국내 철도 차량의 음향발생 특성에 대한 비교 연구 (Sound Power Evaluation of Various Domestic Railroad Vehicles)

  • Many residential areas are situated near to railroad tracks so that a railroad noise has been one of the major environmental issues. In this paper two important aspects have been investigated in order to properly evaluate the railroad vehicle noise : sound power levels for different types and sound propagation characteristics of the railroad vehicles. For noise source characteristics of railroad vehicles, sound power values for various types of trains that are in active service have been measured. In this paper, domestic railroad vehicles are measured and compared with high speed train(TGV). Based on sound power information of railway vehicles, prediction on the sound pressure level and equivalent noise level near to railway areas have been evaluated.

  • As the air pollution caused by diesel vehicles goes worse, so non-road vehicles exhaust gas standard is strict in an foreign countries. In this paper, we calculate the amount of emission rates from Korean railroad lines and train kinds. Air pollutants emissions are calculated using by US EPA baseline in-use emission rates which is divided line-haul and switch mode. The calculated HC emissions on the railroad diesel vehicles are 1,209.1 t from Korean railroad lines.

  • Recently, as the road capacity reaches the limit and environmental problems becomes serious, there is gradually increased a need for railroad vehicles that are environment-friendly and have time regularity, reliability and safety. Accordingly, in addition to conventional railroad vehicles, lots of vehicles are being newly developed. We developed the hardware and software of the measurement system for on-line test and evaluation of korean hish speed train. The software controls the hardware of the measurement data and acts as interface between users and the system hardware. In this paper, we is studied for electric apparatus performance of railway vehicle using sensor. In order to this test is developed signal conversion system. Using this system, we obtained important result for pantograph voltage, battery voltage, axle speed, and running speed.

  • The purpose of Railroad Vehicles License Management in accordance with the Railroad Safety Law is to improve the quality of railroad safety. And the train simulators come into use for training of train operation and testing to issue Railroad Vehicles License. So, It is very important that the simulators for the Railroad Vehicles License Test require to work correctly, to measure driver's operation quality in numerical system and to ensure the justice of license test. In fact, nobody can guarantee that the simulators are feasible performance to use in license test. The simulator for train driver license test can be used effectively for studying of needed performance and quality to test new driver's skill. This study hopefully provides the base for improving the quality of the simulator for train driver's license test and contributes furthermore to improve the simulator development technology and railroad safety.

  • Increasing needs for rapid driving vehicles during rush hour, there are various researches how to operate or allocate rapid driving vehicles with the existing normal driving vehicles. In the aspect of power system, it should be preceded by an analysis for power equipment capacity. Also, it should be studied whether the added rapid driving vehicles gives a bad effects for stable operation of railway systems or not. In order to derive the results for these analysis processes, this paper suggest a novel analysis algorithm which can implement integrated analysis including rapid and normal driving railway vehicles simultaneously. This algorithm has been verified using Seoul Metro 7 Line data.

  • It is necessary to charge electric vehicles in order to drive them. Thus, it is essential to have electric vehicle charging facilities in place. In the case of a household battery charger, the power similar to that consumed by a household with a basic contract power of 3kW is consumed. In addition, many consumers who own an electric vehicle will charge their vehicles at the same time. The simultaneous charging of electric vehicles will cause the load to increase, which then will lead to the imbalance of supply and demand in the distribution system. Thus, a smart charging scheme for electric vehicles is an essential element. In this paper, simulated conditions were set up using real data relating to Korea in order to design a smart charging technique suitable for the actual situation. The simulated conditions were used to present a smart charging technique for electric vehicles that disperses electric vehicles being charged simultaneously. The EVs and Smart Charging Technique are modeled using the Electro Magnetic Transients Program (EMTP).

MR 댐퍼가 적용된 철도차량 이차현가장치의 H 제어 (H Control of Secondary Suspension in Railway Vehicles Equipped with a MR Damper)

  • In general, lateral ride comfort of railway vehicle is mainly influenced by a secondary suspension placed between the bogie and carbody. Higher operating speeds of train results in increased vibration of carbody, which has a negative impact related to the ride comfort. To solve this problem, researches to replace the conventional passive suspension with (semi)active technology in the secondary suspension of a railway vehicle have been carried out. The semi-active suspension using the magneto-rheological damper is relatively simpler system and has advantage in maintenance compared to the hydraulic type semi-active damper. This study was performed to reduce lateral vibration acceleration of carbody related to ride comfort of railway vehicles with a semi-active suspension system. The numerical analysis was conducted by replacing passive lateral damper with semi-active MR damper, and robust control with the MR damper was applied to the 1/5 scaled railway vehicle model.

장대터널용 소방차량의 운용에 관한 연구 (The study on the operation of fire fighting vehicle for a long railway tunnel)

  • 본 연구에서는 장대터널의 철도차량 화재사고 진압을 위한 소방차량 운용 시 고려사항을 분석 및 검토하였다. 최근들어 터널연장 10 km 이상의 긴 장대터널 시공사례가 늘고 있으며 경부선의 금정터널(연장 20.3 km)을 시작으로 영동선의 솔안터널(연장 16.7 km) 및 2016년 하반기 개통 예정인 수서고속선의 율현터널(연장 50.3 km)까지 점점 터널의 길이가 증가하는 추세이다. 이에 따라 터널 내에서 철도차량 내 대형화재사고 발생으로 긴급정차 시에 승객의 피난시간이 길어지는데 반해 소방인력의 접근은 더욱 어려워져서 큰 인명피해의 발생이 우려된다. 이에 해외 선진국에서는 철도선로 주행이 가능한 특수소방차량을 개발 및 도입하여 운용 중에 있다. 따라서 국내에서도 기존 도로전용 소방차량이 아닌 철도터널 내에서 운행이 가능한 특수소방차량 도입을 통한 대응체계 구축이 요구된다. 상기 목적으로 본 연구에서는 철도터널의 주요 환경과 철도차량 내 화재발생에 따른 터널 내 열환경 변화를 분석하였다. 또한, 분석결과를 개발 중인 장대터널용 소방차량의 주요 사양과 연계하여 국내 장대철도터널에서 소방차량 운용 시 주요 고려사항을 제안하였다.

  • According to ISO 4589-2:2001, we studied on the fire characteristics of some gangway materials used as the interior materials of the railroad vehicles. Currently materials of the gangway used in the railroad vehicles tend to alternate PVC coated fabric mostly used in former days with synthetic rubber or silicone. Accordingly, we compared Limited Oxygen Index on them in this study. And we found that the test results of the synthetic rubber or silicone gangway are better than those of the PVC coated fabric gangway largely.

철도차량 미분무수 소화설비 성능 평가 (Performance Evaluation on Water-mist Extinguishing System of Railway Vehicles)

  • The test system for the performance of the water-mist extinguishing system in the railway vehicle is equipped and the details of the system are introduced. The three scenarios using different fire sources and performance criteria for the water-mist systems on railway vehicles are also introduced. Three different type of the nozzle at same operating pressure are evaluated. Amount of water-mist distribution is measured by many baskets on the bottom of the test room. Temperature on the ceil and the tree of the test room is measured during the tests that are used for the judgement of the performance on the water-mist extinguishing system.
