블록체인을 활용한 ECU 데이터 무결성 검증 시스템 (ECU Data Integrity Verification System Using Blockchain)

  • 자동차의 센서, 신호 등 데이터를 수집·처리하는 ECU 데이터가 공격에 의해 조작되면 운전자에게 피해를 줄 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 블록체인을 이용하여 자동차 ECU 데이터의 무결성을 검증하는 시스템을 제안한다. 자동차와 서버는 세션 키를 이용해 데이터를 암호화하여 송·수신하기 때문에 통신 과정에서 신뢰성을 보장한다. 서버는 해시 함수를 이용해 전송받은 데이터의 무결성을 검증한 후, 데이터에 이상이 없으면 블록체인과 off-chain인 분산저장소에 저장한다. ECU 데이터 해시값은 블록체인에 저장하여 변조할 수 없으며, 원본 ECU 데이터는 분산저장소에 저장한다. 해당 검증 시스템을 이용해 ECU 데이터에 대한 공격 및 변조를 사용자가 검증할 수 있으며, 악의적인 사용자가 ECU 데이터에 접근하여 데이터 변조 시 무결성 검증을 수행할 수 있다. 보험, 자동차 수리, 거래 및 판매 등의 상황에서 사용자의 필요에 따라 사용할 수 있다. 향후 연구로는 실시간 데이터 무결성 검증을 위한 효율적인 시스템 구축이 필요하다.

  • An airborne radar performance can be sensitive to the variation of the Doppler center frequency and the spectral spread of the ground clutter return due to the radar platform moving and aspect angle of the scanning beam to the target. In this paper, for the performance test of the airborne pulsed Doppler radar system developed, the high-speed radar data acquisition system is implemented for acquiring the raw radar signal in real-time. Based on the various test scenarios from airborne-platform to the moving platform, the various radar target and clutter signals are collected and their spectrum is analyzed for the verification of the radar performance in the real-time flight test environments.

Design, Development and Analysis of Embedded Systems for Condition Monitoring of Rotating Machines using FFT Algorithm

  • Rotating machines are an integral part of large electrical power machinery in most of the industries. Any degradation or outages in the rotating electric machinery can result in significant losses in productivity. It is critical to monitor the equipment for any degradation's so that it can serve as an early warning for adequate maintenance activities and repair. Prior research and field studies have indicated that the rotating machines have a particular type of signal structure during the initial start-up transient. A machine performance can be studied based on the effect of degradation in signal parameters. In this paper a data-acquisition system and the FFT algorithm has been design and model using the MATLAB and Simulink. The implementation had been carried out on the TMS320 DSP Processor and various testing and verification of the machine performance had been carried out. The results show good agreement with expected results for both simulated and real-time data. The real-time data from AC water pumps which have rotating motors built-in were collected and analysed. The FFT algorithm provides frequency response and based on this frequency response performance of the machine had been measured.The FFT algorithm provides only approximation about the machine performances.

  • We present an implementation and it's real-sea test of an underwater acoustic communication system, which allows the system to reduce complexity and increase robustness in time variant underwater environments. For easy adaptation to complicated and time-varying environments of the ocean, all-digital transmitter and receiver systems were implemented. For frame synchronization the CAZAC sequence was used, and QPSK modulation/demodulation method with carrier frequency of 25kHz and a bandwidth of 5kHz were applied to generate 10kbps transmission rate including overhead. To improve transmission quality, we used several techniques and algorithms such as adaptive beamforming, adaptive equalizer, and convolution coding/Viterbi decoding. For the verification of the system performance, measurement of BER has been done in a very shallow water with depth of 20m at JangMok, Geoje. During the experiment, image data were successfully transmitted up to about 9.6km.

다중센서 기반의 하이브리드 조명제어 시스템 (The Hybrid Lighting Control System on Multiple Sensor)

