  • This paper describes a PID controller for an attraction type magnetic levitation system considering $H^{\infty}$ performance. PID controllers are a kind of fixed structure reduced order controllers. Using change of variables a reduced order control problem can be recast into a static output feedback control problem and can be solved efficiently by LMI(Linear Matrix Inequality) method. In this paper, cone complementarity method is adopted and the simulation shows good results.

  • Probabilistic Risk Assessment considering statistically random variables is performed for the preliminary design of a Arch Bridge. Component reliabilities of girders have been evaluated using the response surfaces of the design variables at the selected critical sections based on the maximum shear and negative moment locations. Response Surface Method (RSM) is successfully applied for reliability analyses for this relatively small probability of failure of the complex structure, which is hard to be obtained by Monte-Carlo Simulations or by First Order Second Moment Method that can not easily calculate the derivative terms of implicit limit state functions. For the analysis of system reliability, parallel resistance system composed of girders is changed into parallel series connection system. The upper and lower probabilities of failure for the structural system have been evaluated and compared with the suggested prediction method for the combination of failure modes. The suggested prediction method for the combination of failure modes reveals the unexpected combinations of element failures in significant]y reduced time and efforts compared with the previous permutation method or system reliability analysis method.

  • 본 논문에서는 감소된 하드웨어 구조를 가지는 고성능 색조 변환 시스템을 제안한다. 입력 영상의 색조를 변환하기 위해서는 입력 영상의 색 온도를 구하는 것이 필요로 한다[1]. 색 온도를 구하기 위해서는 2-D 조명 색조 좌표에 의한 색 온도 계산 알고리즘을 필요로 한다. 그러나 20D 조명 색도 좌표 계산에 의해 색 온도 알고리즘을 채택하면 하드웨어 부담이 매우 큰 문제점이 있다. 그러므로 본 논문에서는 2-D 색 온도 알고리즘의 성능을 유지하면서, 하드웨어 복잡도를 감소시킬 수 있는 1-D 조명 색도 좌표에 의해 색 온도 계산 방법을 제안한다. 본 논문에서는 제안한 방법은 Xilinx Virtex FPGA XCV 2000E-6BG560을 이용하여 65MHz의 고속 동작과 1344*806의 고해상도를 가지는 fLCD-TV 시스템에서 검증하였다.

  • A chemiluminescent method with gold nanoparticles for determination of vitamin C has been presented. Gold nanoparticles highly increased chemiluminescence intensity of lumimol-H2O2 system by its catalytic effect. The gold nanoparticles enhanced chemiluminescent method is applicable for the determination of an antioxidant such as vitamin C. When vitamin C was introduced to the lumimol system with gold nanoparticles, chemiluminescence intensity was reduced with the concentration of the added vitamin C. Low concentrated vitamin C solutions in the range of 1×10-3-1×10-9 M were produced reduced chemiluminescence intensity of lumimol-H2O2 with gold nanoparticles system.

  • The three-phase four-leg voltage source inverter (VSI) topology can be an interesting option for the three phase-four wire system. With an additional leg, this topology can handle the neutral current, hence the DC link capacitance can be reduced significantly. In this paper the three dimensional space vector modulation (3D SVM) in ${\alpha}{\beta}{\gamma}$ coordinates for the three-phase four-leg VSI is presented. By using the 3D SVM method, the DC link voltage can be reduced by 16% compared with the split DC link capacitor topology and the output distortion can also be reduced under the unbalanced load condition.

Identification of Aerodynamic Model CFD-Based for Gust Response Analysis

  • Aeroelastic gust response analysis plays an important role in design of aircrafts. For gust response analysis, frequency domain aerodynamics method has been typically used with generalized aerodynamic influence coefficient matrices at various reduced frequencies. However, it cannot be applied to the aeroservoelastic analysis, such as gust alleviation control. Time-domain state space (SS) models must be built. It attacks little attention that gust response analysis relies on continuous gust time-domain input signal in terms of its PSD function. The aim the current study is to provide a reduced-order modeling (ROM) method based on CFD to model gust responses for continuous gust responses for continuou gust inputs in time domain. The paper analyzed the gust response of AGARD445.6 wing subjected to the Dryden gust with ROMs and compared the difference between the rigid structure and elastic one. The results demonstrate that structure elastic effect effect should be considered in the design of aircraft.

Development of reduced-order thermal stratification model for upper plenum of a lead-bismuth fast reactor based on CFD

  • After an emergency shutdown of a lead-bismuth fast reactor, thermal stratification occurs in the upper Plenum, which negatively impacts the integrity of the reactor structure and the residual heat removal capacity of natural circulation flow. The research on thermal stratification of reactors has mainly been conducted using an experimental method, a system program, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD). However, the equipment required for the experimental method is expensive, accuracy of the system program is unpredictable, and resources and time required for the CFD approach are extensive. To overcome the defects of thermal stratification analysis, a high-precision full-order thermal stratification model based on CFD technology is prepared in this study. Furthermore, a reduced-order model has been developed by combining proper orthogonal decomposition (POD) with Galerkin projection. A comparative analysis of thermal stratification with the proposed full-order model reveals that the reduced-order thermal stratification model can well simulate the temperature distribution in the upper plenum and rapidly elucidate the thermal stratification interface characteristics during the lead-bismuth fast reactor accident. Overall, this study provides an analytical tool for determining the thermal stratification mechanism and reducing thermal stratification.

안내궤도를 이용한 고무차륜 경량전철 AGT 궤도부설공법 (Method for Constructing a Railway by using a Guide-way for a Rubber-wheeled automated Transit System)

  • The railway structure for a rubber-wheeled automated guide-way transit system consists of a driveway and a guide-way. The most important factor of this system is the driveway and the guide-way aligned with each other, especially for curves and inclines section. The conventional construction method caused many problems such as discordancy by constructing the driveway before constructing the guide-way. Therefore, in this paper we introduce a new method of constructing a railway for a rubber-wheeled light rail vehicle; the new method of constructing the guide-way beforehand as a preceding process. The new method for AGT railway system can simplify the construction process and thus the construction costs may be reduced. It should also improve the driving performance and the comfortability in operating of a light rail vehicle.

  • This paper presents a frequency selection algorithm for minimization power consumption of processor in Mobile System. The proposed algorithm has processor designed low power processor using clock gating method. Clock gating method has improved the power dissipation by control main clock through the bus which is embedded clock block applying the method of clock gating. Proposed method has compared power consumption considered the dynamic power for processor, selected frequency has considered energy gain and energy consumption for designed processor. Or reduced power consumption with decreased processor speed using slack time. This technique has improved the life time of the mobile systems by clock gating method, considered energy and using slack time. As an results, the proposed algorithm reduce average power saving up to 4% comparing to not apply processor in mobile system.

  • Conventional SVPWM method has null switching vectors. Null switching vectors cause common-mode voltage making high in induction motor drive system. New SVPWM method without using null switching vectors are proposed in the paper. So, new SVPWM method reduces the common mode voltage for induction motor drive system. It is realized by changing software without adding hardware to induction motor drive system. Simulation results show that common-mode voltage adapting proposed method are reduced regarding conventional method.
