차량 탑재형 모바일 디지털 사이니지 구현 (Implementation of Mobile Digital Signage System on the Moving Vehicle)

  • We propose a vehicle-mounted, location-aware mobile digital signage system that can be used for public transportation through mobile communication. This paper proposes the installations of the LED display panels at the backside of the bus., which display traffic information to cars behind the bus. Information to be displayed would include, but is not limited to, road information, public commercials and private commercials. We propose the system architecture and further implement the prototype of mobile digital signage system for demonstration. The system is based on the Client-Server system. Each bus has a client terminal which detects the current location by a GPS receiver and sends its location information to the server using mobile communication function. The terminal device receives advertisements and traffic information from the server and displays it to the large LCD or LED panel installed at the inside and outside of the bus. We use the Android smartphone as a client system, which inherently equipped with GPS and mobile communication function. GPS detects the location of bus and reports its geo-location data to the traffic information center server via a wireless communication network. On the server side, we developed a specially designed control server, where it communicates with the other traffic information center and updates and manages the databases contents being displayed by each position. The server contains location dependent variable information and returns selected information back to the vehicle in real time. Spatial database is used to process location based data. Server system periodically receives the real time traffic information from the road information center database. And it process the information by bus location and bus line number. In this paper, we propose a mobile digital signage service and explain the system implementation of this service.

  • 블록체인은 네트워크상에서 기록된 데이터들이 하나의 블록 단위로 수집되어 저장되며 앞뒤로 연결되어 저장되도록 고안되었고, 그 형태가 블록들이 연결되어있는 모습과 비슷하므로 블록체인이라 불리게 되었다. 많은 기업이 국내외적으로 블록체인 기반 서비스를 대중화하기 위해 노력하고 있으며, 다양한 산업에서 블록체인이 활용되고 있다. 본 연구는 블록체인의 기술적 특징을 소개하고 블록체인을 활용한 응용 서비스들을 다룬다. 블록체인의 아키텍처와 핵심기술 5가지를 소개하고 결제서비스와 블록체인 서비스 네트워크, 블록체인 부동산 플랫폼, 신원확인, 암호화폐, 다이아몬드 유통경로 추적, 블로그 정보 기록에서 활용되고 있는 블록체인 응용 서비스들을 소개하고자 한다. 블록체인의 이해를 높이고 향후 블록체인 연구 및 서비스 개발에 유용성을 제공할 것으로 기대된다.

Performance Analysis of an ATM MUX with a New Space Priority Mechanism under ON-OFF Arrival Processes

  • We propose a new space priority mechanism, and analyze its performance in a single Constant Bit Rate (CBR) server. The arrival process is derived from the superposition of two types of traffics, each in turn results from the superposition of homogeneous ON-OFF sources that can be approximated by means of a two-state Markov Modulated Poisson Process (MMPP). The buffer mechanism enables the Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) layer to adapt the quality of the cell transfer to the Quality of Service (QoS) requirements and to improve the utilization of network resources. This is achieved by "Selective-Delaying and Pushing-ln"(SDPI) cells according to the class they belong to. The scheme is applicable to schedule delay-tolerant non-real time traffic and delay-sensitive real time traffic. Analytical expressions for various performance parameters and numerical results are obtained. Simulation results in term of cell loss probability conform with our numerical analysis.

규칙 및 사례기반의 하이브리드 고장진단 시스템 (A Hybrid Malfunction Diagnostic System using Rules and Cases)

