  • While member sections of concrete structures of nuclear power plant are big, water-cement ratio is small. Consequently, the huge amount of heat generation and high viscosity could be occurred. These might reduce constructibility of nuclear power plant. In order to obtain improved concrete mix proportion on nuclear power plant structures, the properties of normal concrete is compared with self-compacting concrete. In addition, various mixes of self-compacting concrete utilizing polycarboxylic acid based admixture is mutually compared and estimated.

  • The objective of this study the mechanical characteristics of prefoamed lightweight foamed concrete using the mineral foam agent which has high lightness, and strength. The compressive strength of lightweight foamed concrete using mineral foam agent are about 2 times degree high those the of lightweight foamed concrete using vegetable foam agent. Lightweight foamed concrete was able to obtain the result of 50kg/㎠ or more compressive strength, when was unit weight 0.8t/㎡. In the case of the same unit weight of concrete, it is influenced by w/c of foam agent ratio. The paper present extensive data on characteristics of compressive strength of the concrete manufatured with the different factors in mix design and also present optimum mix proportion.

  • The aim of this study is to provide fundamental informations that make it possible to use a cool stream and a hot stream simultaneously. We changed the pressure of compressed air that flows into a tube, the inner diameter of orifice that a cold stream exits, and the mass flow rate ratio. And in each case, we measured the temperature of a cold stream and a hot stream in each exit of a tube. Also we measured the axial temperature distribution and the radial temperature distribution in internal space of a tube. From the study, following conclusive remarks can be made. Average flow rate that flows into a tube is in proportion to square root of inlet pressure. As inlet pressure increases axial and radial temperature distribution in the inner space of vortex-tube increase. As mass flow rate ratio change, separation point moves.

  • Al 6061 alloy reinforced with 10 vol.% ${\delta}-Al_2O_3$ short fiber was fabricated by Rheo-compocasting and squwwze cating. Extrusion processings were performed at temperatures from 40$0^{\circ}C$ to 55$0^{\circ}C$ with various extrusion ratio for curved shape dies. In proportion to the increase of extrusion ratios and temperatures, ultimate tensile strength for extruded materials improved. SEM observation of fractured surfsce was capcble oof accounting for fracture mechanism and bounding state of fiber and matrix.

  • In order to reduce segregation in 12%Cr steel ingots of 60-100tons, numerical analysis by computer was applied to simulate solidification profiles and the profiles of liguid-solid coexisting zone in accordance with the ratios of H(Height) /D(diameter) of 100-ton ingot. The result is that the ratio of L(vertical length) /D(diameter) of liquid-solid coexisting zone was reduced in proportion to the decrease of H/D ratio. With the reduced H/D ratio(0.92) of ingot, the segregation in 60-ton ingot of 12% Cr steel can be much reduced and recovery was also improved by reducing ingot weight.

  • Succeding to Report I, to determine the effect of opening conditions and areas of clothes ($10\%,\;20\%,\;30\%,\;40\%$ of total area) on the warmth keeping properties, cooling method was employed by using Latin Square Design, The following results were obtained: 1) The warmth keeping ratio was varied with the opening conditions and the: order was downward, upward, horizontal and up & downward opening 2) The size of opening areas was in inverse proportion to the warmth keeping ratio, 3) In the horizontal opening, the thickness of air layers in clothes did not effect on the warmth keeping ratio.

  • 본 연구에서는 보통강재인 SS 41 강을 열처리하여 얻은 M.E.F.복합조직강의 모상입경변화와 3.5% NaCl수용액의 pH변화 조건하에서 반복굽힘피로실험을 하여 부식 피로파괴에 미치는 영향에 대해 고찰하였다.

  • 본 연구는 비례 추론에서 형식적 절차의 기계적 사용에 대한 비판과 이에 대한 대안으로 제시되는 시각적 모델의 사용에 대한 연구를 바탕으로 비례 추론 수업에서 시각적 모델의 활용 가능성을 탐색했다. 이를 위해 6학년 2학기 비례식과 비례배분 단원을 비표, 이중수직선, 이중테이프 모델을 활용한 수업으로 구성하여 한 학급에 적용하였다. 그 결과 시각적 모델이 비례의 의미를 이해하고 비의 성질 및 비례식의 성질을 발견하는 데, 그리고 비례식 문제 및 비례배분 문제를 해결하는 데 중요한 역할을 할 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 이러한 시각적 모델을 활용하는 데 학생들이 겪는 어려움과 이를 지도할 때 유의할 점이 있음을 확인하였다. 이를 통해 시각적 모델을 적극적으로 활용한 교과서 개발 및 비례 추론 수업에 대한 지도 방안을 마련하는 데 시사점을 제공할 수 있기를 기대한다.

Distinguishing Aroma Profile of Highly-Marbled Beef according to Quality Grade using Electronic Nose Sensors Data and Chemometrics Approach

  • Fat deposition in animal muscles differs according to the genetics and muscle anatomical locations. Moreover, different fat to lean muscle ratios (quality grade, QG) might contribute to aroma development in highly marbled beef. Scientific evidence is required to determine whether the abundance of aroma volatiles is positively correlated with the amount of fat in highly marbled beef. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the effect of QG on beef aroma profile using electronic nose data and a chemometric approach. An electronic nose with metal oxide semiconductors was used, and discrimination was performed using multivariate analysis, including principal component analysis and hierarchical clustering. The M. longissimus lumborum (striploin) of QG 1++, 1+, 1, and 2 of Hanwoo steers (n=6), finished under identical feeding systems on similar farms, were used. In contrast to the proportion of monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFAs), the abundance of volatile compounds and the proportion of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) decreased as the QG increased. The aroma profile of striploin from carcasses of different QGs was well-discriminated. QG1++ was close to QG1+, while QG1 and QG2 were within a cluster. In conclusion, aroma development in beef is strongly influenced by fat deposition, particularly the fat-to-lean muscle ratio with regard to the proportion of PUFA. As MUFA slows down the oxidation and release of volatile compounds, leaner beef containing a higher proportion of PUFA produces more volatile compounds than beef with a higher amount of intramuscular fat.
