콘크리트 파괴역학을 이용한 철근콘크리트 인장부재의 균열성장 해석 (Cracking Analysis of Reinforced Concrete Tension Members with Concrete Fracture Mechanics)

  • A fracture energy concept proposed by Ouyang and Shah's fracture mechanics approach was used to predict cracking of reinforced concrete members subjected to tension. In this approach, fracture properties in plain concrete which incorporate the presence of the fracture process zone are first determined from the generalized size effect method, then fracture energy required for crack propagation with the same dimension and material properties are evaluated using an R-curve. Subsequently taking into account the material properties in Ouyang and Shah's approach, a theoretical analysis to predict the mechanical behavior of reinforced concrete members subjected to tension was performed and compared to observed experimental results. It is seen that the predicted average crack spacing curves agree well with the experimental results, whereas the analytical method seems to predict lower values for this study. The analytical approach predicts well responses of stress-strain curves before and after the first crack is formed. It is concluded from this study that a fracture energy concept based on the R-curve and the generalized size effect method is a rational approach to predict cracking of reinforced concrete members subjected to tension.

Estimation of mortality coefficients and survivorship curves for minke whales (Balaenoptera acutorostrata) in Korean waters

  • Population ecological characteristics of growth and mortality play an important role in understanding the population dynamics of marine mammals. The instantaneous coefficients of natural and bycatch mortality were estimated for minke whales (Balaenoptera acutorostrata) in Korean waters using a population assessment model composed of bycatch and abundance data. The survivorship curve of this population was fitted to the data, and then the curve was revised using age-specific relative bycatchability coefficients ($q_t$). Instantaneous coefficients of natural and bycatch mortality of minke whales were estimated as 0.024/year and 0.076/year, respectively, and from this the survival rate was estimated as 0.905. This estimated survival rate was comparable to other cetaceans in other regions. The $q_t$ for this population ranged from 0.020 to 0.193. The revised survival rates were higher when the $q_t$ was taken into account. The mortality coefficient, survival rate, $q_t$ and survivorship curves had not previously been determined for minke whale in this area. This estimate could serve as fundamental information to assess the status of this population and for conservation and rational management.

As result of the experimellt planning and making the model test, it has gained the necessary data at the amendment, projection of the most rational and economical result. 1. It was regarded as the phenomena appearing the difference from the calculation of the rational formular and coefficient of discharge. 3. 넙스(NURBS) 곡선 모델링을 이용한 발사체 음향하중 예측에 대한 연구 (A Study on Prediction of Acoustic Loads of Launch Vehicle Using NURBS Curve Modeling)

  • 발사체 발사 시 제트화염에 의해 발생하는 강력한 음향파는 음향하중의 형태로 비행체를 가진한다. 대표적인 경험적 음향하중 예측기법인 DSM-II(Distributed Source Method-II)는 제트화염 축을 따라 소음원을 배치하는 방법으로 계산비용 및 정확성 측면에서 장점을 갖는다. 하지만 소음원 배치 방법의 한계로 인해 다양한 발사대 환경을 정확하게 반영하기에는 한계가 있다. 본 연구에서는 넙스(Non-Uniform Rational B-Spline, NURBS) 곡선 모델링을 경험적 예측기법에 도입하여 자유롭게 소음원을 배치할 수 있는 음향하중 예측기법에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 넙스 기법이 새롭게 도입된 해석기법의 검증을 위하여 Epsilon 로켓의 곡선형 저소음 발사대 형상에 대한 음향하중 예측을 수행하였고 해석 결과를 기존의 예측방법 및 실험 결과와 비교하였다.

  • 최근 생애주기비용 분석이 사회기반 시설물 경제성 평가 분야의 필수적 방법으로 대두됨에 따라 체계적이고 합리적인 방법으로 각 시설물의 생애주기비용을 산정하기 위한 노력이 진행되고 있다. 합리적인 생애주기비용 분석을 위해서는 초기비용 뿐만 아니라 유지관리 비용의 예측이 필요하나 국내에서는 고속철도 구간에 강교량을 가설한지 얼마 되지 않았기 때문에 이에 대한 유지관리 특성 등을 파악하고 있지 못한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 고속철도 소수주형교의 계측데이터와 Rahgozar 등이 제안한 부식열화를 고려한 피로강도감소계수 및 Miner 손상누적법칙을 이용하여 강교량의 주된 열화의 요인이 되는 부식과 피로의 손상을 고려한 체계신뢰성해석을 실시하였다. 이 체계신뢰성 해석결과를 바탕으로 고속철도 소수주형교의 설계단계 생애주기비용 분석 모델을 제안하였다.

