교육과정 개정에 따른 과학의 본성 수준 및 반영정도 탐색 : 7차 및 2009 개정교육과정사례 분석 (Exploring the level of nature of science and its degree of revising curriculums: The case of the 7th and 2009 revised curriculums)

  • 본 연구는 최근 과학의 본성이 강조되어가고 있는 시점에서 우리나라 7차 교육과정 공통과학 교과서에서 2009개정 교육과정 융합과학 교과서로 교육과정의 발전에 따라 과학의 본성 반영정도와 수준이 어떻게 변화되고 있는지 알아보았다. '과학의 본성'의 수준은 과학자들의 과학에 대한 관점을 나타내는 과학적 관점과 일반적으로 생각하거나 과학적 오개념을 나타낼 수 있는 순수한 관점으로, 교수 방법은 명시적 방법과 암시적 방법으로 분류하였다. 그렇게 과학적관점인지 순수한관점인지, 명시적인지 암시적인지의 총 4가지의 경우의 수를 이용하여 정의 하였다. Lederman(2001)의 7가지 정의를 참고한 10가지 항목을 이용해 교과서 안에 반영된 구성요소와 수준을 확인 할 수 있도록 '과학의 본성 분석 틀(NOSAT: Nature of Science Analyzing Tool)'을 개발하여 자료 분석에 사용하였고 연구결과, 교육과정이 7차 교육과정 공통과학에서 2009개정 교육과정 융합과학으로 변화함에 따라 과학의 본성에 대한 반영 정도는 발전보다 오히려 역행하고 있음을 확인 할 수 있었다. 탐구단원을 제외한 7차 교육과정 공통과학의 이론단원에서 명시적인 과학의 본성은 찾기 어려웠고, 2009개정 교육과정에서는 2007교육과정 탐구단원에서 볼 수 있었던 과학의 본성마저 사라진 것을 확인 할 수 있었다. 이러한 결과는 앞으로의 교육과정에서 과학의 본성이 제한적으로 표시될 것이 아니라 좀 더 적극적으로 반영하되 그 방법을 암시적이 아닌 명시적으로 반영하여 직접적인 교수가 되어야 할 것을 시사한다. 이를 위해서 교과서 집필자가 과학의 본성에 대한 정확한 이해를 가지고 집필해야 하고, 올바른 교수를 위해서 교사의 역량이 중요하며, 교사들을 대상으로 하는 과학의 본성에 대한 정확한 이해 및 실천에 대한 연수가 필요하다고 할 수 있다.

열린어린이집에 대한 인식과 요구도: 어린이집 원장, 교사 및 부모를 중심으로 (Perceptions and Needs for the Open-Childcare Center: Focused on Director, Teacher, and Parent)

  • This study investigated the difference of perception and needs among director, teacher, and parent for an open-childcare center focused on parent participation. The subjects of this study consisted of 56 directors, 231 teachers, and 299 parents in childcare centers in Seoul, Gyeonggi, Incheon, Chungcheong, and Gyeongsang province. They completed a questionnaire about the perception and needs of an open-childcare center, which was later analyzed by SPSS ver. 23.0. The findings were as follows. First, five areas of open-childcare center were 'participating activities as various roles,' 'willingness of parent participation,' 'reflection of parent needs,' 'concern about CCTV,' and 'sharing outdoor spaces.' Second, the perception of directors concerning open-childcare centers were higher than the ones for teachers or parents; however, there were differences in perception depending on their perspective position. The biggest perception of directors was 'participating activities as various roles,' and parents' one was 'concerned about CCTV.' However, the perceptions of teachers were a lower level than the other two groups'. Third, the directors showed a higher level of needs to promote an open-childcare center (except for one concerned about CCTV). Parents also showed their needs 'increasing awareness of open-childcare program,' 'promoting to parent's participation,' 'communication with on-line,' and 'concerning CCTV.' The implication of these results were discussed as action plans to promote an open-childcare center.

