The purpose of this research was to find out the most explainable variables influencing fashion leadership. This research was carried out by both the theoretical and empirical study. For the theoretical study, the research of fashion leadership was based on the fashion opinion leadership and innovativeness. The study included the analysis of variables influencing fashion leadership, such as clothing importance, clothing conformity, clothing anticonformity, perceived risk of clothing, use of fashion information source and demographic variables. For the empirical study, fashion leadership was measured by fashion opinion leadership and innovativeness. The variables influencing on the fashion leadership were measured by self-image, social participation, clothing behaviors(clothing importance, normative conformity, identificational conformity, clothing anticonformity, clothing independance), demographic variables(major fields of students, year of education, family income). Data were obtained from 335 female college and university students in Chung-Buk area by self-administered questionaire. The data collected through the questionaire were analyzed by the stastical thechique-stepwise regression. The results of the study were as follow: 44.6 percent of the total variance of fashion leadership was explained by the five variables: Clothing importance, use of marketer-dominated fashion information source, identificational conformity, traditional-modern self image and clothing anticonformity. Family income and the major fields of students are significantly related to the fashion leadership.
The purpose of this study was to find out the differences in stress perceptual levels of the Koreans according to their constitution and to analyze the effects of them on physical and mental health state. The subject of investigation was 87 outpatient department of constitution on Kyung - Hee Oriental Medicine Hospital. Data were collected by using interview with Questionaire. The measurement tools were Questionaire of constitution Identity(by B.H.Go), Stress Scale (by P.S.Lee ) and Cornell Medical Index. All of the tools were pre -tested for their reliability and validity. Analysis of data was done using frequency, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation and ANCOVA in SPSS program. The results obtained are as follows. 1. Stress perceptual level of the Koreans were significantly different as their constitution(F=9.68, P<.001). SOEMIN was the highest constitution in stress perceptual level. 2. In health state, there were considerable difference among the three constitutions(F=6.654, P<.05). SOEMIN was the lowest one at health state. 3. An inverse correlation was found out between stress perceptual level and health state(r=- .6034, P=.0001). 4. There were no differences in health state of the Koreans according to their constitutions if stress perceptual level excluded(F=1.01, P=.37). In conclusion, health state was effected not by constitutions alone, but by stress perceptual level according to constitutions of the Koreans.
The purpose of this article is to comparatively depict the organizational effectiveness of two rail firms based on the cognitive response of employees(group of drivers). To attain this purpose, several aspects of current personnel and organization management system and organizational culture are surveyed through questionaire and analyzed by SPSS. The questionaire includes two parts of items. First, it includes items on personnel-related factors such as evaluation system, job, wage, role, leadership and job satisfaction. Second, it includes items on organizational culture model suggested by Rousseau. The major findings are : 1) In general, the cognitive response of drivers in two firms concerning personnel-related aspects is to a certain degree negative. 2) The cognitive response of drivers in two firms concerning culture-related aspects is also awfully negative. 3) Job satisfaction of drivers in the firm A is highly related to role and leadership factors in terms of personnel-related aspects, on the one hand, and to achievement factor in terms of culture, on the other hand. In case of the firm B, job satisfaction of drivers is highly related to personnel evaluation factor as well as role and leadership factors in terms of personnel-related aspects, on the one hand, and to affiliation, power, and bureaucracy factors in terms of culture, on the other hand.
The objective of this study was to access the effects of sensory and physical properties of Beandaeduk on 7 different combination methods (three were combined with mung bean and different proportions of water; four were combined with mung bean and various cereals with constant water), and 3 storage periods (0, 1 and 3 weeks at $-18^{\circ}C$). This experiment was consisted of sensory evaluation I (appearance, texture, taste, flavor and overall preference), II (color, moisture, volume, hardness, elasticity, viscosity and ratio materials, off-flavor and oder) and physical analysis of each sample, and questionaire survey of Beandaeduk. In sensory evaluation I except flavor, significant differences (p<0.05) were found among different combination methods of sample. Also significant differences (p<0.05) were found in sample for storage periods, except appearance. In sensory evaluation II, only moisture and oder of samples were significantly different (p<0.05) for storage periods, and there were significant differences (p<0.05) in samples among different combination methods, except elasicity. Stepwise regression for storage periods in sensory I showed that texture and taste were important factors in overall preference of sample. In the questionaire survey, preference and adding materials of Beandaeduk were different according to province. Half of respondents preferred to get instant Beandaeduk and instant mung bean powder.