  • Customer service process is one of the most important processes in today's competitive business environment. Among the various activities of customer service process, equipment malfunction diagnosis activity should be performed fast and accurately. When a customer calls the service center and reports the observed symptoms, he/she describes them in layman's terms. Therefore, the customer-reported symptoms have not been considered helpful information for service representatives. However, in order to perform diagnosis activity fast and accurately, we need to make use of the customer-reported symptoms actively. In this research, we developed three systems called R-EMD (Rule-based Equipment Malfunction Diagnostic system), C-EMD (Case-based Equipment Malfunction Diagnostic system) and R&C-EMD (Rule & Case-based Equipment Malfunction Diagnostic system), each of which diagnoses equipment malfunctions using the customer-reported symptoms. R&C-EMD is a hybrid system that utilizes both rule-based and case-based technologies. The diagnosis rules used in R&C-EMD and R-EMD were not acquired from service manuals or interviews with service representatives. Rater, we extracted them directly from the past diagnosis cases based on symptoms' frequencies. By this way, we were able to overcome the knowledge acquisition bottleneck. Using the real 100 malfunction diagnosis cases, we evaluated the performances of R&C-EMC, R-EMD and C-EMD in terms of speed and accuracy. In diagnosis time, R&C-EMD took longer than R-EMD and shorter than C-EMD. However, R&C-EMC was the best in accuracy.

Real-time condition assessment of railway tunnel deformation using an FBG-based monitoring system

  • A tunnel deformation monitoring system is developed with the use of fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensing technique, aiming at providing continuous monitoring of railway tunnel deformation in the long term, and early warning for the rail service maintainers and authorities to avoid catastrophic consequences when significant deformation occurs. Specifically, a set of FBG bending gauges with the ability of angle measurement and temperature compensation is designed and manufactured for the purpose of online monitoring of tunnel deformation. An overall profile of lateral tunnel displacement along the longitudinal direction can be obtained by implementing an array of the FBG bending gauges interconnected by rigid rods, in conjunction with a proper algorithm. The devised system is verified in laboratory experiments with a test setup enabling to imitate various patterns of tunnel deformation before the implementation of this system in an in-service high-speed railway (HSR) tunnel.

Real-World Impact of Modern Reperfusion Therapy for Acute Ischemic Stroke : A Nationwide Population-Based Data Study in Korea

  • Objective : The treatment paradigm for acute ischemic stroke has undergone several major changes in the past decade, contributing to improved patient prognosis in clinical practice. However, the extent to which these changes have affected patient prognosis in the real-world is yet to be clarified. This study aimed to evaluate the real-world impact of modern reperfusion therapy for acute ischemic stroke using data from the National Health Insurance Service in Korea. Methods : This study included patients aged 18-80 years who were admitted via the emergency room with an I63 code between 2011 and 2020. The rates of intravenous thrombolysis use and endovascular treatment according to the year of admission were investigated. Furthermore, the rates of decompressive craniectomy and 3-month mortality were also analyzed. The 10-year observational period was divided into three periods based on the 2015 guideline change as follows : prior, 2011-2014; transitional, 2015-2016; and modern, 2017-2020. Results : A total of 307117 patients (mean age, 65.7±10.9 years) were included, and most patients were male (59.7%). The rate of endovascular treatment gradually increased during the study period from 0.71% in the prior period to 1.32% in the transitional period and finally to 1.85% in the modern period. Meanwhile, the 3-month mortality rate gradually decreased from 4.78% in the prior period to 4.03% in the transitional period and to 3.71% in the modern period. Conclusion : In Korea, the mortality rate decreased as the rate of modern reperfusion therapy increased in patients with acute ischemic stroke. Overall, technical and scientific advances in reperfusion therapy have improved the outcome of patients with acute ischemic stroke in Korea.

WISE 복합기상센서 관측 자료 품질관리시스템 (The WISE Quality Control System for Integrated Meteorological Sensor Data)

  • A real-time quality control system for meteorological data (air temperature, air pressure, relative humidity, wind speed, wind direction, and precipitation) measured by an integrated meteorological sensor has been developed based on comparison of quality control procedures for meteorological data that were developed by the World Meteorological Organization and the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA), using time series and statistical analysis of a 12-year meteorological data set observed from 2000 to 2011 at the Incheon site in Korea. The quality control system includes missing value, physical limit, step, internal consistency, persistence, and climate range tests. Flags indicating good, doubtful, erroneous, not checked, or missing values were added to the raw data after the quality control procedure. The climate range test was applied to the monthly data for air temperature and pressure, and its threshold values were modified from ${\pm}2{\sigma}$ and ${\pm}3{\sigma}$ to ${\pm}3{\sigma}$ and ${\pm}6{\sigma}$, respectively, in order to consider extreme phenomena such as heat waves and typhoons. In addition, the threshold values of the step test for air temperature, air pressure, relative humidity, and wind speed were modified to $0.7^{\circ}C$, 0.4 hPa, 5.9%, and $4.6m\;s^{-1}$, respectively, through standard deviation analysis of step difference according to their averaging period. The modified quality control system was applied to the meteorological data observed by the Weather Information Service Engine in March 2014 and exhibited improved performance compared to the KMA procedures.

