  • Over the last few years computer based image processing has become more prominent in forensic science. The image quality from many CCTV systems is too poor for facial recognition. but there are other human characteristics which allow us to recognize individuals from a distance. one of these parameters is a human's height. In this paper, we propose useful height measurement method by auto Position, size adjustment which uses image superimposition and edge detection regardless of lens distortion and not uses conventional photogrammetry calibration methods.

Identification of Reaction Mechanism to Produce High Quality Weld During Submerged Arc Welding

  • The interpretation of the reaction mechanism is significant to produce the high quality welds and understand the welding processes. This investigation is important for the design of welding consumables and the selection of welding process parameters to develop the high quality welds. The objective of this study is to investigate the effect of electrochemical reactions on the transfer of alloy elements between slag and weld metal during submerged arc welding During submerged arc welding weld metal composition is shown to be controlled by two reaction mechanisms in four reaction zones. The responsible reaction mechanisms are thermochemical and electrochemical reactions. The possible reaction sites are the melted electrode tip, the detached droplet, the hot weld pool immediately below the moving electrode, and the cooling and solidifying weld pool behind the moving electrode. The possible reactions in submerged arc welding at different zones of the process is schematically shown in Figure 1.

  • A systematic investigation for the process design in deep drawing is necessary to improve the quality of drawn cups. This study concentrates mainly on the influence of process design strategy on the product quality. Several types of process design were chosen from initial blank of 100mm in diameter to make final cup of 50mm in diameter. Forming analysis are carried out to find out optimal design in terms of drawing force. We assume that the case which shows minimum drawing force in the subsequent operations is the best case. Through experiments it is found that the case which shows minimum drawing force also results in minimum drawing force and better product quality than other case. Thus, it is shown that this design strategy is very effective in the improvement of quality in drawn cups.

  • In order to cope with the violent environment of surrounding enterprises, development of new products, advance to other industry field, unification or abolition of factories and rationlization of labor are needed. But production process being made quality and using process after shipment are the things that we have to think about, first of all and to practice always. Insurance problem of reliability, that is, the positive quality maintenance that has being presented many debate issues recently, will be studied. The accident of nuclear power-plant in America, in connection with reliability maintenance and human engineering, will be analyzed. But as its accident details is not announced, in this study, it is a sort of method of methodology to be studied this paper rather than studying the fact of the accident. Therefore this study will be done as follows, For reliability study. 1. Investigation of problems. 2. Quality maintenance activity and reliability maintenance activity 3. Reliability acquisition in production process, 4. Reliability maintenance after shipment. 5. Conclusion. In addition to stating above, it is sure that liberalization of trade, interchange between nations and strengthening of international competition ability, etc. need high quality. But possibility that quality maintenance or reliability aquisition needs understanding and cooperation of consumer, will be stated.

  • Currently, the Korean railway safety law (RSL) and its ordinances have been enforced for the guarantee of the safety of railway. In RSL, the quality certification is required to guarantee the safety and performance of railway components or systems. However, not much attention has been focused on the quality certification scheme for railway components or systems since the scheme is relatively new. Therefore, in this investigation, the detailed guidelines and main contents for the enforcement of quality certification for railway components will be suggested, and the detailed items including the procedures, subjects, management, etc., will be addressed. Moreover, a better understanding on quality certification for railway components will be provided.

  • In this papers, it will be introduced that power quality analysis software design including investigation of mutual relation between power quality data and mechanism for getting data from power quality database according as based on object-oriented methodology.   • This paper suggest the importance of relationship marketing of the apparel store, and proved the relationship between the relationship marketing factors and the relationship quality and performance. In this research, department store is focused, Credence service, contact guest service, and communication service are defined as relationship marketing factors. Satisfaction and trust are defined as relationship quality. And long-term oriented relationship, repeat purchase. and positive word-of-mouth are set to performance. The questionnaire survey was carried out 238 20's & 30's women in the capital region during nov, 2000. SAS package program was used to analyze the gathered data. The investigation of this research reveals some results. First, relationship marketing factor has effects on relationship quality. Second, it is proved that relationship quality has effects on performance. In conclusion, it is proved that relationship marketing of apparel store is very important marketing strategy that make concrete relationship with consumer and give satisfaction and trust to consumer, and then can make partnership with consumer for long-term consideration.

  • This paper shows a case study on quality confirmation and maintenance monitoring of the tunnel underpassing the Han River. First of all, when it comes to the quality confirmation, soil investigation techniques and shotcrete core test will be improved. On the construction stages, quality control procedures are needed. Second, on the maintenance monitoring, it is the main tool to control stability and safety of the tunnel structures throughout the construction period. On the geotechnical monitoring instrumentation, some considerations such as installation of monitoring sections in time, immediate base readings, adequate reading frequency, etc - shall be improved.

  • In this study, an investigation was done into service quality factors of infant education institutes, after which a positive verification was made in the rotation of cause and effect between service quality, service value and customer satisfaction. Based on this verification, strategies were presented for plans to improve the service qualify of infant education. In addition, identification was made into factors that affect customer satisfaction, re-registration intention and recommendation to others in putting forward service operational strategies for infant education institutes and making a comparative analysis on kindergartens and daycare centers.

  • Product liability refers to the liability of producers, distributors and suppliers for consumers' property losses or personal injury caused by that product. This paper conducted a survey related to product liability issues in Shenzhen City, and did an in-depth analysis of current problems. Finally, the paper puts forward corresponding suggestions for improvement of Shenzhen City product liability status.