The environment of the modern library is changing rapidly with advancements in information technology, massive increse in information, and with the changing needs of users for information in order to keep up with developments in science and technology. The library should also be in a constant state of change in accordance with the changing environment. But the current situation is that library organizations in Korea do not show any change. Here arises the need to diagnose the health of these organization. Organizational innovations can be achieved either by change in the organizational structure or administrative methods or in personal attitudes. In making organizational innovations, however, it is not sufficient only to change the organizational structure or the administrative methods without changing personal attitudes. The purpose of this thesis is to diagnose the health of university library organizations in Korea and to suggest prescriptions based on the results of this diagnosis, by means of organization development theory. In this study, the action research model and the diagnostic model were developed for the health of university library organization in Korea. The action research model consisted of 3 steps: diagnosis, intervention and evaluation. The diagnostic model comprised diagnostic criterion and diagnostic indicators. The health of an organization was selected as the diagnostic criterion. Diagnostic indicators were divided into 3 levels: personal job-satisfaction at the individual level, cohesiveness at the group level, and the organizational climate at the organizational level. Both the interview and the questionaire were used as diagnostic methods. The questionaire form was designed according to the Likert typle 5-point scale. For the investigation, 10 university libraries were selected from the private universities in Seoul, and questionaire sheets were sent to their 156 librarians and responses were received from 116 persons. An interview was carried out with a selected chief of departments of the library concerned. The results of the diagnosis show that the average personal jobsatisfaction was 3.57, the group cohesiveness was 3.15 and organizational climate was 2.93, and accordingly the comprehensive health indicator was 3.22. The health of university library organizations in Korea was generally on the decline at all 3 levels. In particular, the organizational climate was in a very weak state. Most problems concern dissatisfaction with personnel policy, communications and non-professionally qualified directors. As the prescriptions, the following was suggested: institutionalization of the staff meeting for resolving problems with communication, appointement of professional directors, performance appraisal, conferring faculty status for librarians, and a suggest system. And for the improvement of the organizational climate, managerial grid training was suggested as one of the educational strategies for organizational development.
1. Purpose of the study: This study was to investigate and analyse the career decision making patterns of students, which would enhance vocational guidance activities for the students. The specific purposes of the study are as follows. 1) To find how much the fisheries high school students are satisfied with the school. 2) To find out the factors which would influence the fisheries high school students in their career decision making. 3) To find out the person who plays the most important role in the career decision making of the students 4) To find out the patterns of behavior taken by the fisheries high school students in their career decision making. 2. Hypotheses: The following hypotheses were tested for this study. 1) There would be significant differences in the extent of school-satisfaction, depending on the class level and major. 2) There would be significant differences in the value criterion with which the fisheries high school students make decisions on their careers, depending on the grades, majors, and the levels of school-satisfaction. 3) There would be significant differences in the human factors which affect their decision-making on their career, depending on the class levels, majors, and the levels of school satisfaction. 4) There would be significant differences in the patterns of behavior they take when they make decisions on their careers depending on the grades, majors and the levels of school satisfaction. 3. Methods of the study: For the verification of the above hypotheses, a questionaire was developed by the researcher, and the questionaire was answered by the total 440 students from three fisheries high schools, located in the rural and urban areas, out of 8 fisheries high schools in Korea. The questionaire was composed of two major parts: school-satisfaction (10 items) and career decision making patterns (39 items). The career decision-making patterns include 16 value criterion items, 10 human category items, and 13 behavior category items. 4. Results of the study: 1) School satisfaction; There was no significant difference in school satisfaction depending on the class level and major. 2) Value criteria; a) Almost of the fisheries high school students think that the potential for advancement, job security, and salary are important factors for their job. b) The seafarer-students rated the salary, prestige of the occupation and leadership to be important than the nonseafarer-students. The nonseafarer-students rated the stabilization of their livelihood and opportunity to use their creative ideas than the seafarer-students. c) The students unsatisfied with their school emphasize the working environment, variety of work duties and leisure more than the satisfied ones. 3) Human factors: a) The fisheries high school students are affected most by their homeroom teachers, major teachers and their parents, but they are less influenced by their counselor. b) The seniors are more affected by their friends or classmates than the freshmen, and especially seafarer-students are more affected by major teachers. c) The persons, who are working in the occupation they are interested in, exert more influence on unsatisfied students than class-teachers do. 4) Behavior patterns; a) Most of them want test their abilities. b) The nonseafarer-students and seniors tend to depend on their own intuitions. c) The seafarer-students, the freshmen, and the satisfied with their school tend to discuss with other persons, and the unsatisfied tend to be influenced by the information that they collect for themselves.
The purpose of this study is (1) to investigate the level of the consumer needs on a reform of administrative service and (2) to identify the influencing variables. For empirical analysis it used the data on 511 persons collected in the Chunju. The questionaire method was for data gathering. The major findings are as follows: (1) The level of consumer needs on a reform of administrative service is quite high and expecially the need on ' a government employee' is very high(2) It differed significantly according to age occupation attitude on adminstation attitude on consumerism and especially attitude on consumerism is most influencing variables.
We investigated the actual usefulness of bathrooms in individuals living in apartment. We performed a randomized matched questionaire study involving 487 individuals who use a unit-bathroom and live in apartment in Taegu and it's rural cities for the period from May to June, 2000. Most of the individuals used bathroom for washing behavior of daily living, such as, washing hands, feet, face, and hair, except bathing, Almost all the individuals reported some complaints about the height and size of wash-stand when they wash face or hair, And most of the individuals does not use the bath-tube when they shower or bathe.

One of major research issues in cellular manufacturing is studing factors that are fovorable or detrimental to the conversion of traditional functional layouts to GT cellular layouts. Among many factors, this paper explored plausible relationships between the scope of plant conversion and the manufacturing cell design processes and outcomes. The cell design practices of 28 U. S. plants were surveyed through a mail questionaire. While most relationships were not statistically significant, some interesting findings and insights could be drawn. With this researhc, we can better understand a part of relationships between the company's conversion strategy and the cell design strategies and outcomes.