정확하고 효율적인 인체 FDTD 분산 모델링 (Dispersive FDTD Modeling of Human Body with High Accuracy and Efficiency)

  • 본 논문에서는 인체의 전자파 해석을 위해 유한 차분 시간 영역법(FDTD: Finite-Difference Time-Domain)에 적합한 분산 모델링을 제안한다. 주파수에 따라 전기적 특성이 변하는 인체의 분산 특성을 정확하고 효율적으로 모델링을 하기 위해 상대 유전율을 2차 복소수 분수 함수식(QCRF: Quadratic Complex Rational Function)으로 표현하였다. WLSM(Weight Least Square Method) 기반의 복소수 커브 피팅법을 적용하여 인체 조직에 대한 QCRF 계수들을 추출하였으며, QCRF 분산 모델을 FDTD에 적용하는 방법을 논의하였다. 본 논문에서 제안한 QCRF 기반의 인체 분산 모델이 Gabriel의 측정 데이터와 일치하며, FDTD 적용시 Cole-Cole 분산 모델보다 계산 효율이 뛰어남을 확인하였다. 단일 주파수와 광대역 주파수 신호를 입력원으로 한 모의 실험을 통하여 QCRF 기반의 FDTD 분산 알고리즘의 검증 및 분석을 마무리하였다.

  • 단목(單木) 또는 임분(林分)의 생장파악 및 예측을 위해서는 수간형태(樹幹形態)의 파악이 선행되어야 한다. 또한 임분의 생장을 동적(動的)으로 파악하기 위해서는 수간형태(樹幹形態)를 수식화(數式化)할 필요가 있다. 그러나 수간(樹幹)은 전체적으로는 원추형(圓錐型)에 가깝지만 그 가늘어지는 정도가 부분적으로 다르기 때문에 하나의 식(式)으로 표현하기엔 어려움이 있으므로, 부분적으로 상이한 계수를 갖는 구간추정식(區間推定式)으로 표현하는 것이 이상적이다. 본 논문에서는 spline함수로부터 유도된 단목간곡선의 집합으로부터, 선형관계식을 이용하여 임분간곡선(林分幹曲線)을 수식화하는 방법을 소개하였다. 이와 같이 수간형태(樹幹形態)를 수식화(數式化) 한 단목 및 임분의 간곡선식(幹曲線式)은 임분(林分)의 발달과정을 동적(動的)으로 파악할 수 있게 하여 임분생장연구의 다양성 및 합리적 산림계획모델의 기초를 제공한다.

도심지 소유역에 적용 가능한 우수저류조의 용량 산정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Calculation of Storage Volume of Storm-Water Detention Basins for Small Urban Catchments)

  • This work is for examining a simplified equation based on the rational formula, which can easily decide storm-water detention volume in small urban catchments. The storm-water detention volume is determined by the inflow hydrograph flowing to detention basin and the outflow hydrograph discharged from the detention basin. The ratio of average outflow over the period of rainfall duration against allowable discharge was 0.5 in former simplified equation. But this research has found that the average outflow ratio depends on the storage methodology. In the case of the on-line storage method, the average outflow ratio is a function of the time of concentration of the catchments and rainfall duration, which ranged from 0.5~1.0. In the case of the off-line storage method, the average ratio is a function of peak discharge and allowable discharge except above time of concentration and rainfall duration, where its function value ranged from 1.0~2.0. When applying this equation to small catchment in Mokpo city, South Korea, we could easily calculate the relation curve between the storm-water detention volume and allowable discharge.

Formulation of a rational dosage regimen of ceftiofur hydrochloride oily suspension by pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic (PK-PD) model for treatment of swine Streptococcus suis infection

  • Background: Our previously prepared ceftiofur (CEF) hydrochloride oily suspension shows potential wide applications for controlling swine Streptococcus suis infections, while the irrational dose has not been formulated. Objectives: The rational dose regimens of CEF oily suspension against S. suis were systematically studied using a pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic model method. Methods: The healthy and infected pigs were intramuscularly administered CEF hydrochloride oily suspension at a single dose of 5 mg/kg, and then the plasma and pulmonary epithelial lining fluid (PELF) were collected at different times. The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC), minimal bactericidal concentration, mutant prevention concentration (MPC), post-antibiotic effect (PAE), and time-killing curves were determined. Subsequently, the area under the curve by the MIC (AUC0-24h/MIC) values of desfuroylceftiofur (DFC) in the PELF was obtained by integrating in vivo pharmacokinetic data of the infected pigs and ex vivo pharmacodynamic data using the sigmoid Emax (Hill) equation. The dose was calculated based on the AUC0-24h/MIC values for bacteriostatic action, bactericidal action, and bacterial elimination. Results: The peak concentration, the area under the concentration-time curve, and the time to peak for PELF's DFC were 24.76 ± 0.92 ㎍/mL, 811.99 ± 54.70 ㎍·h/mL, and 8.00 h in healthy pigs, and 33.04 ± 0.99 ㎍/mL, 735.85 ± 26.20 ㎍·h/mL, and 8.00 h in infected pigs, respectively. The MIC of PELF's DFC against S. suis strain was 0.25 ㎍/mL. There was strong concentration-dependent activity as determined by MPC, PAE, and the time-killing curves. The AUC0-24h/MIC values of PELF's DFC for bacteriostatic activity, bactericidal activity, and virtual eradication of bacteria were 6.54 h, 9.69 h, and 11.49 h, respectively. Thus, a dosage regimen of 1.94 mg/kg every 72 h could be sufficient to reach bactericidal activity. Conclusions: A rational dosage regimen was recommended, and it could assist in increasing the treatment effectiveness of CEF hydrochloride oily suspension against S. Suis infections.
