  • The purpose of this study was to determine the long term effect of a pleasantly designed interior on pro-saptial behavior. For pleasantly designed interior, the existing interior was remodeled through the change of finishing materials for major architectural elements such as wall, floor and ceiling, and changes of furniture and it's arrangement . Pro-spatial behavior was operationalized as seat arranging behavior and measured through the arranged condition and observable arranging behavior. Time-series design, one of quasi-experimental design was used. The data in this study were extracted from an existing field experimental research. Five hundred survey video tapes record during 2 years period were used. In conclusion, the pleasantly designed environment has a long term effect on the pro-spatial behavior change . While self-centered pro-spatial was improved continuously and even reinforced , altruistic pro-spatial behavior was improved but diminished as time passed. There were no differences in the effect between male and female children. The result of the research provide scientific background of an answer to why Interior Design.

TOMS 오존전량의 시공간 변동; 전구적인 추세 및 연직 분포 (Temporal and Spatial Variability of the TOMS Total Ozone; Global Trends and Profiles)

  • TOMS 월별 오존전량의 전구 자료를 이용하여, 두 기간(전기: 1979-1992년, 후기: 1997-2002년)에 대한 오존전량 추세 및 시공간 변동을 지역과 해륙 분포에 따라 상호 비교하였다. 전기에 비하여 후기의 오존전량이 0-20 N 일부 지역을 제외하고 전지구적으로 10 DU 정도 감소하였다. 오존전량의 추세는 전구적으로 전자기간에 감소(-6.30 DU/decade)를 나타냈다. 후자 기간의 오존 증가 경향은 열대 지역에서 현저하였다. 1997-2002년 기간의 오존전량에 대한 경험직교함수 분석은 준2년 진동(QBO), 준3년 진동(QTO), 엘니뇨(ENSO), 그리고 화산폭발과 관련된 시공간 변동을 반영하였다. 열대 지역에서 대류권 오존의 연직 분포는 동서방향에서 파수 1의 형태를 보였다. 본 연구는 기후 및 환경변화와 관련된 성층권과 대류권 오존 변화의 원인 규명에 도움을 줄 수 있다.

영과잉 공간자료의 분석 (Zero In ated Poisson Model for Spatial Data)

  • 가산자료(counts data)를 적합 하는 경우 보통 포아송 모형이 가장 먼저 고려된다. 과산포 문제가 있을 경우도 유사 포아송(quasi Poisson) 모형이나 음이항(Negative binomial) 모형으로 대부분 설명이 가능하다. 하지만, 가산자료 중에는 포아송분포를 가정한 기대 빈도 이상으로 많은 0이 관측되는 자료가 있고 이를 영과잉(Zero inflated) 가산 자료라고 부른다. 영과잉 가산자료를 설명하기 위해 영과잉 포아송(ZIP) 모형이나 영과잉 음이항(ZINB) 모형을 이용할 수 있다. 더 나아가 영과잉 가산자료가 공간상관관계까지 있을 경우 영과잉 문제뿐만 아니라 유의할 수 있는 공간효과까지 고려해야하고 이를 위해 혼합효과모형(mixed effects model)이 고려 될 수 있다. 본 연구에서 사용된 2004년 기준 부산시 남성동별 갑상선암 발생자수 자료를 이용하여, 일반선형 포아송모형, 영과잉 포아송모형, 공간 영과잉 포아송모형을 적합하여 비교해보았다.

  • In mathematical population ecology which is an academic field that studies how populations of biological species change as times flows at specific locations in their habitats, PDE models have been studied in many aspects and found to have different properties from the classical ODE models. And different approaches to PDE type models in mathematical biology are still being tried currently. This article investigate various forms to express diffusion effects and review the history of PDE models involving diffusion terms in mathematical ecology. Semi-linear systems representing the spatial movements of each individual as random simple diffusion and quasi-linear systems describing more complex diffusions reflecting interspecific interactions are studied. Also it introduce a few of important problems to be solved in this field.

