A Grey MCDM Based on DEMATEL Model for Real Estate Evaluation and Selection Problems: A Numerical Example

  • Real estate markets play an essential role in the economic development of both developed and developing countries. Investment decisions in private real estate demand the consideration of several qualitative and quantitative criteria. Especially in Vietnam, demand for housing, apartments are rising which has resulted because of the migration from rural to urban areas. This study aims to determine the influencing factors of the real estate purchasing behavior and then recommend a grey Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) support model to evaluate real estate alternatives based on a numerical example in Vietnam. A set of essential criteria are identified based on experts' opinion, and the proposed determinants are initial investment, maintenance cost, prestige location, distance to interesting places, parking lot, public transportation, property condition, total area size, number of rooms, and neighbors. The subjective weights were obtained by using the Decision-Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) model, and the Grey Relational Analysis (GRA) technique is employed to prioritize and rank real estate alternatives. The results reveal that this approach can be useful to make purchasing decisions for many kinds of real estate property under uncertain business environments. These findings indicate that the presented hybrid model has advantages in granting flexibility to the preferences of decision makers.

A Study on Crack Fault Diagnosis of Wind Turbine Simulation System (풍력발전기 모사 시스템에서의 균열 결함 진단에 대한 연구)

  • An experimental gear-box was set-up to simulate the real situation of the wind-turbine. Artificial cracks of different sizes were machined into the gear. Vibration signals were acquired to diagnose the different crack fault conditions. Time-domain features such as root mean square, variance, kurtosis, normalized 6th central moments were used to capture the characteristics of different crack conditions. Normal condition, 1 mm crack condition, 2mm crack condition, 6mm crack condition, and tooth fault condition were compared using ANFIS and DAG-SVM methods, and three different DAG-SVM models were compared. High-pass filtering improved the success rates remarkably in the case of DAG-SVM.

  • Traction performance of off-road vehicles is estimated using slip-traction relationships Two zero condition accepted by ASAE have been used widely to obtain the slip-traction relationships of off-road vehicles. This study was carried out using the soil bin systems to investigate the characteristic of slip-traction curves obtained using two zero conditions defined by ASAE. which are driving and driven zero condition, and to present disadvantage of slip-traction relationship based on two zero conditions of ASAE. The results of this study are summarized as follows : 1. For the driving zero condition, the curve of slip-traction relationship shows some issues. The first question is that the slip is zero when the traction is zero. The second question is that the value of slip is smaller than that of corresponding real slip, as the rolling radius decreased f3r the setting zero condition with driving wheel. 2. For the driven zero condition. slip occurs when the traction is zero, which is more realistic results than driving zero condition. But when a zero condition is set, skid occurs and this result increased the rolling radius of tire and increased slip value f3r the specific traction value of whole slip range. This kind of trend was getting bigger as the soil is softer, or the tire inflation pressure is higher. 3. From the results of this study, it was found that slip-traction relationship obtained by two zero conditions of ASAE is not realistic in estimating the traction performance of off-road vehicles. And also slip-traction relationship obtained for the same experimental condition showed different result in accordance with chosen zero condition,

  • Residual stress caused in the weldments with high restraint force are often during welding observed in the weldments of large size nozzles or radial tanks. The reason is that quantitative analysis about thermal stresses during welding is lack for this weldments. To verify FEM theory, the temperature was measured with thermocouple in a real time in this paper. Also analysis of the thermal stress for welding condition is performed by ABAQUS program package on various welding condition in STS butt welding.

  • Numerical study was conducted to simulate the heat transfer on the real launch vehicle base. Three different base temperatures were chosen, to simulate the heat accumulation on the base. Moreover, six different pressure ratio conditions were used to express the different air conditions. As a result, the table that can used to estimate the base heat fox along the base temperature and pressure condition was made.

  • This paper considered the energy saving problem of D.C. motor in arbitrary load condition. We can improve efficiency by maintaining the proper ratio of armature current/field current. First, the condition of maximizing the efficiency was obtained, and then the real time control was implemented by using microprocessors. As a result, the efficiency was improved in spite of constant output. For example, the efficiency at 1/5 load was improved from 56.7% to 80%.

  • In the present paper, we study a non-degenrate ruled surface along a null curve in a 3-dimensional Minkowski space E31, which is called a null scroll, an investigate some characterizations of null scrolls satisfying the condition H=AH, A Mat(3, ), where denotes the Laplacian of the surface with respect to the induced metric, H the mean curvature vector and Mat(3, ) the set of 3$\times$3-real matrices.

  • This study intend to make easy modification, even if there is a new job or structure change, by modularizing program and computerize and automation of production control management used in CIM. under the condition where manager control production on the job-site, for increasing connection with other operation and management on the computer by monitoring center computer, recognizing information by computer is needed, it is possible by converting transaction. So this study goal is to make delivery control and order control fast and accurate by finding dynamic history of machine and production information in enterprise without input production and quality information by themselves with quality information system. So production increase and quality improvement are possible by diminishing manager's and producer's work with the result of the study combining POP and CIM, after that, in e-business and m-business period that every enterprise must pass, customer satisfaction and sales promotion are possible with employee's computerizing minds. these study result also can knowledge process condition with theoretical class and have a power in finding a solution with foundation of theoretical knowledge.

  • The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between observed traffic data and NOx concentrations from not an ideal condition but a real road in real-time. Also we aim to develop an estimation model for NOx emission concentrations due to vehicle exhaust gas, and it can be applied to monitor the degree of air pollution on National Road in real-time. To eliminate outliers which are occurred due to errors of equipments and other variables, we use the robust analysis and develop two models. which are considering and not considering wind impact. The result of this research can be used for understanding present condition of air pollution caused by vehicle exhaust gas and evaluating for environmental effects of transportation policy.

  • Since real-time monitoring systems, such as early fault detection, have been very important, an infrared thermography technique was proposed as a new diagnosis method. This study focused on damage detection and temperature characteristic analysis of ball bearings using the non-destructive, infrared thermography method. In this paper, for the reliability assessment, infrared experimental data were compared with finite element analysis (FEA) results from ANSYS. In this investigation, the temperature characteristics of ball bearing were analyzed under various loading conditions. Finally, it was confirmed that the infrared thermography technique was useful for the real-time detection of damage to bearings.
