As real-time media applications based on IP multicast networks spread widely, the end-to-end QoS (quality of service) provisioning for these applications have become very important. To guarantee the end-to-end QoS of multi-party media applications, it is essential to monitor the time-varying status of both network metrics (i.e., delay, jitter and loss) and system metrics (i.e., CPU and memory utilization). In this paper, targeting the multicast-enabled AG (Access Grid) group collaboration tool based on multi-Party real-time media services, a hybrid monitoring scheme that can monitor the status of both multicast network and node system is investigated. It combines active monitoring and passive monitoring approaches to measure multicast network. The active monitoring measures network-layer metrics (i.e., network condition) with probe packets while the passive monitoring checks application-layer metrics (i.e., user traffic condition by analyzing RTCP packets). In addition, it measures node system metrics from system API. By comparing these hybrid results, we attempt to pinpoint the causes of performance degradation and explore corresponding reactions to improve the end-to-end performance. The experimental results show that the proposed hybrid monitoring can provide useful information to coordinate the performance improvement of multi-party real-time media applications.
As the informationized society develops, for companies to be industrially competitive in global competition, innovation of business administration through informationization is a nation-wide task that must be driven. Small-to-mid size companies also tend to recognize the need for informationization and build the information systems, improving their informationization levels. To reduce errors in bringing in and running the information systems and increase efficiency In using them, the need for the standard and guide for informationization in small-to-mid size companies has increased. Accordingly, the national office of small and medium business administration has developed the informationized management system (IMS) certification standard in order to provide a national motive to secure the means for management innovation of small-to-mid size companies and have them recognize informationization as a business strategy. Now, there arises the need for the IMS certification standard, which was developed in early 2000, due to changes in environments of small-and-medium businesses and problems that have been revealed in field applications. In this research, we have examined the current situations of informationization in small-and-medium businesses that were revealed by the 2005 survey on the levels of informationization in small and medium business, have drawn the problems that have occurred in the process of applying the IMS in many small-to-mid size companies, have devised the measures against those problems, and have proposed a new IMS certification standard that reflects those measures. This research has proposed only the direction for development of the IMS certification standard. Future researches should deal with detailed items and criteria for evaluation and continuous improvement of them.

It is true that the police have been faithful to the role of the regime's sewer and committed many disruptions and errors, and have been criticized and criticized by the public. It should now be the foundation of the democratic police and an organization supported by the people. The problem is that the quality, personality, and values of 130,000 police officers should be changed and should be in line with the spirit of the times. One of the theories of police corruption is the "rotten apple hypothesis." The theory is that there is a high possibility that the entire police force will be corrupted, as if the defective apple in the apple box is rotten and the whole apple is rotten, without filtering out potential corrupt police officers during the recruitment phase. In other words, the cause of corruption is based on personal flaws. This study intends to analyze the causes of police corruption and improvement measures. The purpose of this study is to ensure that police officers in charge of national security are usually armed with ethics and good conduct. The police should be trusted by the people and need a stronger prescription for police corruption. In this respect, this study aims to solve the corruption problem of police officials, analyze anti-corruption, and find out what are the desirable countermeasures. The main study methods of this study are as follows; First, we first tried to collect data through research on corruption-related literature. The analysis was focused on the related papers of police corruption and government reports. Second, police corruption theory and anti-corruption alternatives were analyzed. It was reviewed focusing on the theory of corruption or translated data. Third, a literature survey was analyzed to examine the National Police Agency's perception of police corruption. Based on these research methods, we tried to derive the desirable control measures for the hypothesis of police corruption. This study is believed to have contributed to supporting the organizational corruption and culture of the apple box, including the personality of the individual's values, which is a rotten apple theory of police corruption.
Objective: There is a growing movement to introduce Patient-Reported Outcome (PRO) to clinical settings. This study aimed to investigate the routine use of PRO in tertiary hospital clinical settings. Methods: From January 2016 to December 2018, the usage status of Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) submitted to the electronic medical record of a tertiary hospital clinical setting was investigated. Descriptive analysis was conducted to investigate the usage status of PROMs by 42 departments. Also, the most frequently used PROMs by departments, the purpose of measurement, the use rate of verified PROMs were investigated. Results: The PROMs accounted for 66% (98) of the 148 Instruments. Of the 98 PROMs, 64% (63) were using a validation Korean version of PROMs. Only about 1% of total outpatient visits applied PROMs, and among them, it was frequently used in urology (13%), orthopedics (8%), and otolaryngology (5%). The use rate of the validated PROMs was found to be 64%. Conclusions: The use of PROMs in domestic clinical settings was found to be very limited and frequently used only in specific departments. It is essential to use a PROMs that has been validated according to guidelines, as the use of validated PROMs will provide beneficial information to health professionals and also for the patient health improvement by objectively measuring the patient's health status.

