  • Purpose: Despite the well-known public health benefits of vaccination, increasing public concern about the safety of childhood vaccinations has led some parents to refuse or hesitate having their children immunized. The purpose of this study was to identify the subjectivity of parents toward refusal of childhood vaccination. Methods: Q-methodology, in which subjective viewpoints are explored and analyzed using a combination of quantitative and qualitative techniques, was used. Thirty-five participants were asked to rank 42 statements on diverse issues of childhood vaccination according to a continuous 9-point scale ranging from -4 for strongly disagree to +4 for strongly agree. Collected data was analyzed using the PC-QUANAL program. Results: The results revealed three discrete groups of parents in the refusal of children's immunization: type I, distrust; type II, concern about side effects, and type III, belief that vaccinations are unnecessary. Conclusion: Special nurse counselors who can provide correct information about vaccination based on the three types should be part of the government policy. Customized education programs to shift viewpoints should be also redeveloped according to the results in this study.

  • As the intelligent vehicle market continues to develop relevant technologies and services for consumers, it is necessary to understand the characteristics of potential consumers. The purpose of this study is to identify and understand the types of potential consumers of intelligent vehicle using the Q-methodology. A Q-frame was constructed using thirty six statements from intelligent vehicle related literature concerning core technology, technology acceptance and personal consumption value, legal system and policy and social awareness. Q-sorting and in-depth interviews were conducted using thirty nine P-samples snowballed. Analysis produced four types of potential consumers for intelligent vehicle: Smart Car Consumer, Reasonable Consumer, Safety Car Consumer, and Smart Device Consumer. Smart Car Consumer value the vehicle capability of intelligent vehicle as most important while Reasonable Consumer focus upon the economics of intelligent vehicle. Safety Car Consumer recognize the safety of intelligent vehicle as most important while Smart Device Consumer highly value the IT functions provided by intelligent vehicles. Across these four different types of consumers, preventing injuries of intelligent vehicle drivers turned out to be the most common critical factor in assessing intelligent vehicle. Implications for the intelligent vehicle market is discussed at the end with further studies needed.

  • This study applied Flipped Learning teaching and learning method to Basics Cooking Practice Subject using YouTube. The purpose of this study is to investigate whether the curriculum is properly progressing by grasping the effects of before and after learning and analyzing learners' subjectivity through the learning process. The investigation period was conducted from August 01, 2020 to September 10, 2020. According to the research design of Q Methodology, it was divided into five stages: Q sample selection, P sample selection, Q sorting, coding and recruiting, conclusion and discussion. As a result of the analysis, the first type (N=5): Prior Learning effect, the second type (N=7): Simulation practice effect, and the third type (N=3): self-efficacy effect. As a result, by applying the flipped learning teaching method of the Basics Cooking Practice Subject using YouTube, positive effects such as inducing interest in the class and increasing confidence were found in active learners, but some learners lacked understanding of the system of the class operation method. However, the lack of number of training sessions compared to other subjects is considered to be a solution to be solved later.

Also, among the respondents of , it was found that the distribution of 'high' was higher for the level of corruption in our society, and the distribution of 'medium' for and was found in the case of the respondents with high factor weight. The overall explanatory power was high at 62.11%, and based on the series of results, a hypothesis could be found that 'the perception of corruption differs according to the characteristics of the work of public officials'. By the results, the commonly recognized terms for 'corruption' were 'politician/politician' and 'solicitation'. Therefore, based on a series of results, this study is expected to be the 'Priming' for finding ways to move toward a more transparent society by diagnosing and reflecting on the thoughts of corruption in our society once again.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify structural patterns in the subjectivity of Taegyo in pregnant woman and to provide a basis for nursing interventions. Thirty pregrant women were the subjects of this study. They were in the gestation period of pregnancy between 12 weeks to five days post partum and they lived in the city of Taejon. The research method employed Q-methodology which is based on self-psychology and abductive logics. The results revealed three different types of the Taegyo ; 1) Peaceful mind type, listening to music and appreciation of art for quietness of mind and also the support and concern of husband. 2) Self control type, recognizes herself as a pregrant woman and trys to do her works spontaneously and also adapt herself to changing of circumstances. 3) Dependent oriented type, needs absolute help from the surroundings under the specific condition of pregnancy. This results show that investigating the specific experience, characteristic and structure of the Taegyo of a pregnant woman can be used as a part of the nursing assessment and also provides useful basic data of nursing interventions during pregnancy.

  • This paper deals with the characteristic analysis & optimum design of Permanent Magnet Assisted Synchronous Reluctance Motor(PMASynRM) for Premium Efficiency Performance. The focus of this paper is characteristic analysis of d and q-axis inductances and torque according to magnetizing quantity of interior permanent magnet for PMASynRM. The d and q-axis current component ratios, load angles of a PMASynRM are investigated quantitatively on the basis of the proposed analysis method and the experimental test. Comparisons are given with output characteristic curves of PMASynRM and those according to the rated wattage in PMASynRM, respectively. And optimum design of PMASynRM is performed by Response Surface Methodology(RSM).

  • Two sub-standies were conducted to analyze attachment related variables in infants and characteristics of maternal behavior. The first study investigated the relationships among attachment related variables in infants. The sample consisted of 58 pairs of 11- to 13- months-old infants and their mothers. A significant relationship was found among attachment security, infant temperament and maternal sensitivity. There were differences between security scores of the easy and difficult infants. Securely attached infants were rated as easier temperamentally than insecurely attached infants. The second study analyze maternal behavior characteristics. Subjects were this 30 mothers whose children were between the ages of 2 months and 24 months. The results identified four types of maternal behaviors. This study suggests different method of assessing subjective attributes of individuals by introducing Q-methods to the field of child development.
