치과 임플란트 계획시 개인용 컴퓨터를 이용한 영상재형성에 관한 연구 (Image Reformation with a Personal Computer for Dental Implant Planning)

  • This study was performed to demonstrate the method of image reformation for dental implants, using a personal computer with inexpensive softwares and to compare the images reformatted using the above method with those using Dentascan software. CT axial slices of 4 mandibles of 4 volunteers from GE Highspeed Advantage(GE Medical systems, U.S.A.) were used. personal computer used for image reformation was PowerWave 604/120 (Power computing Co, U.S.A. ) and softwares used were Osiris (Univ. Hospital of Geneva, Switzerland) and ImportACLESS Vl.1 (Designed Access Co., U.S.A.) for importing CT images and NIH image 1.58 (NIH, U.S.A.) for image processing. Seven image were selected among the serial reconstructed cross-sectional images produced by Dentascan. Seven resliced cross-sectional images at the same position were obtained at the personal computer. Regression analysis of the measurements of PC group was done against those of DS group. Measurements of the bone height and width at the reformer cross-sectional images using Mac-compatible computer was highly correlated with those using workstation with Dentascan software(height : r2= 0.999, p<0.001, width : r2= 0.993, p <0.001). So, it is considered that we can use a personal computer with inexpensive software for the dental implant planning, instead of the expensive software and workstation.

  • In this article, we recognize the cross-cultural communication between Greece and Spain through El Greco's pictures. The Greeks of Crete kept to their culture and continued to look to the declining Byzantine Empire for spiritual and political guidance. For two centuries after the conquest, the strength of the Byzantine tradition had become the moral and spiritual sustenance of the conquered in Crete. The basic contribution of Cretan intellectuals or artists such as El Greco of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries was the forging of connecting links between the Hellenism of the old Byzantine East and the rising, youthful Hellenism of the Renaissance West. In this way, Crete served as an important halfway point between East and West. The saint Mary Magdalene was symbol of Christian penitence, which represents the penitential life personified and became widespread during the Counter Reformation, when new emphasis was put on the value of prayer and repentance in the forgiveness of sin. In Spain, the Penitent Magdalene was popular and El Greco painted many versions, which at the first time, were reflected by Tiziano, on the contrary, at the time of Toledo, were recreated by his own style. Although El Greco was converted to Catholic in Spain, his faith in Greek Orthodox Church influenced on his original painting world. El Greco had never painted a picture whose subject treat with the emphasis of identification between Mary Magdalene and Mary, younger sister of Martha.

평생학습사회의 기반구축과 학교도서관매체 센터에 관한 연구 (A Study on School Library Media Center as an infrastructure of lifelong learning in society)

  • 학교도서관매체센터가 학교교육에 긍정적 영향을 줄뿐만 아니라 평생학습사회의 하부구조임을 밝히는 것이 본 논고의 목적이다. 평생학습사회는 사회구성원의 학습욕구와 이를 지원할 수 있는 학습환경이 구비됨으로써 형성될 수 있다. 그리고 학교도서관매체센터는 사회구성원들의 학습욕구를 형성시켜주는 산실로 규명된다. 민주주의 사회에서 사회구성원들이 학습욕구를 강하게 가질 때 사회환경이 학습하기에 적절하고 편리하도록 변형된다는 것은 자연스러운 논리이다. 결과적으로 학교도서관매체센터는 사회구성원의 학습욕구를 만들어 내고 또 이에 응하는 사회환경을 조성하는 원동력을 조성해 낸다고 할 수 있다. 그러므로 필자는 학교도서관매체센터가 평생학습사회의 중요한 하부구조라고 밝히고 있다.
