidimensional resource map contents that can be applied to as many fields as possible, rather than focusing on a specific terrain.

  • The purposes of this study are to evaluate the research trends of articles published in the Journal of the Korean Family Resource Management Association from 1997 to 2008, and to identify the contributions as well as the inherent limitations of these articles in the field of family resource management. For these purposes, this study analyzed 3 types of research trends: research topic, research method including data analysis, and research subject. The findings of this study are as follows. First of all, the study shows that most number of researches are conducted on management subjects, followed by management practice and management theory. Secondly, regarding the frequency of the research method, the empirical researches are the most prevalent method employed by the researches, over literature or practice researches. Thirdly, it is noted there are more quantitative researches than qualitative ones. Finally, there are a lot more researches carried out on the traditional household than those of vulnerable households.

  • The efficiency of animal production using cloning technology is relatively low. It is considered that the nuclear transferred (NT) embryos proceed inappropriate reconstruction with donor-recipient cell, which lead to a abnormal embryo development, and differential expression of mRNA transcript. Especially, the expression of mRNA on peri-implantation stage embryos is very important factor to decide success of implantation and ongoing pregnancy. (omitted)

  • In vitro matured porcine oocytes have very small volume of perivitellinespace(PVS). In these respect, the effects of sucrose and polybrene on the efficiency of gene transfer were investigated. As a gene (hGH) transfer vehicle, Vesicular stomatitis virus glycoprotein pseudotyped retroviral vector (VSV-G) was used. Sucrose treatment have no detrimental effect on the rates of cleavage and following development and induced the enlargement of PVS resulting the efficient introduction of retroviral vector stocks into PVS. • In this paper, we introduce a computing resource standard metadata schema design plan for registering, retrieving, and managing computing resources used for research data analysis and utilization in the Korea Research Data Commons(KRDC). KRDC is a joint utilization system of research data and computing resources to maximize the sharing and utilization of research data. Computing resources refer to all resources in the computing environment, such as analysis infrastructure and analysis software, necessary to analyze and utilize research data used in the entire research process. The standard metadata schema for KRDC computing resource management is designed by considering common attributes for computing resource management and other attributes according to each computing resource feature. The standard metadata schema for computing resource management consists of a computing resource metadata schema and a computing resource provider metadata schema. In addition, the metadata schema of computing resources and providers was designed as a service schema and a system schema group according to their characteristics. The standard metadata schema designed in this paper is used for computing resource registration, retrieval, management, and workflow services for computing resource providers and computing resource users through the KRDC web service, and is designed in a scalable form for various computing resource links.

  • Korea is in the state of insufficient supply of research information, a gap of information between universities and absolute depends on foreign information resource. So it is necessary to activate inter-libray research information resource sharing. To encourage consciousness and spontaneous effort to inter-libray research information resource sharing, university libray evaluation system of contribution toward resource sharing is required. This study intends to survey present condition of inter-libray research information research information in Korea, and develope evaluation system about inter-libray research information resource sharing. And propose operating methods of evaluation system about insert established university evaluation system or execute independently.

  • Energy resource is very important to the survival in the polar region. Wind energy, which is one of renewable energy, can guarantee the clean, inexhaustible, natural resource in the polar region. It is essential to assess the wind energy resource of the site where wind turbines will be installed. In the present study, the wind characteristics of the antarctic King Sejong station are analysed from its meteorological observation data. The wind resource of the Sejong station is also simulated and predicted using WAsP program. From the results, the Sejong station has very excellent wind resource and the site where small wind turbines will be installed is determined.

  • The purpose of this research is to introduce a new method for teaching family resource management using classroom experiments. Classroom experiments are very attractive in the sense that students are placed directly into the various environments being studied, and they enhance the effectiveness of the Socratic Method, as opposed to traditional lectures. The family resource management approach focuses on the resource allocation behavior of families in the utilization of their human and non-human resources to achieve goals. Therefore, there are many family resource decision situations to which classroom experiments may be fruitfully applied. Within this context, this research provides useful implications for applying managerial concepts of family resource management behavior in practical situations. The study results might be used to analyze an interactive framework that facilitates discussions of classroom experiments, family resource management behavior and human ecology.