PDP용 광대역 EMC 필터의 설계 및 제작에 관한 연구 (A Study on Design and Fabrication of Broad-Band EMC filter for PDP)

  • 정밀 전기.전자기기들이 외부의 전원장해와 과도 전압에 의하여 오동작되거나 부품이 파괴되어 기기의 기억장치가 지워지기도 하며, 전도성 노이즈의 형태로 다른 기기에 장해원이 될 수도 있는 등 그 피해가 늘고 있어 이에 대한 보호대책이 요구되고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 디지털 영상기기인 PDP를 측정대상기기(EUT)로 하여 임피던스에 적합한 노이즈 저감 필터를 제작하고, 더불어 관통형(Feed-through) 커패시터 와 높은 투자율을 가진 페라이트 비드로 이루어 진 필터를 함께 적용한 PDP용 광대역 EMC 필터를 제작하고, 그 특성을 평가하였다. 본 연구에서 제작한 필터의 삽입손실은 10 MHz~l.5 GHz에서 40 dB 이상 감쇠되어 CISPR Pub. 22규격과 IEC 61000-4-4의 level 4까지 만족하는 우수한 필터임을 확인하였다.

다양한 흡착자에 대한Si(113) $\times$2 표면의 상변화 연구 (Adsorbate-induced reconstructions of $\times$2 surface)

  • 전자회절법을 이용하여 K및 다양한 흡착자에 의한 Si(113)3 $\times$ 2 표면의 상변화를 관찰하였으며 광전자분광법을 이용하여 산소 노출량에 따른 가전자대 및 내각준위스펙트럼을 관찰하였다. 산소 흡착에 의해 가전자대의 표면상태가 내각준위에서 관찰되는 두 피크(S1, S2)와 동시에 사라지면서 3$\times$1 주기성을 보였다. 특히 이러한 변화가 동종물질인 실리콘 증착에서도 관찰되었으며 후열처리에 의해 3$\times$2 주기성으로 환원되는 것으로 미루어 Si(113)3$\times$2 표면의 3$\times$1으로의 초기 상전이가 실리콘 표면의 흡착자에 의해서 형성된 것이 아니며 기판 자체의 재배열과 관련되어 있음을 확인하였다.

하천 홍수 위험 감시를 위한 다중센서 기반 하천 관측 기술 개발 (Development of Multi-Sensor based River Monitoring Technology for River Flood Risk surveillance)

  • This paper proposes a core technology for a micro river monitoring terminal device suitable for flood monitoring in small rivers and valleys. Our proposed device is basically equipped with a 77GHz radar, gyro and accelerometer sensors. To measure the flow velocity and water level, we proposed a signal processing technique that extracts pure water energy components from the observed Doppler velocity and reflection intensity from the radar. And to determine the stability of the river structure equipped with our device, we constantly monitor the displacement of the measured values of the gyro and accelerometer sensors. Experimental result verified that our method detects pure water energy in various river environments and distinguishes between flow velocity and water level well. And we verified that vibration and position change of structures can be determined through a gyro sensor. In future research, we will work to build a secure digital twin river network by lowering the cost of supplying RF-WAV devices. Also we expect our device to contribute to securing a preventive golden time in rivers.

Plasma Carnitine Profiles in Different Aged Normal Korean Women : Hypothesis of Possible Significance

  • The present study was conducted to find out whether there are some differences in plasma carnitine levels among young-, middle-, and old-aged normal Korean women. Daily food intake, body fat content, plasma lipids and carnitine levels were measured in 153 samples from 44 young (20-24 years old), 49 middle-aged (30-49 years old), and 63 old (65-85 years old) normal volunteers. The differences in concentrations of nonesterified acylcarnitine and acid-soluble acylcarnitine were not statistically significant among them. However, acid insoluble acylcarnitine (AIAC) level in plasma decreased with age. Moreover, total carnitine (TCNE) level in the young group was significantally higher than in old and middle-aged groups. Body fat content in the young group was significantly lower than in old and middle-aged groups. Plasma total cholesterol increased with age and triglycerides in the old group were significantly higher than in young and middle-aged groups. These results suggest that the higher levels of AIAC and TCNE in the young group may be a reflection of their lipid metabolic state, which is different from middle-aged and old groups.

