Load current and Temperature measurement system for Measuring the Degradation of Power cable (전력케이블의 열화측정을 위한 부하전류 및 온도측정 시스템)

  • Recently, there has been a surge in interest in equipment diagnosis and monitoring technology from the perspective of providing quality electricity in terms of reliability and safety. In order to meet the electrical demands of consumers, reliability of power supply needs to be maintained. For this purpose, a monitoring system for power cable is very important. Since real-time measuring equipment has many advantages, it is highly applicable. By measuring the load current and the surface temperature of power cables, we have monitored and identified the deterioration phenomena of power cables in operation. Since direct measurement of the cable conductor temperature is not easy, we have measured the surface temperature instead, and converted that temperature to obtain the conductor temperature of the cables. In addition, we have designed a system to detect the deterioration processes of the power cables in operation.

  • In food choice, consumers consider importantly food safely and reliability focusing on a high qualify control. Also they are concerned about sustainable production and consumption considering of area and environment. In this paper, We propose and design the high-quality seafood production support system that is based on international sanitary standard haccp, traceability and eco-fiendly seafood certification for safety and reliability of the seafood production. The system is categorized into five part: aquafarm haccp, environmental control monitoring, traceability, disease prevention and messenger service and seafood price inquiry service. The proposed system utilize diverse ubiquitous-it technologies like usn, network cctv, mobile device etc.

A Study on HILS Test Modeling and Simulation for Telegraph Controller Verification (Telegraph 제어기 검증을 위한 HILS 테스트 모델링 및 시뮬레이션 연구)

  • The telegraph controller is a device used to control the speed of a ship, and it is a device that has a very direct effect on the safety of the crew. Accordingly, ship owners demand very high reliability of the telegraph controller, and the classification trend is to introduce HILS (hardware in loop system) test as a method to verify reliability. Therefore, in this paper, an electric propulsion ship was modeled to perform the HILS test of the Telegraph controller. For modeling, the specifications of the electric propulsion tug boat were defined, and the battery parts, propulsion motor parts, and ship model parts were modeled. In addition, various operation scenarios were defined and the Telegraph controller was modeled accordingly. Finally, the results of the integrated model were confirmed through simulation.

  • As the importance of autonomous vehicle safety is emphasized, the application of ISO-26262, a development verification guideline for improving safety and reliability, and the safety verification of autonomous vehicles are becoming increasingly important, in particular, SAE standard level 3 or higher level autonomous vehicles detect and decision the surrounding environment instead of the human driver. Therefore, if there is and failure or malfunction in the autonomous driving function, safety may be seriously affected. So autonomous vehicles, it is essential to apply and verity the safety concept against failure and malfunctions. In this study, we study the fault injection scenarios for safety evaluation and verification of autonomous vehicles using ISO-26262 part3 process and STPA were studied and safety measures for safety concept design were studied through simulation bases fault injection test.

  • Electrical property of polymeric insulating plays a key role in the trend of making power apparatus high voltage, and reliability and safety of apparatus in the long term depend on it. There is a recent trend of applying polymeric material to insulating material for outdoor, and particularly it is expected that it may be used partly as a pin insulator. Using as an alternate of insulating material for outdoor, however, it has still many problems to be solved in the field of material such as resistances of environment and tracking. It has been given attention to that the silicon rubbers and the epoxy have recently been used. but the the reliability in the viewpoint of material property becomes an issue. The polymeric materials such as EPDM, Epoxy and PVC have also been used as an insulating materials for outdoor. In this point of view, we studied each tracking phenomenon with test material such as rubber for pin, PVC for powercable used as an insulating material for outdoor, and Epoxy etc. The characteristics of anti tracking shows EPDM>Epoxy>PVC in order in the results. We also know that there is an close relationship between properties of tracking and thermegravimetry.

