  • CUSUM control charts are widely used to monitor processes with small shifts. CUSUM control charts are, however, less effective in detecting for recurring cycles or frequent small shifts in the processes. With Shewhart control charts, we have applied the variety of run rules to check the stability of process in addition to the situations that some points fall outside the control limits. In this paper, we propose the Z -CUSUM control chart for monitoring the process with recurring cycles or frequent small shifts by use of the zone concept as like the Shewhart control charts.

  • Market failure occurs when Pareto efficiency is not achieved through market mechanism. In order to solve this problem, government intervene market; paying great attention to the optimum state of resource allocation. However, as the size of government investment in R&D goes up, many professionals emphasize the importance in efficient management system. This work is the result of exploratory study to look into life-cycle management of governmental R&D program. Literature reviews and empirical research on governmental R&D programs elicit improvements for effective life-cycle management of governmental R&D program as follows: consistent discrimination between capital expenditure and recurring expenditure, dual management system by spending properties, implementing total cost management system in capital expenditure, and discrimination between preliminary feasibility study with confirming total program cost in recurring expenditure.

  • This study has analyzed whether the virtuous cycle of value-added between the processes within the company has formed and whether the virtuous ecosystem between the processes within the industry has been built through the analysis of value chain(VC) and value system(VS) targeting the Korean photovoltaic companies. For a study method, after conducting a survey on the companies, a regression analysis was performed on the causal relationship between the process within the VC and VS. Based on the results of the analysis, for the VC of the Korean photovoltaic industry, an increase in the R&D support from the government has led to the increase in the investment of R&D for the related industry, and the increase in the investment of R&D has contributed to the increase in the growth of its productivity, and the growth in the productivity of R&D has influenced the increase in the production of solar products. In addition, the reduction of photovoltaic production cost for the company has influenced the increase of recurring profit margin compared to the sales. However it was shown that the increase in the company's production volume does not contribute to the reduction of production cost. Meanwhile, the increase in recurring profit margin compared to the sales were influencing the increase in the production volume but it was shown that the increase in the company's investment of R&D was not a contributing factor thus it was not included in the virtuous cycle. It was analyzed that the VS was shown not to influence all other processes within the industry except for the module companies where the increase in the recurring profit margin compared to the sales was influenced by the increase in the recurring profit margin compared to the sales of solar cell companies. This shows that the virtuous industrial ecosystem which should be made under the mutual cooperation by the ingot, wafer, solar cell, module and system companies are yet incomplete.

  • Moisture condensation leading to defects that occur repeatedly in the winter, and recognize the same method, the problem of the other buildings in the same area again and again, a vicious cycle that occurs due to the temporary lack of systematic research and processing way of coping has been recurring. In this study, as warming progresses, more inside the air-conditioned summer season due to an increase in the ambient temperature of the condensation phenomenon to happen about summer wall condensation phenomena are expected to analyze the case of a building to prevent condensation and for insulation designs are proposed.

  • In this paper, I'll try to read Don Lee's Yellow intertextually with a more canonical text, Sherwood Anderson's Winesburg, Ohio, in order to see what kind of traditions and techniques Yellow references and/or rewrites as a way of tracking this production. Yellow's formal properties as a short story cycle are established through its use of particular conventions. For instance, Yellow follows the short story cycle model that includes the assemblage of recurring characters into one locale. Yellow's characters are all connected to and at some point located in the fictional small town of Rosarita Bay, California. The text form aligns it with established literary conventions and traditions and suggests the author's reliance upon or trust in those modes. Yellow's setting in a small town alludes to and has often been compared to Anderson's Winesburg, Ohio, which is perhaps one of the most well-known and extensively discussed short story cycles in American literature. Also following convention is Lee's construction of Rosarita Bay and the text's third person narrator as a member of that town. Both Rosarita Bay and the narrator become important figures through the related-tale nature of the text. The method of story-telling is similar to how the town Winesburg and its "seemingly sympathetic and non-overtly judgmental" narrator are operational in Anderson's text. In sum, Yellow is opportune for intertextual reading largely because it is a collection of stories that create a linked series.
