The recent financial crisis is not yet solved. Although economic conditions are improving, the real-economy is still frozen, and considering Korea's reality of relying heavily on external trade, hardships in the global economy fall entirely upon us. In particular, since developed nations like United States and the EU have intensified logistics security since the terror attacks on September 11, 2001 and can use it as a tool for protective trade, Korea with a high dependency rate on foreign trade needs to actively cope with changes to the trade paradigm in logistics security. This paper uses DAGMAR(Defining Goals for Measured Advertising Results), a model developed by the Association of National Advertisers(ANA) to measure the results of a communication campaign as its basic model, after partially modifying it to fit the paper's objective of conducting a more systematic analysis of awareness levels in Korean export enterprise regarding logistics security.
Virtual reality is a technology that enables users to implement environments that are separate from the real world, and immersion is an important factor in implementing separate environments. However, a variety of studies have been conducted to solve this problem as the lack of awareness of the surrounding environment can lead to an unstable virtual reality game environment. Most studies are focused on solving problems through visualization. On the other hand, because visualizations are generally information that is not relevant to the space of virtual reality, research is needed on the effect of the degree of immersion in virtual reality to which they are applied. The guidelines are necessary because there are differences in individual tendencies and the factors that influence the immersion. In order to solve these two problems, we are going to conduct experiments on two systems: a survey based on the immersion tendency and a visualized communication of information about the surrounding environment. Through these results, we will measure the immersion of individuals and identify the impact of visualizations on virtual reality games by dividing them by their propensity to do so to present guidelines on the creation of virtual reality game environments based on the individual's tendency to engage in immersion.

The construction industry is considered the most hazardous industry globally. Therefore, safety education is crucial for raising the safety awareness of construction workers working at construction sites and creating a safe working environment. However, the current safety education method and tools cannot provide trainees with realistic and practical experiences that might help better safety awareness in practice. A metaverse, a real-time network of 3D virtual worlds focused on social connection, was created for more interactive communication, collaboration, and coordination between users. Several previous studies have noted that the metaverse has excellent potential for improved safety education performance, but its required functions and practical applications have not been thoroughly researched. In order to fill the research gap, this paper reviewed the potential benefits of a metaverse based on the current research and suggested its application for safety education purposes. This paper scrutinized the metaverse's key functions, particularly its information and knowledge sharing function and reality capture function. Then, the authors created a metaverse prototype based on the two key functions described above. The main contribution of this paper is reviewing the potential benefits of a metaverse for safety education. A realistic and feasible metaverse platform should be developed in future studies, and its impact on safety education should be quantitatively verified.
Because the 'image' is the 'reality' in this era, there are the characteristics dematerialized between reality and non-reality in the contemporary architecture. These are promoting individualization, differentiation and multi-layered time with the development of electronic technology. This trend emphasizes the importance of imagines that are not only homogenized, simultaneous but also overlapped, multi-layered, discriminatory. Perspectives and essential characteristics of the architectural skin are changing in terms of the technical and social awareness and that means the skin has features as a complex body. Recently as an imagine creator, the architectural skin make form of media boundaries reflecting the various relationships between the observer and the external environment and also, the interior space become another sensory skin by removing the boundaries of the internal and external. It is important that making an identity of the architecture defined by the media or the imagine as well as the importance of space in architecture. These changes of skin make the third space based on the viewer's imagination and show the potential of new architectural skin with the expansion space by blurring the boundary between reality and illusion. It occurs to the diversity of the architectural skin with the identity. It will more diversified and be recognized immediately and sensibly through the interface attributes in contact with the city directly. In addition, it is more important that the skin become a unified body related with urban, social and cultural context.
As the paradigm of science education has been changing from offering scientific knowledge to 'Public Understanding', ways of communication through visual tools in science education has become increasingly important. In this study, I considered 'Pataphor' as a visual tool for scientific communication, and suggested its functions and forms. By studying the notion of pataphor, which was used an overlapped image of virtual reality and reality in literature, in the perspective of contents design, I defined 'Pataphor' as a visual way of deducing or making the metaphysical similarity with the reality based on scientific imagination. Also, I deduced the functions of pataphor as a visual mediacy and suggested its types as "Pataphor of duplicated reality", "Pataphor of reflected reality", "Pataphor of metamorphosed reality", and "Pataphor of artificial reality". Through this study, it was found to be necessary to study in detail the ways to use pataphor depending on contents producing media's and learners' awareness process of contents so there will be a follow-up study on the ways to use pataphor.
This study suggests a variety of ways to prevent narcotic crimes, recurrence of such crimes, rehabilitation, and improve the public awareness of using the narcotics by adopting cultural contents, highlighting how dangerous, harmful and they are easily accessible, as well as the reality in Korea nowadays, where it cannot any longer be seen as a drug-free state. Precedent research, the actual case studies, and interviews followed by the "Musical Mission" explain that anyone can easily become a criminal or family to the criminals, and the adolescent is the age group that experience the most rapid increase in initiating such illicit drugs by using cultural content to help prevent and improve awareness among the public to expose the deadly effect of the substances. More efforts are required to remove the frame of criminals off the active drug users, as they are those who only need to be cared and are the same members of our society after all by demonstrating new ways to change such perspectives. I wish that it will become a social mandatory for those who produce the social contents to urge more support for the drug users through TV advertisements, dramas, movies, documentaries, and musicals etc.
In order to protect Rescue 119 workers exposed on the spot from potential infection, this study identified their awareness and practices of infection control so that it could help preventing them from infection and also provide basic materials necessary for pre-hospital infection control. This study applied questionnaire survey to total 215 Rescue 119 workers at fire stations in Jeonbuk province, Jeonnam province and Gwangju city from July 14 to Sept. 14, 2006 for the benefit of data collection. The questionnaire about possible associations between awareness and practices of infection control consisted of total 46 times across 6 categories such as washing hands during emergency activities ; fluid therapy and injection ; respirator maintenance; individual hygienics ; disinfectant supplies and equipments maintenance ; and control of infectious wastes. And collected data were processed using SPSS statistic program to analyze frequency and percentage, mean and standard deviation, Pearson's correlation coefficient, t-test and one-way ANOVA. As a result, this study came to the following conclusions : In terms of awareness about infection control, our respondents showed highest awareness about infectious waste control, and also showed highest level of practices in washing hands during emergency activities. Throughout all domains, awareness means were higher than practice means. In particular, infectious waste control was the domain of significant differences between awareness and practices. In terms of associations between awareness and individual characteristics, it was found that female rescue worker group and hospital/general hospital career group (before joining the Rescue 119) showed significantly higher awareness on statistic level. In regard to associations between individual characteristics and practices, it was found that female rescue worker group showed higher level of practices than male group on statistic level. This study also analyzed correlations between rescue workers' awareness and practice of infection control. As a result, it was found that the higher awareness was in correlations with the higher practices across all 6 domains including washing hands. In addition, the higher awareness of a questionnaire item was in significantly positive correlations with the higher practice of other items. However, our respondents showed high awareness about anti-infection, but low practices in reality. This indicates necessity of devising possible solutions to improve the practices as much as awareness. Especially, it was noted that major reasons for insufficient practices of infection control guideline come from unhabituated practices and lack of supports for infection-preventing supplies and protective device (mask, etc). Hence, it is necessary to provide more infection-preventing supplies for local rescue workers sufficiently, in parallel with steady habituation of infection control. Furthermore, it is required to manage and study infection control policies even at pre-hospital step in efforts for effective infection control, education and activities.