  • 본 논문에서는 다중센서 기반의 하이브리드 조명제어 시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 하이브리드 조명제어 시스템은 가로등의 관리 및 제어를 위한 데이터 표시부와 데이터 변환 및 처리부, 게이트웨이의 통신부로 구성하여 설계한다. 데이터는 실시간으로 저장이 가능하도록 DB를 설계하고, 실시간으로 무선 원격제어 및 스케줄을 설정하여 모니터링 할 수 있도록 구현한다. 제안된 하이브리드 조명제어 시스템의 효율성 검증결과, 스마트 기기 및 포터블 PC 등과 연동하여 실시간 모니터링 및 원격 조명제어가 가능하였고, 결과적으로 에너지 절감 및 전기료 감소, 통신비용 감소 효과를 얻을 수 있었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 실시간 데이터 압축을 위한 Lempel-Ziv 압축기의 효과적인 하드웨어 구조를 제안한다. 일반적으로 Lempel-Ziv 알고리즘의 구현에서는 matching 바이트 탐색과 dictionary 버퍼의 누적된 shift 동작이 처리 속도에 가장 중요한 문제이다. 제안하는 구조에서는 dictionary 크기를 최적화하는 방법과 복수개의 바이트를 동시에 비교하는 matching 바이트 처리 방법, 그리고 회전 FIEO 구조를 이용하여 shift 동작 제어 방법을 이용함으로써 효과적인 Lempel-Ziv 알고리즘의 처리 구조를 제안하였다. 제안된 구조는 상용 DSP를 사용하여 하드웨어적으로 정확하게 동작함을 검증하였으며, VHDL로 기술한 후 회로 합성을 수행하여 상용 FPGA 칩에 구현하였다. 제안된 구조는 시스템 클락 33㎒, 비트율 256Kbps 전용선에서 오류 없이 동작함을 확인하였다.

Development of a Real-time Grouping System of Rice Crop Canopy Chlorophyll Contents

  • This study was carried out to develop a real-time grouping system of chlorophyll contents of rice crop canopy for precision agriculture. The system measured reflected light energy of a rice canopy on a paddy field from visual to near-infrared range and analyzed the collected information of chlorophyll contents of rice crop canopy with given position data. The four filters, 560 nm $({\pm}10nm)$, 650 nm $({\pm}25nm)$, 700 nm $({\pm}12nm)$, and 850 nm $({\pm}40nm)$, were used for a multiple regression to estimate the chlorophyll contents of rice crop canopy. Every $0.2m^2$ area of the open field was inspected at a distance of 1 m above the rice canopy. According to the results of verification test, the chlorophyll content grouping by a commerical chlorophyll meter (SPAD) and by the developed system showed 58.7% match for five-stage chlorophyll contents of rice crop canopy grouping and 93.5% for the $five{\pm}1-stage$ grouping. In addition, the results showed 63.0% match for three-stage grouping and 100.0% for the $three{\pm}1-stage$ grouping.

  • Home security has become the prime concern for everyone in present scenario. In this work an attempt has been made to develop a home security system which is accessible, affordable and yet effective.The proposed system is based on 'Remote Embedded Control System' (RECS) which works both on the web and gsm platform for authentication and monitoring. This system is therefore cost effective as it relies on existing network infrastructure. As PCA is most popular and efficient algorithm for face recognition, it has been usedin this work. Next to it an interface has been developed for communication purpose in the embedded security system through the ZigBee module. Based on this embedded system, automated control of door movement has been implemented through electromagnetic door lock technology. This helps the users to monitor the real-time activities through web services/SMS. The web service consists of either web browser command or e-mail provision. The system establishes the communication between the system and authenticated user. The e-mail received by the system from the authorized person will monitor and control the real-time operation and door lock. The entire control system is reinforced using ARM1176JZF-S microcontroller and tested for actual use in the home environment. The result shows the experimental verification of the proposed system.

  • 근거리 무선통신 기술은 다양한 분야에서 그 응용범위가 점차 확대되고 있는 추세로, 다양한 종류의 기술 중에서 Mobile기반의 NFC(Near Field Communication)의 적용이 늘어나고 있다. URL 주소가 저장되어 있는 태그(RFID)에서 NFC 디바이스를 터치하면, URL 주소를 읽고 그 주소의 웹사이트에 접근을 지원하는 방식을 무인경비시스템에 적용하였다. 기존의 무인경비시스템과의 비교검증을 통하여 Integrity, Damage, Real-Time, Speed 측면에서 효율적인 출동경비업무 관리방안을 제시하였다.

  • This paper deals with the design and implementation of a TCSC (Thyristor Controlled Series Capacitor) simulator, which is a module for an analog type power system simulator. Principally, it presents configuration of controller hardware/software and its experimental results. An analog type power system simulator consists of numerous power system components, such as various types of generator models, scale-downed transmission line modules, transformer models, switches and FACTS (Flexible AC Transmission System) devices. It has been utilized for the verification of the control algorithm and the study of system characteristics analysis. This TCSC simulator is designed for 50% line compensation rate and considered for damping resister characteristic analysis. Its power rate is three phase 380V 20kVA. For hardware extendibility, its controller is designed with VMEBUS and its main CPU is TMS320C32 DSP (Digital Signal Processor). For real time control and communications, its controller is applied to the RTOS (Real Time Operation System) for multi-tasking. This RTOS is uC/OS-II. The experimental results of capacitive mode and inductive mode operations verify the fundamental operations of the TCSC.
