The influence of prestress force on the fundamental frequency and static deflection shape of uncracked Prestressed Concrete (PC) beams with a parabolic bonded tendon was examined in this paper. Due to the conflicts among existing theories, the analytical solutions for properly considering the dynamic and static behavior of these members is not straightforward. A series of experiments were conducted for a total period of approximately 2.5 months on a PC beam made with high strength concrete, subsequently and closely to the 28 days of age of concrete. Specifically, the simply supported PC member was short term subjected to free transverse vibration and three-point bending tests during its early-age. Subsequently, the experimental data were compared with a model that describes the dynamic behavior of PC girders as a combination of two substructures interconnected, i.e., a compressed Euler-Bernoulli beam and a tensioned parabolic cable. It was established that the fundamental frequency of uncracked PC beams with a parabolic bonded tendon is sensitive to the variation of the initial elastic modulus of concrete in the early-age curing. Furthermore, the small variation in experimental frequency with time makes doubtful its use in inverse problem identifications. Conversely, the relationship between prestress force and static deflection shape is well described by the magnification factor formula of the "compression-softening" theory by assuming the variation of the chord elastic modulus of concrete with time.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the factors influencing depression among married Vietnamese immigrant women living in Korea. Methods: This study was a retrospective review of the dataset from the Korean 2018 National Multicultural Family Survey. The data were analyzed using the Rao-Scott x2 test and multiple logistic regression using complex samples analysis. Results: The proportion of married Vietnamese immigrant women subjects in Korea who experienced depression was 27.7%. The factors affecting depression were age, length of stay in Korea, living area, economic status, difficulties in using medical care, difficulties faced during their stay in Korea and Korean language skills relationship with spouse and parents-in-law marital conflicts, cultural differences, their experience of social discrimination, life satisfaction, and meeting with friends from their homeland. Conclusion: The findings in this study indicate that the prevention of depression in married immigrant women in Korea could be aided by acculturation programs that deal with the relationships with their spouses and social supports.
This study examined the experience of middle-aged women, centering on the home as the residence of never-married children. I conducted interviews with four such women in their 50s and 60s who had experienced the residential independence of never-married children within the past five years, and a variety of field texts were used as research texts. Through reconstructing the participants' experiences, two main themes emerged: experiencing anxiety regarding alienation from their child and expecting to resolve this anxiety through the marriage of their child. The participants were anxious about their never-married children, and this study found that at the root of this was anxiety regarding being alienated from their children. The participants often attempted to visit their children's homes to relieve such anxiety but, as their children often discouraged this, the situation was aggravated. Thus, the participants wished for their children to marry, as they aspired to restore an intimate relationship with them through such an event. These results imply that tensions and conflicts between parents and children may arise due to the independence of never-married children.
Purpose: This study aimed to explore the constructs and context of hospital nurses' organizational silence. Methods: In-depth interviews were conducted with 17 nurses in small-middle general hospitals as well as big university hospitals. We then derived the key themes using grounded theory method. Results: Nine themes and 30 sub-themes were derived: "Willing to be recognized for performance rather than saying", "Getting used to the hard-to-speak climate", "Face the reality that does not change when said", "Complicated situation that prevents self-regulating decision-making", "Conflicts that are difficult to confront", "Unfair responsibilities that I want to evade", "Leaders who don't support me", and "Being blocked in communication". Consequently, the nurses learned to adopt a climate of silence and "learned organizational silence" behavior. They experienced that prosocial silence was essential for obtaining approval as a member of the group, and defensive silence for protecting themselves in the hierarchical structure and unfair responsibilities. Acquiescent silence originated from a futile relationship with their supervisors, one-way communications, and the unsupportive management system, in which three types of silence appeared sequentially or in combination with each other. Conclusion: Based on these results, nursing managers should identify the context of nurses' organizational silence and should lessen these silence behaviors.
This study aims to analyze a harmonious approach between trade norms for the protection of human rights and the WTO agreements is increasingly necessary and important. conflicts and harmonization that may occur between major human rights protection trade norms and WTO agreements were comprehensively reviewed. The hard legalization of corporate social responsibility for sustainable development, such as human rights protection, was in conflict with the WTO Agreement, which was based on the principle of non-discrimination. As the currently expanding human rights protection trade norms reflect differences in the positions of developed and developing countries, it was also pointed out that there may be disputes over WTO compatibility and distorted protectionism measures. Accordingly, the applicability of the general exceptions to Article 20 of the GATT were reviewed together, and Article 20(a) of GATT, "necessary to protect public morals" may differ between developed and developing countries, and thus limitations were also considered. At the same time, When it is necessary to take regulatory measures such as prohibition of imports from a specific country for human rights protection, it was reviewed and proposed domestic trade norms revision.

