  • Recently many countries around the world are actively promoting smart city projects to address various urban problems such as traffic congestion, housing shortage, and energy scarcity. Due to development of the Internet of Things (IoT), the development of a smart city with sustainability, convenience, and environment-friendliness was enabled through the effective control and reuse of urban resources. The purpose of this study is to analyze the technical trends of IoT and present a development plan for smart city which is one of the applications of the IoT. To this end, the news articles of the Electronic Times between 2013 and 2015were analyzed using the text mining technique and smart city development cases of other countries were investigated. The analysis results revealed the close relationships of big data, cloud, platforms, and sensors with smart city. For the successful development of a smart city, first, all the interested parties in the city must work together to create new values throughout the entire process of value chain. Second, they must utilize big data and disclose public data more actively than they are doing now. This study has made academic contribution in that it has presented a big data analysis method and stimulated follow-up studies. For the practical contribution, the results of this study provided useful data for the policy making of local governments and administrative agencies for smart city development. This study may have limitations in the incorporation of the total trends because only the news articles of the Electronic Times were selected to analyze the technical trends of the IoT.

  • Purpose: This study is to find the significant symptoms related to bone density, from which a cost-effective nursing diagnosis and intervention can be derived. Method: The research sample was 102 women, the sampling was designed by the researcher's convenience, and the subjects of the sample voluntarily participated in a questionnaire survey and measurements. The questionnaire asked socio-demographics, women' reproductive health symptoms, and the life style of the subject. Osteometer DTX-200 for bone density measure and a ruler for measuring spinal curvature were used. All the data were collected at the two public health clinics in a city in Korea. Result: The subjects' current and completed menopause ages, duration of menopause, degree of spinal curvature, BMI, frequency of parity and etc. showed significant correlations with bone density. However, only the degree of spinal curvature(p<.001, r=-.22) was found to be meaningful as a predicted factor for self diagnosis of bone density level. Conclusions: Since most of the subjects have not recognized the relationships between changes in spinal curvature and lowered bone densities, nurse needs to educate clients to get medical assistance to prevent from further bone density reduction by earlier finding of spinal curvature.

The subjects of this study are science teachers, schoolmasters, science supervisors, and 3rd$\~$6th grade students in western office of board of education, Gwangju Metropolitan city. It was found that there are 264 teachers who teach one subject and only two of them were science teachers. In elementary schools, most classroom teachers didn't want to be science teachers and schoolmasters or science supervisors could not afford to adapt science teacher system. After applying science teacher system to 3$\~$6th grade students during one school year, many students were improved in academic achievement and inquiring ability, and they have increased of interest and participation in science activities. This means that science class by science teacher is more effective than that by classroom teacher. Therefore, science teacher system should enlarge to science class in elementary school.