Background: Acromioclavicular (AC) osteoarthritis (OA) is a frequent pathology of the shoulder in elderly patients. Drug injection plays an important role in treatment of AC OA. Literature has demonstrated excellent short-term results regarding shoulder function and pain. However, mid- to long-term results are lacking. The aim of this study was to assess the efficacy of a single intra-articular AC injection in patients with AC OA and to identify predictive factors for success. Methods: A retrospective study was performed to analyze success rate, shoulder function, and pain perception after a single intra-articular injection in patients with AC OA. Success was defined as the absence of reinterventions such as additional injection or surgery. Outcome measures were 1-year success rate and clinical outcome scores of Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) for pain, Oxford Shoulder Score, and Subjective Shoulder Value. Results: Ninety-eight patients participated in this study. At a median final follow-up of 0.8 years (interquartile range, 0-6), 57 of these patients (58%) had undergone a reintervention. The 1-year success rate was 47% (95% confidence interval, 37%-57%), with NRS at rest as the sole factor significantly associated with success. Thirty patients not requiring reintervention reported significant improvement from baseline for all reported outcome measures at final follow-up. Conclusions: AC injections offer a 1-year success rate of 47%. The AC injection produces good mid- to long-term clinical outcomes regarding shoulder function, quality of life, and pain perception in one-third of patients. Further research is essential to analyze mid- to long-term outcomes of AC injections.

With the OTT media market growing rapidly, the significance of trustworthy data verification and certification cannot be emphasized enough. This study delves into the crucial need for such measures in South Korea, exploring the steps involved, the technological and policy-related considerations, and the challenges that may arise once these measures are put into place. Drawing on in-depth interviews and the analytical hierarchy process (AHP), this study surveyed various stakeholder groups, both directly and indirectly related to OTT data authentication and certification. By assessing the severity of OTT data-related issues and identifying the requirements for reliability-improvement policies, participants shared their valuable insights and opinions on this pressing matter. The survey results clearly indicate a divided opinion among stakeholders and industry experts on the reliability of OTT data, with some expressing trust while others remain skeptical. However, there was a consensus that advertising-based AVOD is more reliable than SVOD. By analyzing the priorities of authentication and verification, this study paves the way for the establishment and operation of a Korean MRC (KMRC), centered on the OTT media industry. The KMRC will serve as a vital platform for ensuring the authenticity and accuracy of OTT data in South Korea, providing businesses and industry players with a reliable source of information for informed decision-making. This study highlights the pressing need for reliable data authentication and certification in the rapidly growing OTT media market, and provides a persuasive case for the establishment of a KMRC in South Korea to meet this critical need.

This study aims to assess the maturity of Korean open access (OA) journals using the OA infrastructure provided by the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information, and develop necessary strategies for future improvement. The assessment model consists of three dimensions, 12 items, and 24 sub-items. The importance of the three dimensions (A: OA policy establishment and disclosure, B: OA sustainability, and C: Journal openness quality) was differentiated by the Analytic Hierarchy Process, and the maturity stages were divided into five levels (Entry, Growth1, Growth2, Maturity1, and Maturity2). The assessment was carried out twice for 100 academic journals. The results indicated that the proportion of journals at or above the Growth1 level increased by 11% to reach 83% during the second assessment phase, which could be owing to the learnings of the first assessment. Following expert consultations on the assessment results, three support measures were identified to activate OA. The first includes OA promotion and education activities, which involve creating standard regulations and guidelines, and advancing educational activities for societies that are either preparing for or currently implementing OA. The second involves providing support for technical aspects, such as identifiers, XMLization, and copyright management, through peer review and OA publishing platforms. The third includes collaborative activities to enhance journal evaluations and the recognition criteria for researchers' achievements in OA journals, and fostering cooperation with national and research and development institutions for financial support.
Background: The current study examined health-related quality of life (QoL) for patients with esophageal/gastric cardia precursor lesions or cancer before and after treatment to facilitate improved prevention and treatment. Materials and Methods: Patients with different stages of esophageal/gastric cardia lesions completed two QoL questionnaires, EORTC QLQ-C30 and supplemental QLQ-OES 18, before primary treatment, and at 1, 6 and 12 months after treatment. Results: Fifty-nine patients with precursor lesions, 57 with early stage cancer, and 43 with advanced cancer responded to our survey. Patients with precursor lesions or early stage cancer reported better QoL overall than those with advanced cancer before treatment (p<0.01). Global QoL scores before treatment and at 1 month after treatment were $71{\pm}9$ versus $69{\pm}9$ (p>0.01), $71{\pm}8$ versus $61{\pm}11$ (p<0.01), $67{\pm}11$ versus $62{\pm}9$ (p<0.01) for three stages of lesions. At 6 months after treatment, some QoL measures recovered gradually in precursor lesion and early cancer patients, while some continuously deteriorated in advanced cancer patients. At 12 months, all QoL scores were comparable to baseline for patients with precursor lesions (p>0.01), while global QoL, social, pain, and insomnia scores for early stage and advanced cancer were inferior to corresponding baseline levels (difference between means>5, p<0.01). At this time point, compared with patients with early stage cancer, those with advanced cancer showed worse QoL with all function and most symptom measures (p<0.01). Conclusions: Patients with precursor lesions or early stage esophageal/gastric cardia cancer show better QoL than those with advanced cancer. This indicates that screening, early diagnosis and treatment may improve the QoL for esophageal/gastric cardia cancer patients. Target intervention and counseling should be given by health care providers during treatment and follow-up to facilitate QoL improvement.
