Purpose : This study is to understand the reactive oxygen which is expected to be a causative factor of aging condition including dementia, atherosclerosis, even cancer. Methods : The reactive oxygen is generated usually when people do very hard exercise or is under severe stressful situation or in unhealthy environment and as a protective reaction to reactive oxygen, human body releases antioxidant enzyme systems like superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase, glutathione peroxidase (GPX), glutathion-S-transferase (GST) and non-enzymetic antioxidant systems like glutathione, ascorbate, $\beta$-carotene, vitimin E. Results : Nowadays, we are getting more interested in the generation of reactive oxygen especially in the area of physical education, food and nutrition, alternative medicine etc. Conclusion : The study of reactive oxygen in patients with musculoskeletal disease is also required and among various physical therapeutic approaches, the method of general coordinative manipulation is considered more necessary.
Following the prior studs regarding that 1.0g of cotton fabric cound be dyed uniformly with a reactive dye in the solvent mixture of 2㎖ of water and 23㎖ of dichloromethane, silk fabric was dyed with C. I. Reactive Blue 203 in the water/dichloromethane two-phase immiscible solvent media. In order to minimize dye loss due to its hydrolysis, the reactive dyeing was carried out in dichloromethane containing a small amount of water. With only 3㎖ of water in 22㎖ of dichloromethane, 1.0g of silk fabric could be dyed perfectly. The uptake ratio was increased greatly, compared with that of normal reactive dyeing in a water medium. It would seem that the one of hydrophobic solvents, dichloromethane, can assist the even dyeing as it disperses a small amount of dye-dissolved water phase and conveys this water phase to the fabric entirely and uniformly.

The antibiotic reactive dye was synthesized by coupling of reactive chromagen with diazotised silver sulfadiazine for an antibiotic property. The highly reactive MCT(monochlorotriazine) and DCT (dichlorotriazine) type functional groups which have heterocyclic ring and moderately reactive VS-type dye that has good dyeability were used for reactivity. The synthesized antibiotic reactive dye is expected to impart the antibiotic function with high durability on cotton fabric only by one-step dyeing process without further finishing treatment. The synthesis of antibiotic dye was easily proceeded thorough diazotisation of silver sulfadiazine and coupling with suitable chromogen. The dyeability of synthesized dye for cotton fabrics was excellent and the dyed fabrics showed good level of lightfastness, resistance to washing and rubbing. The antibiotic tests revealed that the dyed cotton fabrics with the synthesized dye had very good antibiotic properties.
As electric power systems have been moving from vertically integrated utilities to a deregulated environment, the charging of reactive power management is a new challenging theme for market operators. This paper proposes a new methodology to compute the costs of providing reactive power management service in a competitive electrical power market. The proposed formulation, which is basically different from those shown in the literature, consists of two parts. One is to recover investment capital costs of reactive power supporting equipment based on a reactive power flow tracing algorithm. The other is to recover operational costs based on variable spot prices using the optimal power flow algorithm. The charging shapes resulted from the proposed approach exhibit a quite good meaning viewed from a practical sense. It turns out that reactive power charges are mostly due to recovery of capital costs and slightly due to recovery of operational costs. The method can be useful in providing additional insight into power system operation and can be used to determine tariffs of a reactive power management service.
This paper presents practical applications of reactive power and voltage planning to obtain voltage stability and operational voltage level for 2005 year summer peak Korea power system. It also describes the new electric facilities, operation criteria, voltage levels, MVAr flows, reactive power reserves in each control area. And reactive compensation devices are installed to maintain established voltage levels and stability margins. This simulation results show the improvement of voltage levels and the increase of reactive margins & interface flow margins. Finally, the paper reports the necessity of dynamic reactive reserves. It can be applied to analysis reactive compensation requirements and P-V & V-Q curves by PSS/E & VSAT.
The purpose of this paper is to investigate purification characteristic of soil-bentonite landfill liner and to develop of desirable liner system. In this study, column tests for soil-bentonite, reactive soil-bentonite and existing bentomat and reactive bentomat were carried out under the high pressure with water and leachate.
Although fibre reactive dyes for wool were developed before those for cellulosic fibres, there are still limited ranges of fibre reactive dyes available for wool compared to those for cellulosic fbres. Since Fujioka and Abeta introduced the first mixed bifunctional reactive system in the early 1980s for cellulosic fibres, there has been some works on cotton and on silk. (omitted)

The remediation for contaminated soil and groundwater in contaminated site and waste site has to be compact and economic in maintaining and operating the system. In this study, the atomized slag was tested if they are an effective reactive material in permeable reactive barrier This novel reactive system technology was applied to the treatment of leachate from unplanned waste landfill. The system was optimized and developed to be commercialized.
Nonlinear feedback control scheme for reactive distillation column has been proposed. The proposed control scheme is derived in the framework of Nonlinear Internal Model Control. The product compositions and liquid and vapor flow rates in sections of the reactive distillation column are estimated from selected tray temperature measurements by an observer. The control scheme is applied to example reactive distillation column in which two products are produced in a single column and the reversible reaction A + B = C + D occurs. The relative volatilities are favorable for reactive distillation so that the reactants are intermediated boilers between the light product C and the heavy product D. Ideal physical properties, kinetics and ...
