Space frame structures are included in the large spatial structures and can adopt various structure types. But, it is not easy to choose the optimal member size and shape because it depends on the structural engineer's experience and the repeated trial and error. Therefore, in this study, the final goal is to help the designer with the selection of the optimum shape. First, various space frame structures with ellipse dome and vault complex types are chosen and the shape generation method is considered to generate the nodes, coordinates and members. In optimal design process of space frame structure, each node coordinate changes according to height variation or the number of rings. Therefore, the auto generation technique of nodes and members is required in order to consider this phenomenon in optimal design process. Next, the shape generation module is created, base on the shape generation method. This module is connected with the analysis module and the optimization algorithm. Finally, the example model is presented for the evaluation of the efficiency of optimization algorithms.
In recent years, 3D printing technology has received significant research attention. Additionally, 3D printing technology is being applied to study radiation dosimeters of various materials. In this study, a plastic scintillator for 3D printing was developed in a laboratory and used to manufacture a plastic scintillation dosimeter (PSD) with a shape identical to that of the ionization chamber PTW31010. The 16-mm beam of Gamma Knife® Perfexion™ was irradiated to derive the absorbed dose rates of the PSD and PTW31010; they were subsequently compared with the dose rates of the treatment plan. The differences in the dose rates of the Gamma Knife treatment plan and the absorbed dose rates of PTW31010 were within 0.87%. The difference between the dose rates of the Gamma Knife treatment plan and the absorbed dose rates of the PSD were within 4.1%. A linear fit of the absorbed dose rates of four shots involving different dose rates and irradiation angles yielded an adjusted R-square value exceeding 0.9999. A total of 10 repeated measurements were conducted for the same shot to confirm its reproducibility, with a relative error of 0.56%.

This paper introduces implementation of a traffic distributed processing system on the Web Sever Networking. The study used two software packages (Packet Capture and Round-Robin Test Package) to check packet quantity from Virtual Network Structure (data generator, virtual server, Serve. 1, 2, 3), and could find out traffic distribution toward Server 1, 2, and 3. The functions of implemented Round-Robin Load Balancing Monitoring System include Round-Robin testing, system monitoring, and graphical indication of data transmission/packet quantity (figures & diagram). As the result of the study shows, Round-Robin Algorithm ensured definite traffic distribution, unless incoming data loads differ much. Although error levels were high in some cases, they were eventually alleviated by repeated tests for a long period of time.

Infrared optical systems are operated at low temperature and vacuum (LT-V) condition, whereas the assembly and alignment are performed at room temperature and non-vacuum (RT-NV) condition. The differences in temperature and pressure between assembly/alignment environments and operation environment change the physical characteristics of optical and opto-mechanical parts (e.g., thickness, height, length, curvature, and refractive index), and the resultant optical performance changes accordingly. In this study, using input relay optics (IO), among the components of the Immersion GRating INfrared Spectrograph (IGRINS) which is an infrared spectrograph, a simulation based on the physical information of this optical system and an actual experiment were performed; and optical performances in the RT-NV, RT-V, and LT-V environments were predicted with an accuracy of $0.014{\pm}0.007{\lambda}$ rms WFE, by developing an adaptive fitting line. The developed adaptive fitting line can quantitatively control assembly and alignment processes below ${\lambda}/70$ rms WFE. Therefore, it is expected that the subsequent processes of assembly, alignment, and performance analysis could not be repeated.

We propose a novel algorithm for measuring the radius of tubes. This proposed algorithm is capable of effectively removing added noise and measuring the radius of tubes within allowable precision. The noise is removed by using a candidate true center that minimizes the standard deviation with respect to the radius. Further, the disconnection in data points resulting from noise removal is solved by using a connection algorithm. The final step of the process is repeated until the value of the standard deviation decreases to a small predefined value. Experiments were performed using circle geometries with added noise and a real tube with complex noise and that is used in the braking units of automobiles. It was concluded that the measurement carried out using the algorithm was accurate within 1.4%, even with 15% added noise.
This study aims to develop an improved Feldkamp-Davis-Kress (FDK) reconstruction algorithm using anisotropic total variation (ATV) minimization to enhance the image quality of low-dose cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT). The algorithm first applies a filter that integrates the Shepp-Logan filter into a cosine window function on all projections for impulse noise removal. A total variation objective function with anisotropic penalty is then minimized to enhance the difference between the real structure and noise using the steepest gradient descent optimization with adaptive step sizes. The preserving parameter to adjust the separation between the noise-free and noisy areas is determined by calculating the cumulative distribution function of the gradient magnitude of the filtered image obtained by the application of the filtering operation on each projection. With these minimized ATV projections, voxel-driven backprojection is finally performed to generate the reconstructed images. The performance of the proposed algorithm was evaluated with the catphan503 phantom dataset acquired with the use of a low-dose protocol. Qualitative and quantitative analyses showed that the proposed ATV minimization provides enhanced CBCT reconstruction images compared with those generated by the conventional FDK algorithm, with a higher contrast-to-noise ratio (CNR), lower root-mean-square-error, and higher correlation. The proposed algorithm not only leads to a potential imaging dose reduction in repeated CBCT scans via lower mA levels, but also elicits high CNR values by removing noisy corrupted areas and by avoiding the heavy penalization of striking features.
Background: Whole-body vibration (WBV) has been used to alleviate proprioceptive damage by musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. However, no study has determined whether wearing shoes while applying WBV can affect proprioception precision of the knee joint. Objects: This study aimed to determine the differences in the proprioceptive precision of the knee joint before and after WBV and to compare the proprioceptive precision of the knee joint between barefoot and shoe-wearing conditions. Methods: This study recruited 33 healthy participants. A passive-to-active angle reproduction test was used to measure the proprioception precision of the knee joint using an electrogoniometer, and the target angle was set to a knee flexion of 30°. Proprioception precision was calculated using the error angle (angular difference from 30°). Proprioceptive precision was measured in weight-bearing and non-weight-bearing positions before and after applying WBV for 20 minutes at 12 Hz in barefoot and shoe-wearing conditions. Mixed repeated analysis of variance was used to determine the differences in changes in the proprioceptive precision of the knee joint according to foot conditions. Results: There were significant improvements in the weight-bearing (p = 0.002) and non-weight-bearing (p < 0.001) proprioceptive precision of the knee joint after applying WBV. However, there was no significant difference in the change in proprioceptive precision of the knee joint after applying WBV between the barefoot and shoe-wearing conditions. Conclusion: WBV stimulation had an immediate effect on improving the proprioceptive precision of the knee joint. However, foot conditions (barefoot or shoe-wearing) during WBV application did not influence the proprioceptive precision of the knee joint.