Researches on mineral nutrition, physiology and phyrsiological diseases, . cultivaction methods. brceding. pest control quality management and extension during 1976-1995 in Korea were reviewed Review in brceding and pest control was restricted to the researches directely related to cultivaction. Mineral nulrient up take. partion and varicos factors such as top dreasing. Light intersity etc. and interrelationship between minerals were investigated. Top dressing was not effective due to low minera1 requorement Physiological characteristics on tempelature light and water were well elucidated and applied to assess traditional cultivation method and its inovation. Photosyrnthetic pigments. light harvest proteins and activity of related enzymes were studied. In nitrogen metabolism arginine, praline, ammonium, threonine appeared to have important role in re growth of shoot Saponin metabolism was studied in relation to growth and new ginsenosides were found but physiological role of saponin was not clearly elucidated yet Endogenous growth regulators were reported and various erogenous growth regulators were studied for growth stimulation. short stem and seed pruning etc. Various physiological diseases were investigated for cause and control measures were established. Water culture was little studied Forest culture was studied but not retched the recommendable stage Drip irrigation straw mulching. seasonal shading and soil preparation method including soil fertility adjustment were established for practical application. Shading materials completely changed to polyethylene net and materials of polymers The research on ginseng cultivation in paddy field opened the way to establish the permanent ginseng cultivation plantation Ginseng harvester and seeder were developed in the late 1950s. Transplanted and many other machines were developed in the early 1990s. In ginseng breeding only pure line selection was of practical significance several verities were at the stage of seed propagation at ginseng plantations. Mutation breeding (${\gamma}$-ray. X-ray chemicals) was not successful. The research on plantlet formation through tissue culture was a little progressed but still far behind to vegetative propagation. Disease control research was concentrated in the isolation and identification of pathogans. their ecological charactelistics and biological control and soil humigation. Potato root rot nematodes was found and control method was established. Insect and small animal control research was greatly progresses in identification, ecological investigation, and ecological and physical control. Weed control was less important due to the development of mulching method of ridge and ditch. Quality factors of raw ginseng in relation to red ginseng process were extensively studied. Traditional quality measures were elucidated in accordance with modern analytical chemistry resulting in the importance of peptides in the centrat part rather than ginsenosides For large root production growth promoting rootzone micrcorganisms (PGPRM) were isolated and active compounds were identified. Field test on PGPRM was on going. Varictus methods formality improvement through cultivation were developed. Management research of ginseng production was rare Extension was active throuch official and private organizations and through workshop for the extension specialists, and direct lectures to grower's. Extension services made the researcher to understand the existing problems at grower's fields. Research environment for ginseng production was in prime time only for three years when Korea Ginseng Research Institute was established then gradually aggravated.
To provide data necessary for effectively applying the HACCP system by understanding the current application condition of HACCP system and satisfaction level of the dietician in elementary schools, a mail-in survey was conducted on dieticians serving for 227 elementary schools applying HACCP system in Kyungsangbuk-Do since November 1, 2001 to December 20, 2001. 83.5% of the subjected schools were conducting more than 50% of HACCP cooking process management, and the level of cooking process management displayed significant relevance according to the number of dieticians serving the school meals. The area that was not well conducted in the field of HACCP system was proven to be water examination(94.0%), inspection on self-sanitation of cooks prior to cooking(90.6%), and maintenance of dry kitchen floor(l4.8%). The reason why the above areas are not well conducted was because of lack of time due to over workloads. Subjective dieticians had pointed out improvement of sanitary concept(58.1%) and improvement of self-sanitation (28.8%) as benefits of applying HACCP. 21.2% of the subjective dieticians were satisfied with application HACCP and 35.2% were dissatisfied with applying HACCP. In case of which the duration of applying the HACCP was longer than one year and in case of higher rate of HACCP cooking process management and longer work experience of the dieticians, the level of satisfaction was proven to be significantly higher. The most difficult things to follow in important management categories according to the features of dietitian work and work experience were food distribution of CCP7 step and maintenance of optimum temperature(70.7%). Subjective dieticians had pointed out insufficient facility or environment and lack of inspection equipments in order regarding problems of applying HACCP. Also in the level of necessity of improvement categories in applying HACCP, dieticians had replied that facility and equipment improvement was mostly needed. Due to the induction of HACCP system in school meals, comparatively well cooking process management is being conducted, and I believe it could contribute in securing safety and quality improvement of school meal by improving the sanitation concept of the dieticians. However, the satisfaction level of dieticians are rather low and there are many difficulties in maintaining optimum temperature in the process of food distribution and transportation process. Also, lack of facilities and environment, lack of inspection equipments and etc are pointed out as problems of inducing HACCP. Thus, to settle HACCP system, it is believed that brave investment must be preceded.