Reflection and Challenge for Science and Technology Policy Studies in Korea

  • We have identified the paradigm, the knowledge structure, and the roles of S&T policy studies in Korea by empirical analysis and focus group interviews. First, it provisionally concluded that S&T policy studies in Korea are still in the pre-paradigm stage. Specifically, the level of consensus among scholars about the "academic definition of discipline" and "research scope", which is essential for an independent discipline, is still low. Next, a great part of the existing S&T policy studies in Korea is excessively weighted in specific research scopes and researcher groups. For a balanced development as an academic discipline, such imbalance must be overcome. Third, the studies in Korea showed that much of the research in the earlier stage was fragmented at the micro-level. More recently, however, S&T policy studies show co-evolutionary patterns, which increase the responsiveness of the society. Based on this analysis, the future direction of studies should form a unique flow of our own, building Korean policy cases and models rather than following those developed countries.

한국 남성 심근경색증 환자의 질병 체험에 관한 현상학적 연구 (Phenomenological Study on Illness Experience of Men with Myocardial Infarction in Korea)

  • Purpose: The purpose of the study was to identify and describe illness experiences of men with myocardial infarction. Methods: Data were collected through individual in-depth interviews with 10 male patients. Analysis was done using phenomenological analysis. Results: Five theme clusters including 11 themes emerged. 1) "Unexpected grave disease instantly dividing life and death" describes the great ignorance of symptoms and experience as a survivor narrowly escaping death. 2) "A disease still not considered a disease" illustrates the paradoxical and confusing situation between low level of awareness of the severity of the disease and high level of reflection on their unhealthy lifestyles. 3) "Fighting against me for health" illustrates their resolution and action to maintain health while experiencing helplessness. 4) "Relationships in a no-win situation" contains defensive posture due to social stigma and the dilemma of family breadwinners. And 5) "Introspection of past and future life" describes positive turnings in life through enlightenment in addition to remorseful feeling about the past and persistent worry of death. Conclusion: Health professionals need to support men with myocardial infarction by providing family-oriented and empowerment-based self-management interventions to lead to success in their illness journey and to improve their quality of life.

Adsorption and Thermal Reduction Mechanism of CO2 on ZnO/Cu Model Catalysts

  • Cu/ZnO/$Al_2O_3$ is widely used methanol synthesis catalyst at elevated pressures P (50 to 100 bar) and temperatures T (473 to 573 K) using $CO_2$, CO, $H_2$ syngas mixture. Although Cu step and planar defects have been regarded as active sites in this catalyst, detailed $CO_2$ hydrogenation procedure has been still unknown and debated as well as initial intermediate. In this study, we investigated the mechanism of $CO_2$ hydrogenation on Cu(111) model surface at P (1 bar) and T (298 to 450 K) using reflection absorption infrared spectroscopy (RAIRS). Two distinct formates by hydrogenation of $CO_2$, on step and on terrace, show different behavior with elevating temperature. The peak intensity of on step formate was continuously decreased above 360 K up to 450K in contrast to the increase of on terrace formate. These phenomena are strong possibilities that the formate is initial intermediate and is desorbed by hydrogenation reaction because thermal desorption temperature of formate (~470 K) is much higher than desorption of on step formate. And the formate production peak of on step site was weakly correlated with CO formation.

Degree of conversion of resin composite cured by light through a translucent fiber posts

  • PURPOSE. This study evaluated the depth of cure of resin composite cured by light through a translucent fiber post. MATERIALS AND METHODS. The opaque plastic tubes in various lengths of 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 mm. were filled with resin composite in which two different translucent fiber posts were inserted into the center and photo-polymerized for 40 seconds. The degree of conversion of the cured composite at bottom surface were examined using Fourier transform infrared attenuated total reflection spectrometer (FTIR/ATR) at 0.1, 0.5 and 1.0 mm apart from the post surface. RESULTS. The degree of conversion of the 0.1 mm, 0.5 mm, 1.0 mm apart from the post surface was highest at the 2 mm level and continuously decreased when the distance from the light source was increased and drastically decreased when the depth from the top of the post was greater than 4-6 mm. For each level, the highest degree of conversion was at 0.1 mm from the post surface and decreased continuously when the distance apart from the post surface was increased. CONCLUSION. The quantity of light transmission depends on the type of post and the light transmission capability of the post, especially after 4-6 mm depth and the area further apart from the post surface, are insufficient for clinical light activation of resin composite.
