INTEGRAL DOMAINS WITH FINITELY MANY STAR OPERATIONS OF FINITE TYPE

  • Let D be an integral domain and SF(D) be the set of star operations of finite type on D. We show that if ${\mid}SF(D){\mid}$ < ${\infty}$, then every maximal ideal of D is a $t$-ideal. We give an example of integrally closed quasi-local domains D in which the maximal ideal is divisorial (so a $t$-ideal) but ${\mid}SF(D){\mid}={\infty}$. We also study the integrally closed domains D with ${\mid}SF(D){\mid}{\leq}2$.

  • A ring R is called (left principally) quasi-Baer if the left annihilator of every (principal) left ideal of R is generated by an idempotent. Let R be a ring, G be an ordered monoid acting on R by $\beta$ and R be G-compatible. It is shown that R is (left principally) quasi-Baer if and only if skew monoid ring $R_{\beta}[G]$ is (left principally) quasi-Baer. If G is an abelian monoid, then R is (left principally) quasi-Baer if and only if the Cohn-Jordan extension $A(R,\;\beta)$ is (left principally) quasi-Baer if and only if left Ore quotient ring $G^{-1}R_{\beta}[G]$ is (left principally) quasi-Baer.

  • The present paper gives a new construction of a quotient BCI(BCK)-algebra X/${\mu}$ by a fuzzy ideal ${\mu}$ in X and establishes the Fuzzy Homomorphism Fundamental Theorem. We show that if ${\mu}$ is a fuzzy ideal (closed fuzzy ideal) of X, then X/${\mu}$ is a commutative (resp. positive implicative, implicative) BCK(BCI)-algebra if and only if It is a fuzzy commutative (resp. positive implicative, implicative) ideal of X Moreover we prove that a fuzzy ideal of a BCI-algebra is closed if and only if it is a fuzzy subalgebra of X We show that if the period of every element in a BCI-algebra X is finite, then any fuzzy ideal of X is closed. Especiatly, in a well (resp. finite, associative, quasi-associative, simple) BCI-algebra, any fuzzy ideal must be closed.

  • Intrinsic product of intuitionistic fuzzy sets are considered. Using this, characterizations of intuitionistic fuzzy subrings/ideals are discussed. The notions of intuitionistic fuzzy quasi ideals and intuitionistic fuzzy bi-ideals are introduced. Characterizations of regular rings are provided.

ON QB-IDEALS OF EXCHANGE RINGS

  • We characterize QB-ideals of exchange rings by means of quasi-invertible elements and annihilators. Further, we prove that every $2\times2$ matrix over such ideals of a regular ring admits a diagonal reduction by quasi-inverse matrices. Prime exchange QB-rings are studied as well.

  • We introduce the notions of nilpotent element, quasi-regular element in a semiring which is a distributive lattice of rings. The concept of Jacobson radical is introduced for this kind of semirings.

  • We consider pm-ring with the property such that every prime ideal is contained in only one maximal ideal. Orsatti[4] characterized pm-rings by means of the retraction. Contessa[1] found algebraic condition, by using that direct product of pm-rings is a pm-ring. We show that C(X, H) and C(X, C) are pm-rings and we extend a quasi pm-domain.

  • It is proved that $k[X_1,{\ldots},X_v ]$ localized at the ideal ($X_1,{\ldots},X_v$ ), where k is a field and $X_1,{\ldots},X_v$ indeterminates, is not weakly quasi-complete for $v{\geq}2$, thus proving a conjecture of D. D. Anderson and solving a problem from "Open Problems in Commutative Ring Theory" by Cahen, Fontana, Frisch, and Glaz.
