Living Lab is being introduced and applied as an innovation model driven by social entities (residents, users, etc.) and as an innovation place based on local and field. This study analyzed three living lab cases of Bukchon IoT living lab, Seong-Daegol energy transition living lab, and Daejeon Geonneoyu project, which were designated as 'Living Lab' to solve local problems. We analyzed the local problem, the problem solving goal, the role of each participant and the subject, the living lab promotion system, the significance in each case. In addition, the types and characteristics of living labs were elucidated and future development plans were discussed. The result is as follow. First, each case has a tendency to link science technology and ICT with local problem solving though there is a difference between the technologies used. Second, local residents played a leading role in the whole living lab process from problem identification to technical experimentation, diffusion and application. Third, the role of the intermediaries commonly played an important role in the operation of the living lab. Last but not least, each case has different types of living lab. Bukchon IoT living lab being operated as a project by the government / municipality to create a living lab activity-base or to support actors' activities. On the other hand, the Seong-Daegol energy transition living lab and Daejeon Geonneoyu project were conducted by the civil society itself to define problems and explore technologies in order to solve local problems.
RFID that provide automatic identification by reading a tag attached to material through radio frequency without direct touch has some specification, such as rapid identification, long distance identification and penetration, so it is being used for distribution, transportation and safety by using the frequency of 125KHz, 134KHz, 13.56MHz, 433.92MHz, 900MHz, and 2.45GHz. Also it is one of main part of Ubiquitous that means connecting to net-work any time and any place they want. RFID is expected to be new growth industry worldwide, so Korean government think it as prospective field and promote research project and exhibition business program to linked with industry effectively. RFID could be used for access control of person and vehicle according to section and for personal certify with password. RFID can provide more confident security than magnetic card, so it could be used to prevent forgery of register card, passport and the others. Active RFID could be used for protecting operation service using it's long distance date transmission by application with positioning system. And RFID's identification and tracking function can provide effective visitor management through visitor's register, personal identification, position check and can control visitor's movement in the secure area without their approval. Also RFID can make possible of the efficient management and prevention of loss of carrying equipments and others. RFID could be applied to copying machine to manager and control it's user, copying quantity and It could provide some function such as observation of copy content, access control of user. RFID tag adhered to small storage device prevent carrying out of item using the position tracking function and control carrying-in and carrying-out of material efficiently. magnetic card and smart card have been doing good job in identification and control of person, but RFID can do above functions. RFID is very useful device but we should consider the prevention of privacy during its application.
The Train Diagnostic and Control System(TDCS) has been equipped on the modern Metro Vehicle, Locomotive and High Speed Train. The main purpose of this system is to support the identification of train status by real-time, the fast action against such failure events during revenue service and the fast convenient maintenance processes. Some of newest TCMS, a kind of control and monitoring system, has participated in the main control functions such as pantograph up and down, powering and braking command and so on. But these kind of control functions of the high speed train which has the operating speed over 300km/h are conducted by the train electrical logic circuits. The KTX-I and KTX-II - the local high speed train, are the typical example. The next generation TDCS for the ongoing project of distributed high speed train(HEMU) is designing with the target to increase main train control functions, to increase the reliability/avalibility and to increase the convenient driving. This paper introduces the overall configurations and functions of the new generation TDCS.

As construction projects become getting bigger and complicated, the importance of resource management in construction sites is to be emphasized all the more than ever, but the reality is now gone far away leaving data filing and management dependent on the hands of in-field managers, which gives rise to a variety of problems such as decreased productivity. The manually-dependent data management makes it hard to acquire data and information needed for projects both quickly and correctly with abundant cost and endeavor by accumulating the related data, and efficient project management, being exemplified by such practical applications as Bar-code, RFID(Radio Frequency Identification), GPS(Global Positioning System), PDA(Personal Digital Assistants), USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network) and DAT(Data Acquisition Technology). In this context literature survey is made theoretically, taken into account 14 classification of construction works, 31 types of work classification in CIS, Masterformat as follows;

