Development of 132 kV Standard Potential Transformer and Stability Test (132 kV 초정밀 전압변성기(PT) 개발 및 안정도 평가)

  • High accurate and stable 132 kV potential transformers (PTs) including 66 kV & 22 kV PT with stability of less than 0.0033 % for 13 month and with ratio error within $\pm$ 0.024 % at full rated voltage have been developed. The PTs are useful as the reference PT of the PT comparator system in the voltage range of 11 kV to 132 kV PT.

  • With the expression inducted from equivalent circuit of transformer using coupling coefficient K, measuring terminal voltage, a calculation of coil coefficient with reapect to turn ratio is proposed. By that methcxi of measuring K, compared with values theorically, this paper confirmed its propriety. With that methcxi of measuring coil coefficient K, having several couple of coil set, we have clarified the characteristic of K according to changing coil's position, programming regression of least square methcxi, and then the expression for function of K is formulated.

  • This paper presents an isolated power factor correction converter for general-purpose electric vehicle chargers with a wide output voltage range. The converter is based on an asymmetrical dual active bridge structure so that the voltage stress of switching devices can be eliminated by transferring the transformer leakage inductance to the circuit parameters. Harmonic and output controls are performed by secondary switches, and primary switches are only operated at a fixed frequency with a 50% duty ratio. A harmonic modulation technique is also adopted to obtain a near-unity power factor without input current monitoring. The feasibility of the proposed charger is verified with a 3.3 kW prototype.

  • The combination of a buck converter and a forward converter can be considered to accomplish a high step-down non-isolated converter. To decrease the insufficient step-down ratio of a regular buck converter and to distribute switch voltage stress, a forward-integrated buck (FIB) converter is proposed in this paper. The proposed interleaved DC-DC converter provides an additional step-down gain with the help of a forward converter. In addition to its simple structure, the transformer flux reset problem is solved and an additional magnetic core reset winding is not required. The operational principle and an analysis of the proposed FIB converter are presented and verified by experimental results obtained with a 240 W, 150 V/24 V prototype.

  • 본 논문은 마이크로 그리드에서 에너지 저장용 시스템으로 이용되는 슈퍼커패시터용 양방향 DC-DC 컨버터의 충전 및 방전시 효율을 고려한 변압기 권선비 설계에 관한 것이다. 충방전 시스템의 토폴로지는 Dual Full-Bridge 방식의 양방향 DC-DC 컨버터이다. 이 컨버터는 슈퍼커패시터의 충전 및 방전시의 스위칭 동작에 따라 벅 또는 부스트 모드로 동작하므로 동일한 출력 조건하에 권선비를 달리해가면서 모드별로 스위칭 손실을 계산하였으며, 손실이 최소로 되는 변압기의 권선비를 제시하고자 한다.

  • A measurement system for magnetic anisotropy was built. The torque acting on the disc or sperical samples placed in uniform magnetic field was detected with a capacitive transducer which is connected with a transformer ratio-arm bridge. The output of the bridge was amplified with a lock-in amplifier. The cubic anisotropy constant for (100) of 3% Si-Fe was $3.3{\times}10^{4}\;J/m^{3}$. The calibration for the system was carried out with the shape anisotropy of a thin Ni wire.

  • This paper proposes a constant frequency controlled forward zero voltage switching multi resonant converter (ZVS-MRC) which operates with a fixed duty ratio. The proposed converter is obtained from a conventional forward ZVS-MRC by placing a saturable core in parallel with the secondary side of the transformer. Experimental results are presented for a proposed converter which operates at 1.5MHz switching frequency with an output power of 50W (5V/10A). The merits of the proposed converter include ; 1) reduced voltage stress to the main switch compared with the conventional counterpart, 2) ease on designing the magnetic components including EMI and output filter, and 3) simple control scheme.

  • Resonant converters have several salient features such as high efficiency and low noise. Therefore, ZVS-PWM controlled series resonant converter with active-clamp technique is presented. The combination of an active-clamp technique and resonant circuit makes it possible to control the output voltage of the resonant converter with PWM. This new resonant converter was implemented and has achieved a good controllability. In this paper, the normal load characteristics and abnormal voltage increase in the case of the light load are analyzed. As a result, it is clarified that the stray capacitance of the transformer is a cause of the abnormal voltage increase. Then, it is confirmed that the abnormal voltage increase is suppressed by decreasing the duty ratio. ZVS condition is analyzed. The maximum efficiency of 89% is obtained for the output of 10V and 5A.

  • A composite Iso-grid panel is manufactured and tested by compressive load. Vertical stringers and side stringers are joined with skin by secondary bonding using a liquid type adhesive. Bonding fixtures were developed to attach the stringers to skin. A-scan was done for inspection of secondary bonding region. The out of displacement field is visualized by shadow moire system. The strain and vertical displacement are measured by strain gages and L VDT (Linear Variable Differential Transformer). A local buckling is occurred at all grid sections. After that, the final failure is occurred. The strain of side stringer is much less than that of vertical stringer and skin. Due to the side stringer, the local buckling is delayed. Therefore the ratio of the first buckling to failure load is greater than that of vertical stringer stiffened panel.

  • This paper describes a resonant fly-back converter for high-voltage de distribution system. The proposed converter operates to change high-voltage de into low-voltage de with isolation and large converting ratio. The converter has a thyristor switch with an LC resonant circuit for commutation in the primary side of the gap transformer. The operation of the proposed system was verified through computer simulations and hardware scaled-model tests. The proposed system can be implemented with commercially available components and proven technologies.