한국형 e-Navigation 대용량 데이터 처리 플랫폼의 운용성 증대를 위한 실시간 원격진단시스템의 개발 (Development on Real Time Diagnosis System for Enhancing Operability of e-Navigation Data Service Platform)

  • 본 개발은 2016년부터 착수한 한국형 e-Navigation 사업 중 한화시스템의 대용량 데이터 처리 플랫폼(Data Service Platform, 이하 DSP)의 현장 운용성을 증대시키기 위해 실시간 및 원격으로 DSP 상태를 진단하는 시스템이다. 항해 중인 선박이 DSP에 요청하는 다양한 서비스에 즉시 응답을 하기 위해서는 DSP의 논리적, 물리적 오류 발생 시 이를 즉각 발견하고 신속히 조치하여 MTTR을 최소화함으로써 DSP의 현장 운용성을 극대화하는 것이 필요하다. 따라서 DSP의 자원 및 동작 상태를 실시간으로 감시하여 운용자에게 즉시 피드백하고 DSP의 정상상태를 유지하도록 하는 기능을 구현함으로써 DSP의 비약적인 MTTR의 감소 및 선박 서비스의 제공 성공률 향상을 가져올 수 있게 하였다.

우리나라 지역약국 약료서비스의 접근성 현황 (Accessibility of Community Pharmacy-Based Pharmaceutical Care Service in Korea)

  • Objective: Objective of this study was to investigate community pharmacy-based pharmaceutical care accessibility in Korea. Survey on the current pharmaceutical care service provision was performed by PM2000 XE, a real-time pharmacy manager program, operated by Korea Pharmaceutical Information Center beginning November 4, 2013 until December 6, 2013 towards all community pharmacies throughout the nation which use the program. Method: The survey questionnaire consisted of four sections: pharmacy type, time-based accessibility, item-based accessibility, and spatial accessibility for non-prescription drugs. Results: Number of pharmacy responded to the survey was 331, and size of the responding pharmacy was mostly medium-scale (66.47%) with 30-99 prescription fillings a day. Proportion of pharmacy with opening hour of 12 hours or longer was only 53.77% and it was less than 25% during saturdays and holidays. Item-based accessibility was generally acceptable for prescription and non-prescription drugs, medical devices, and health supplements. However, spatial accessibility for non-prescription drugs was problematic because only one quarter of the drugs was displayed over the counter, and most of the drugs were behind the counter so that customers could not reach out. Conclusion: Based on the survey result, current situation for accessibility of pharmaceutical care service in Korea is concluded inadequate and therefore needs multidimensional efforts to improve accessibility of the service at national level such as Korea Pharmaceutical Association and Ministry of Health and Welfare.

교통정보 안내전화 통합연계시스템 구축에 관한 연구 (A Study of Systematic Implementations for the Integrated ITS call center)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 개별 제공하고 있는 안내전화서비스를 대표번호체계로 통합연계운영하고, 도로교통 정보외에 철도, 항공 버스 등의 대체교통수단 정보 및 관련기관과의 유기적 연계를 통한 원스톱(One stop) 서비스를 제공하는 안내전화서비스의 통합연계운영을 서비스를 제시하는데 있다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여 국내 외 현황을 분석하고, 시범구축, 확대구축, 안정화 및 고급화의 3단계에 따라 운영기술과 통합시스템 기술사양을 검토하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 교통정보 안내전화는 정보취득의 원스톱(One stop) 서비스, 이용 편의성 서비스, 다양한 연계정보제공 서비스, 제공정보의 실시간화 및 효율적인 체계를 구현할 것으로 기대한다.