The project objectives, called critical-to-quality (CTQs) in six sigma, should be defined to faithfully reflect the customer requirements. The identification of such a set of CTQs, which is currently done using brainstorming in practice, is a challenging task. Notwithstanding the rapid growth of the six sigma literature, development of a systematic procedure for identifying CTQs has scarcely been addressed. This paper proposes a systematic method for generating CTQ candidates based on the given voice of the customer in the DFSS/C (Design for Six Sigma / Commercial) context. By providing a step-by-step procedure, the proposed method ensures that all the important CTQ candidates are identified and subjective judgments are minimally required. Hence, the shortcomings associated with the existing practice based on brainstorming can be effectively overcome. The unique characteristics of the proposed method are also demonstrated via a case study.

The cost-effective reduction of greenhouse gas(GHG) emission to avert the most severe impacts of climate change remains one of the widely accepted priorities for global action. In order to facilitate cost-effective abatement strategies, the Kyoto Protocol introduced three mechanisms, or flexible instruments, the Emissions Trading(ET), the Joint Implementation(JI) and the Clean Development Mechanism(CDM). The CDM enables Annex I countries to the Kyoto Protocol to partially meet cost-effectively their emission reduction commitments by undertaking GHG mitigation Projects in developing countries, which do not have any GHG abatement obligations and where the emission reductions are cheaper. One of the major barriers hampering the wide spread implementation of CDM is the high transaction costs associated with the initial identification of promising CDM projects. This paper presents development of a pre-validation program of CDM. The developed program may provide a useful aid to potential investors and project developers as a supportive pre-evaluation tool, and may become an effective tool for the promotion of renewable energy and fuel switching projects.

In both Korea and the U.S., science education leaders and specialists insist that there is a shortage of curricula to address the new national science education guidelines in support of reform. This paper addresses development of new curricula for science education reform in the hopes of facilitating further development of guideline-based curricula. We examine Korean and U.S. thematic-based (Korean Science Field Trip at Cultural Sites Program and U.S. Graduate Teaching Fellows in K-12 Education) and project-centered (Korean Teachers for Exciting Science and U.S. Foundational Approaches in Science Teaching Program) programs. Using the criteria of rationale for curriculum, content and scope, processes of implementation, and assessment strategies, we identify the curricular components that are common across four successful secondary science programs and determine which of these components address the national guidelines. Our findings indicate that common components of these four programs meet the expectations of the science guidelines being used to revamp science education in both countries. Therefore, these programs not only engage secondary students and teachers in practicing successful science education, but also lead to successful science education practices that can be incorporated in the future development of curriculum to support secondary science reform.
Failures of super large projects like IT Upgrade of Shinhan Financial Group can be a heavy blow not only to the company but even to the national economy. Research on the practices of risk management in those projects will provide invaluable lessons, enhancing capabilities and chances of successfully executing mission critical projects of the companies and the national economy as a whole. This paper analyzes the risk management of the Core Systems Reconstruction which was the most critical component of IT Upgrade. The analysis covers risk management plans, and identification and evolution, and control and monitoring of risk factors. This study confirms the major results of previous research on risk management in Korea. However, the analysis found as well some discrepancies of practices from the previous research results. This research also tracked the trajectories of evolution of risk factors and management. In particular, in depth analysis of control and monitoring is the first research in Korea on the "management" of risks in IT projects. The result of this research is expected to be a useful guide for theory development and practices of risk management in the future.

The key role in safety management is to identify any possible hazard before it occurs by identifying any possible risk factors which are critical to risk assessment. It is well known that falsework (temporary facilities) in construction projects is fundamentally important. This planning/assessment process is considered to be tedious and requires a lot of attention due to the following reasons: firstly, the installation and dismantling of those facilities are one of the high risk activities in the job sites. Secondly, temporary facilities are generally not clearly delineated on the building drawings. Therefore, it is our strong belief that safety tools have to be simple and convenient enough for the jobsite people to manage them easily and be flexible for any occasions to be occurred at various degrees. In order to develop a safety identification system of temporary facilities, this research utilizes the BIM technology in retrieving important information by importing data from BIM models and use it in the safety planning stage.
