The three job status showed significant differences in 5 shopping orientations(sex role oriented, fashion conscious, credit oriented, catalog oriented, and value oriented). Even after controlling the effect of income and education level, significant differences were noticed in 4 shopping orientations, the exception being value conscious. Brand, price, and country of origin among the job status groups also showed significant differences in results for purchase criteria.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships between life style and clothing purchase intention and purchase criteria in internet shopping-mall of male and female consumers. The subjects were 275 internet users (male: 164, female: 111). The results of the study were as follows. Five factors of life style derived by factor analysis:'Digital Orientation','Economy Orientation','Positive Activity','Fun Orientation', and'Home Orientation'. The dress types to be based on the purchase intention in internet shopping-mall was classified into four dimensions by factor analysis: Casual Wears & Single Item Clothes','Formal Wears','Miscellaneous Goods', and'Underwears & Night Clothes'. Internet users showed relatively high purchase intention in casual wears & single item clothes and miscellaneous goods. Clothing purchase intention in internet shopping correlated significantly with home orientation in males, and with digital orientation in females. Subjects high in fun orientation placed importance on design as clothing purchase criteria. Males high in positive activity placed importance on price, color, sewing, brand, and wearing appearance. Females high in digital orientation believed design, color, material, refundment condition, and fashionability were important as purchase criteria. The level of digital orientation of dress purchasers in internet shopping-mall was higher than that of non-purchasers in case of males, and that of fun orientation was higher than that of non-purchasers in case of females. The present findings suggest that life style such as digital orientation and home orientation appeared to be important in predicting the clothing purchase intention in internet shopping mall.

Cosmetic purchase behavior consisted of variables such as purchase frequency, purchase amount, place of purchase, purchase reason, reason for using cosmetics, purchase propensity, degree of using information source, and selection criteria. A survey was conducted with 308 women between the ages 20 and 29 from December 5th to 10th 2016. Data collected from the respondents through an Internet survey were analyzed using descriptive statistics, factor analyses, cluster analysis, analyses of variance and chi-square tests. Four consumption value dimensions emerged that were termed emotional, differentiated individuality-pursuing, functional and social value. The respondents were classified into three groups(emotional consumer group, functional consumer group, active consumer group) by cluster analysis using four dimensions of consumption value. The results of the analyses of variance and chi-square tests showed significant differences in purchase frequency, place of purchase, purchase reason, reason for using cosmetics, degree of using information source and selection criteria among groups classified by consumption value. However, there were no differences in purchase amount and purchase propensity among them.

Independent variables are age, consumer's knowledge and involvement about the bedding materials. This study can contribute for bedding product marketing strategies and design development. We used questionnaires that were distributed to 500 females aged in 20s to 50s, using stratified sampling method. Only 457 reliable questionnaires were selected for statistical analysis. Data were analyzed statistically through frequencies, paired t-test, ANOVA, Dunnett T3, Chi-test, using SPSS (Version 12.0). The results of this study are as follows. The types of bedroom was significantly associated with age variables. Women in 20's to 30's were using the mixture of Ondol and bed(chimdaie), while 40's to 50's women were using bed for all their rooms. The usage of filling material for the comforter(ibul) was significantly associated with the age group. 20's to 30's age group preferred synthetic fibers for the filling, while 40 to 50's women preferred cotton fibers. Generally, the most of people used quilted comforter and they used cotton material as filling materials of comforters. As to purchase behavior, the most frequent place of purchase was specialty store of bedding products, and the highest percentage of motivation for purchase was "deformation after the use/throwing away". Purchase motivation for bedding was related with the age variable and the clusters based on the knowledge of bedding materials. We analysed the comparison test purchase criteria and satisfaction. In all attributes except brand image, people evaluated lower in satisfaction after purchase than in criteria before purchase.