Development of the Two-piece Aluminum Wheels Using the Friction Stir Welding (마찰교반용접법을 이용한 2피스 알루미늄 휠의 개발)

  • Owing to high oil prices and environmental issues, the automobile industry has conducted considerable research and made large investments to manufacture a high-efficiency automobiles. In the case of automobile wheels in which a lightweight material is used to increase the fuel efficiency a mold is used to increase the production efficiency; however, the use of the molding method for this purpose is very expensive. Therefore an automobile wheel consists of two parts. In this study a two-piece automobile wheel is manufactured by the friction stir welding(FSW) of Al6061-T6 to reduce the manufacturing cost and process complexity. The FSW welding tool geometry and rotational speed, and the feed rate are key factors that significantly affect the weld strength. Therefore tensile tests were conducted on specimens produced using various welding conditions, and the optimal FSW welding conditions were applied to manufacture aluminum wheels. To ensure reliability, prototype aluminum wheels were manufactured and their mechanical reliability and safety were evaluated using a durability test, fatigue durability test, and impact test. Through this study, aluminum wheel production was made possible using the FSW method.

  • IoT can be connected through a single network not only objects which can be connected to existing internet but also objects which has communication capability. This IoT environment will be a huge change to the existing communication paradigm. However, the big security problem must be solved in order to develop further IoT. Security mechanisms reflecting these characteristics should be applied because devices participating in the IoT have low processing ability and low power. In addition, devices which perform abnormal behaviors between objects should be also detected. Therefore, in this paper, we proposed D-IDS technique for efficient detection of malicious attack nodes between devices participating in the IoT. The proposed technique performs the central detection and distribution detection to improve the performance of attack detection. The central detection monitors the entire network traffic at the boundary router using SVM technique and detects abnormal behavior. And the distribution detection combines RSSI value and reliability of node and detects Sybil attack node. The performance of attack detection against malicious nodes is improved through the attack detection process. The superiority of the proposed technique can be verified by experiments.

  • Recent advances in electronics have enabled various conventional products to incorporate with numerous powerful microcontroller. Generally, an embedded system is a computer system designed for specific control functions within a larger system, often with real-time computing constraints. The growing performance and reliability of hardware components and the possibilities brought by various design method enabled implementing complex functions that improve the comport of the system's occupant as well as their safety. A cyber physical system (CPS) is a system featuring a tight combination of, and coordination between, the system's computational and physical elements. The concept of cyber physical system, including physical elements, cyber elements, and shared networks, has been introduced due to two general reasons: design flexibility and reliability. This paper presents a cyber physical system where system components are connected to a shared network, and control functions are divided into small tasks that are distributed over a number of embedded controllers with limited computing capacity. In order to demonstrate the effectiveness of cyber physical system, an unmanned forklift with autonomous obstacle avoidance ability is implemented and its performance is experimentally evaluated.

Customer Satisfaction at Tiki.vn E-Commerce Platform

  • This study has four objectives: (1) Identifying factors that affect customer satisfaction on online service quality of Tiki.vn, (2) Measuring the level of impact of the factors, (3) Testing the difference in satisfaction among groups of customers with different characteristics in terms of gender, age, income, academic level, and occupation, and (4) Proposing some managerial implications to improve the quality of online services by interviewing directly and online 200 individual customers who have shopped at Tiki.vn E-commerce platform for at least the last six months, using the convenient sampling method. This study analyzes the reliability of the scale through the Cronbach's alpha coefficient, Exploratory factor analysis, and Linear regression analysis. The findings identified four factors that influence positively customer satisfaction regarding the quality of online services in Tiki.vn E-commerce platform in the order of descending strength: (1) Trust, (2) Customer service, (3) Web design and (4) Safety. In addition, the results show no difference in customer satisfaction according to different academic levels, but in terms of occupation and income, gender, and age. The results show that the factors influencing most customer satisfaction are Reliability and Customer Service. Some managerial implications are then proposed to improve the quality of online shopping services at Tiki.vn.

  • The importance of emergency diesel generator(EDG) has confirmed in the safety evaluation of PSA and the study on aging of EDG has been progressed actively as a part of the project of nuclear plant aging research in the U.S.A. As the result, the concept of performance evaluation is being transferred from statistical analysis of test results to performance monitoring and trending analysis for monitoring of aging and reliability. Recently, the study related aging characteristic and reliability for EDGS has begun in Korea. Consequently, the efficient performance monitoring based systematic and integrated monitoring and failure diagnostic technology is necessary. In the research, the knowledge basis of monitoring parameters for EDGS is constructed, and the prototype monitoring and diagnosis system applicable to Pielstick EDG is developed.