  • This paper discuss the conditionally sampled actual wind pressure distributions causing peak quasi-static wind loads in the large span roofs using the wind pressures at many locations on dome models measured simultaneously in a wind tunnel. The actual extreme pressure distributions are compared itk load-response-correlation (LRC) method and the quasi-steady pressure distributions. Based on the results, the reason for the discrepancy in the LRC pressure distribution and the actual extreme pressure distribution are discussed. Futhermore, a brief discussion is made of the equivalent static wind load estimation for the large span roofs.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 기하학습 교구인 조립 교구인 4D Frame 활용 학습이 초등학생들의 공간 지각 능력 신장에 미치는 영향을 분석함으로써 수학 교수 학습 방법의 개선에 도움을 주기 위한 것이다. 서울시내 5학년 2개 반을 임의로 선정하여 한 학급은 기하 교구를 활용한 수업을 실시하는 실험 집단(31명)으로, 한 학급은 일반 수학 수업을 실시하는 비교 집단(32명)으로 선정하여 한 달간 10차시의 수업을 실시하였다. 본 연구에 사용한 실험 설계는 준 실험 설계(Qusai-Experimental-Design) 중 이질 통제 집단 전후 검사 설계(Nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design)를 적용하였다. 실시한 검사 도구는 공간 감각 검사로 사전 사후 모두 동형 검사지를 사용하였다. 또한 수업 관찰 분석과 학생들의 학습지에 대한 반응을 분석하였다. 연구의 결과 첫째, 기하 교구의 활용 학습은 공간 지각 능력 신장에 있어서 효과적이었다. 둘째, 기하 교구의 활용 학습은 공간 감각에 있어서 지각의 일관성과 공간 관계의 지각력 신장에 있어서 효과적이었다. 그리고 후속 연구로 동일 교구의 보다 광범위한 적용 및 다양한 교구의 개발을 제언하였다.

라이프스타일에 따른 디자인 호텔 로비 디자인의 연상 기제에 관한 연구 (A Study on Association Mechanism of Lobby Design in Design Hotels according to Lifestyles)

  • In modern society which changes from quantity-seeking society to value-seeking one, people's various lifestyles have great effect on consumption patterns and work as an important factor in choosing hotels. The fact that design hotels, which provide unique experiences with differentiated and sensitive designs by reflecting various lifestyles, recently attract attention can be understood in the same context. As a matter of fact, design hotels recently serve as destinations as they become cultural and artistic icons which reflect customer lifestyles. Especially, the designs of lobby spaces in hotels play deciding role in customers' choices while representing the nature of hotels. In this respect, under the premise that the kinds of accumulated experiences are different depending on lifestyles and preferences for specific interior spaces are influenced by association mechanism formed by experiences, this study analyzed lobby spaces of design hotels which focus on specific lifestyles from the perspective of association mechanism based on experiences. As the method of analysis, this study classified the types of lifestyles and conducted case analysis to investigate what association mechanism works to enhance the preference of design hotels by types. Study classified lifestyles into experiential activity type, social meeting type, fashion-pursuing type and hideout-preferring type and analyzed cases of lobby designs in design hotels. The results of this case analysis are as follows; First, experiential activity type mainly utilized quasi-association and approach association through senses and social meeting type utilized quasi-association and memory association through emotions while fashion-pursuing type utilized quasi-association and presumption association through intuition and hideout-preferring type utilized quasi-association and approach association through thoughts. Second, it was found that most lobby designs are characterized by association mechanism in visual formative nature and that in temporal spatial nature working in complex way, and, through such process of association expansion, space stories are created. Stories of spaces created this way become unique identities of design hotels that provide new experiences for customers.

낙상예방교육이 공간디자인 입문 학생의 인식에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of the Fall Prevention Education on the Awareness of Beginners to Spatial Design)

  • Falls are accidents that can happen throughout the overall period of human life and their results are very fatal and have a serious negative effect on individuals and society. In case of aged people, even though they live in places where dangerous risks of falls are prevalent, they cannot improve their residential environment for themselves. Therefore, this study intends to prove the effects of fall prevention education by providing fall prevention education to spatial design majoring students in order to improve their perception about the falls and fall prevention environments and their social responsibility as a designer. This study was designed as Quasi-experimental study, and 121 beginners to spatial design received the education. As a result, the effects of education was proved by showing improvements on their awareness about the fall risks, the importance of fall prevention environment and social responsibility as a designer. In addition, after the education students could know more about spatial elements for fall prevention and they specified the details of important environmental factors for fall prevention. Generally, fall prevention education has been given to aged people and this is a first example of fall prevention education that was given to younger generation. It is meaningful that fall prevention education has changed the awareness of the students to help them work in spatial environment design with a strong sense of responsibility as an expert of spatial designer in future.

  • This paper is concerned with an SIRS epidemic model with spatial diffusion and time delay representing the length of the immunity period. By using a new cross iteration scheme and Schauder's fixed point theorem, we reduce the existence of traveling wave solutions to the existence of a pair of upper-lower solutions. By constructing a newfashioned pair of upper-lower solutions, we derive the existence of a traveling wave solution connecting the uninfected steady state and the infected steady state.