Because Chinese Remainder Theorem based RSA (RSA CRT) offers a faster version of modular exponentiation than ordinary repeated squaring, it is promoting with standard. Unfortunately there are major security issues associated with RSA CRT, since Bellcore announced a fault-based cryptanalysis against RSA CRT in 1996. In 1997, Shamir developed a countermeasure using error free immune checking procedure. And soon it became known that the this checking procedure can not effect as the countermeasures. Recently Yen proposed two hardware fault immune protocols for RSA CRT, and this two protocols do not assume the existence of checking procedure. However, in FDTC 2006, the method of attack against the Yen's two protocols was introduced. In this paper, the main purpose is to present a countermeasure against the method of attack from FDTC 2006 for CRT-RSA. The proposed countermeasure use a characteristic bit operation and dose not consider an additional operation.
Purpose: Using two types of electronic apex locators, this study aimed to investigate the differences in accuracy according to the evaluator and equipment. Materials and Methods: Artificial teeth of the lower first premolars and two mandibular acrylic models (A and B) were used in this study. In the artificial teeth, the pulp chamber was opened and the access cavity was prepared. Using calibrated digital Vernier calipers, the distance from the top of the cavity and the root apex was measured to assess the actual distance between two artificial teeth. The evaluation was conducted by 20 dentists, and each evaluator repeated measurements for each electronic apex locator five times. The difference between the actual distance from the top of the cavity to the root apex and the distance measured using electronic measuring equipment was compared. For statistical analysis, the Friedman test the Mann-Whitney U-test were conducted and the differences between groups were analyzed (α=0.05). Result: As for the accuracy of measurement according to the two types of electronic apex locators, the value of the measurement error was 0.4753 mm in Dentaport ZX and 0.3321 mm in E-Cube Plus. Moreover, electronic apex locators Dentaport ZX and E-Cube Plus showed statistically significant differences (P<0.05). As for the difference in the accuracy of the two types of electronic apex locators according to the evaluator, the resulting values differed depending on the evaluator and showed a statistically significant difference (P<0.001). Conclusion: Electronic apex locator E-Cube Plus showed higher accuracy than did Dentaport ZX. Nevertheless, both types of electronic apex locators showed 100% accuracy in finding the region within root apex ±0.5 mm zone. Furthermore, according to the evaluator, the two electronic apex locators showed different resulting values.
Purpose: The purpose of this research was to investigate the effects of performing Pilates exercises for eight weeks on the isokinetic trunk strength and balance of female middle school students with lumbago. Methods: Twenty-four female students who met the test requirements were recruited and randomly divided into a control group (CG, n = 16) and a Pilates exercise group (Pilates group; PG, n = 8). The PG performed a Pilates program, which consisted of lumbar muscle strengthening exercises, for 60 minutes three times a week for eight weeks. Data analysis was conducted by two-way repeated ANOVA, and a Bonferroni test was carried out when significant differences appeared. The alpha level was set at 0.05. Results: Following the experimental treatment, the PG showed an increased trunk flexion peak torque of 17% and 13% at angular velocities of 180°/sec and 300°/sec, respectively. The intergroup comparison showed no significant difference at pre-measurement, while the PG increased about 31% (180°/sec) and 15% (300°/sec) higher than the control group at post-measurement. Following the experimental treatment, the PG showed an increased trunk extensor peak torque of approximately 29% and 21% at angular velocities of 180°/sec and 300°/sec, respectively. The intergroup comparison showed no significant difference at pre-measurement, while the PG increased approximately 27% (180°/sec) and 15% (300°/sec) higher than the control group at post-measurement. Both the CG and the PG showed a 20% and 50% decrease in pain index after the experimental treatment, respectively. After the experimental treatment, the PG had about 50% lower pain than the CG. The average error rate of static balance in the PG reduced by 19% from 3.28±0.45 to 2.65±0.36, confirming a significant improvement. Conclusion: Regular Pilates exercise for eight weeks improved the isokinetic trunk muscle strength of female middle school students with lumbago and relieved their pain. Pilates was also shown to be effective in improving balance.