Technologies that are considered to be a part of the fourth industrial revolution include holograms, augmented reality, and virtual reality. As technology advances, the industry's scale is growing quickly as well. While the development of technology for direct use is moving slowly, awareness of floating holograms-which are considered realistic content-is growing as the industry's scale and rate of technological advancement continue to accelerate. Specifically, holograms that have been incorporated into museums and exhibition spaces are static forms of content that viewers gaze at inertly. Additionally, their use in educational fields is very passive and has a low rate of utilization. Therefore, in order to improve usability from the viewpoint of viewers of realistic content, such as exhibition halls or museums, we introduce realistic content control technology in this study using a machine learning framework to recognize hands. It is anticipated that using the study's findings, manipulating realistic content independently will enhance comprehension of objects presented as realistic content and boost its applicability in the industrial and educational domains.
This study purposed to interpret subjectivity, which centers on the concept of virtuality embedded in the process of virtualizing contextual awareness and mixing the boundary between realities and virtual realities for renewing the feeling of time and space represented by augmented realities in daily spaces, from the viewpoint of traditional media. By explaining how the reflection of reality is exposed focusing on immediacy and hypermediacy from the viewpoint of media remediation, we found that, different from conventional media, augmented reality enables the screen to function as a part of subject and play a role and, by doing so, converts it to the complete subject of digital media comprehending observers and operators.

Every year, lives are lost due to electrical safety accidents that could have been prevented with proper education and awareness of electrical safety. To prevent such accidents, experiential education is more effective than indoctrination education. This paper describes the electrical safety education system based on virtual reality (VR) and evaluates effect of the proposed system. Users operated the experiential electrical safety education system, and they were provided electrical stimulation in an electric shock experience using a haptic device. Appropriate stimulation values were calculated according to age (children vs. adults) and gender through experiment. The scenario in which participants experience electrical safety in the home environment was structured, and related educational contents was produced. A total of 68 healthy elementary students evaluated the educational effect of the system. The results showed that the educational effect and the sustainability of effect of the proposed system are superior to those of existing multimedia learning methods. By implementing electrical safety education stimulating the senses of human, the learning effect was promoted and this experiential education would be able to prevent electrical accidents.