Oil price prediction is an important issue for the regulators of the government and the related industries. When employing the time series techniques for prediction, however, it becomes difficult and challenging since the behavior of the series of oil prices is dominated by quantitatively unexplained irregular external factors, e.g., supply- or demand-side shocks, political conflicts specific to events in the Middle East, and direct or indirect influences from other global economical indices, etc. Identifying and quantifying the relationship between oil price and those external factors may provide more relevant prediction than attempting to unclose the underlying structure of the series itself. Technically, this implies the prediction is to be based on the vectoral data on the degrees of the relationship rather than the series data. This paper proposes a novel method for time series prediction of using Semi-Supervised Learning that was originally designed only for the vector types of data. First, several time series of oil prices and other economical indices are transformed into the multiple dimensional vectors by the various types of technical indicators and the diverse combination of the indicator-specific hyper-parameters. Then, to avoid the curse of dimensionality and redundancy among the dimensions, the wellknown feature extraction techniques, PCA and NLPCA, are employed. With the extracted features, a timepointspecific similarity matrix of oil prices and other economical indices is built and finally, Semi-Supervised Learning generates one-timepoint-ahead prediction. The series of crude oil prices of West Texas Intermediate (WTI) was used to verify the proposed method, and the experiments showed promising results : 0.86 of the average AUC.
The present study examined the relationships between work related flow (i.e., absorption, work enjoyment, and intrinsic work motivation) and role conflict causes (i.e., teacher's belief, teaching and interaction with young children, comradeship, relationships with parents, workload, supervision, and social awareness of the job). A canonical correlation analysis was performed on the data from a sample of 154 childcare teachers. The results are as follows (1) there was a reciprocal-causal relationship between teachers' role conflict causes and their work-related flow; (2) canonical function 1 showed that absorption and work enjoyment are strongly associated to a teacher's belief and supervision of conflict causes; and (3) canonical function 2 showed that intrinsic motivation has a relatively strong relationship with workload and supervision of conflict causes. It can be concluded that it is important for childcare teachers to have sufficient job resources to promote their flow at work. Further research is needed for investigation of teacher's flow at various conditions of work.

The purpose of this study were to explorer the factors affecting the psychological well-being of working mothers and to investigate the moderating effect of spousal support and support systems for work family compatibility on relationship between work-family conflict and psychological well-being. The subjects were 300 working mothers who are aged under 50, have more than one child live in Seoul. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 21.0. The Results are follows. First, the analysis of work-family conflicts, spousal support and support systems for work-family compatibility, and psychological well-being of working mothers indicated that the working mothers perceived family-work conflict to be higher than work-family conflict. The working mothers received stronger support from support systems intended for work-family compatibility than from their spouses. The score of the psychological well-being of the working mothers was 3.27 (standard deviation = .91), which is higher than median. Second, the factors influencing the working mothers' psychological well-being were age, monthly household income, number of children, work${\rightarrow}$family and family${\rightarrow}$work conflict, and spousal support. Greater psychological well-being was linked to a young maternal age, a high monthly household income, a low number of children, low levels of work${\rightarrow}$family and family${\rightarrow}$work conflict, and strong spousal support. Third, spousal support mediated the relationship between family${\rightarrow}$work conflict and psychological well-being.
The main purposes of this thesis are to examine the job satisfaction of dental technicians, to explore the factors which have impacts on the job satisfaction of the dental technicians, and finally to address some suggestions for dental technicians in order to improve their job satisfaction. This study is based on the survey data which were conducted among dental technicians engaged in the dental technical places in Daegu area from March 1, 2003, to March 31, 2003. Three hundreds and twenty questionnaires were distributed and 304 of them were collected. Among them 293 questionnaires were eventually used for the statistical analysis. Descriptive and regression analysis were introduced, and in which 12 independent variables and one dependent variable were included. The results of this study are as follows: Approximately 50 percent of the dental technicians in Daegu expressed that they were satisfied with their job, while about 20 percent of them were not satisfied with their job. According to the multiple regression analysis, work environment($\beta$,=0.216), human relationship($\beta$,=0.405), and self-esteem($\beta$,=0.156) have statistically significant positive effects on job satisfaction. On the other hand, conflicts caused in the process of carrying out their jobs have statistically a significant negative effect($\beta$,=-0.166) on job satisfaction. Among 12 independent variables, human relationship has the strongest effect($\beta$,=0.405) on job-satisfaction and 12 independent variables explains approximately 35 percent of variance in the job-satisfaction of dental technicians in Daegu. In conclusion, with regard to the improvement for the job-satisfaction of dental technicians, the association of dental technicians' active concern and long-term plans are necessary. Finally, some suggestions for the increase of the level of job satisfaction of dental technicians are introduced and discussed.

Even though current firms achieve organizational innovation with diverse workforce, previous studies on the relationship between workforce diversity and firm innovation revealed mixed results. To explain these inconsistent findings, this study examines the contradictory aspects of diversity, and divides innovative performance as exploitative and exploratory innovation. In particular, the main focus of this study is age diversity and firm innovation, since most Korean firms suffer from inter-generational conflicts. In addition, this study explores the moderating role of cohesive and innovative culture as the strong norms within the organization. The HCCP data was used to test these hypotheses. As predicted, age diversity negatively influences exploitative innovation, and positively affects exploratory innovation. However, the moderating role of cohesive culture was not statistically significant. Conversely, innovative culture strengthens the positive relationship between them.
