오존전량 및 대류권 오존 프로파일 산출을 위한 지상관측 MAX-DOAS 원시자료 기반의 최적추정(Optimal Estimation) 기술 (Optimal Estimation (OE) Technique to Retrieve the Ozone Column and Tropospheric Ozone Profile Based on Ground-based MAX-DOAS Measurement)

  • 본 연구에서는 한반도 서울의 연세대학교에서 Multi-Axis Differential Optical Absorption Spectroscopy(MAX-DOAS)장비로부터 산출된 원시자료를 이용하여 처음으로 최적추정(Optimal Estimation; OE)을 사용하여 오존전량 및 오존의 대류권 프로파일을 산출하였다. 오존전량 및 오존의 대류권 프로파일을 산출하기 위하여 최적추정을 통하여 MAX-DOAS자료의 광학두께 피팅을 수행하였다. 광학두께 피팅은 MAX-DOAS 장비로부터 각각의 기기 고도각별로 관측된 값을 천정각에서 관측된 값으로 나누어 계산된 자료를 통하여 수행하였다. 오존전량은 2017년 5월 23일 오전(08:13)과 오후(17:55)에 각각 375.4와 412.6 DU로 산출되었다. 오존의 대류권 프로파일(<10 km)은참값 오존존데와 비교하여 약 5% 이내의 오차로 산출되었다. 하지만 10 km 이상의 높은 고도에서는 산출 에러가 커져 10% 이상 과대추정 하는 것으로 산출되었다. MAX-DOAS 자료의 스펙트럼 피팅에 의한 오차는 오전과 오후에 각각 16.8%와 19.1%로 계산되었다. 본 연구에서 제시한 방법은 지상관측 기반의 초분광 UV 센서를 이용하여 오존전량과 대류권 오존 프로파일을 산출하는데 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.

ASTM 규격에 따른 민감화물 수송용 컨테이너 화차의 진동 특성에 관한 기초 연구 (A Fundamental Study on Vibration Characteristics of Container Car for Sensitive Cargo Transportation according to ASTM D-4169)

  • 민감 상품의 화물 운송 중 발생하는 진동 및 충격의 저감을 위하여 본 연구에서는 실제 트럭과 화차에 진동센서가 부착된 컨테이너를 이용하여 운송 경로에 따른 진동이력을 측정하였다. 컨테이너 내부 바닥 2개소에 3축 방향(길이, 횡, 수직 방향)으로 가속도센서를 부착하여 트럭운송 구간(아산-의왕)과 화물열차 운송 구간(의왕-부산)에 대하여 진동이력을 측정하였다. ASTM D-4169에서 제안된 철도 진동 프로파일(0.29Grms)은 트럭 진동 프로파일(0.54Grms) 대비 약 50% 수준으로 낮다. 국내 화물 컨테이너 운송 동안 ASTM D-4169에 준한 진동 프로파일과 비교한 결과는 다음과 같다. 트럭 운송 구간에서의 길이방향과 횡 방향 진동 수준은 모두 ASTM의 트럭운송 진동 프로파일보다 길이방향 약 16%, 횡 방향 약 33% 수준으로 전반적으로 낮게 나타난 반면에, 수직방향 진동은 4~15Hz와 60Hz 이상 범위에서 ASTM의 트럭운송 진동 프로파일을 부분적으로 초과하였다. 화물열차 진동 측정이력은 도로와 유사하며, 길이방향과 횡방향의 진동측정이력은 ASTM D-4169의 철도 진동 프로파일보다 낮으며, 반대로 수직방향의 이력은 30Hz이상 범위에서 초과하였다.

  • Generally optical components are fabricated by grinding, lapping and polishing processes. Those processes take long time to obtain optical high surface quality. In the case of large optical components, the on-machine measurement is strongly recommended because the workpiece is fragile and difficult to set up for fabricating and measuring. This paper is concerned about a swing-arm mechanism which can be used for on-machine measurement of a surface profile with a sensing probe end-effect, and also for grinding or lapping the surface with a corresponding tool. The measuring accuracy and uncertainty using a swing arm type profilometer have been studied. The experimental results show that this method is useful specially in lapping process with the accuracy of $5{\mu}m$. Those inspection data are provided for correcting the residual figuring error in next processes.

  • The present experimental study is focused on the application of multi-point simultaneous measurement by PIV(Particle Image Velocimetry) to rotor-stator region within centrifugal turbine pump. Six different kinds of rpm(120, 500, 1000, 1500, 2000 and 2500) are selected as experimental condition. Optimized cross correlation identification to obtain velocity vectors is implemented by direct calculation of correlation coefficients. Fine optical setup deeply concerned with PIV performance is arranged for accurate PIV measurement of high-speed complex flow. The instantaneous and time-mean velocity distribution and velocity profile are represented quantitatively at the rotor and stator region.

  • When the trailing edge and leading edge of an airfoil contour of high pressure compressor blades are measured, there exists a measurement error due to the size of the probe stylus ball diameter. In the paper an experimental study is provided to determine the optimum diameter of the probe stylus in inspecting the airfoil of the high pressure compressor blade. The measurement and analysis procedure suggested in this paper will be helpful to those who are involved in measuring and inspecting various types of blades.

  • This paper presents an enhanced method of slit beam projection intended for the rapid measurement of 3-dimensional surface profiles of dies and molds. Special emphasis is given to optimizing the design of optical system so that the measuring accuracy can be maximized by adopting two-plane camera calibration together with sub-pixel image processing techniques. Finally, several measurement examples are discussed to demonstrate that an actual measuring accuracy of $\pm$ 0.2 mm can be achieved over the measuring range of 500 mm{\times}300mm{\times}200mm$.

  • The light pattern reflected from a machined surface contains some information like roughness and profile on the projected surface as expected in the Beckmann-Spizzichino model. In applying the theory into a real reliable measuring device, many parameters such as incident light power, wave length, spot size should be kept a constant optical value. However, the reflected light power is likely to change with the environmental noise, the variations of the light source, the reflectivity of the surface, etc. even though the incident light power is constant. In this study, a method for adjusting the incident light power to keep the reflected light power projected on a CMOS image sensor constant was proposed and a simple adjustment algorithm based on PI digital control was examined. Experiments verified that the proposed method made the surface roughness measurement better and more reliable even under variations of the height of light source.

  • The tool wear that is developed by long-term machining in mold manufacturing with machining center makes a severe influence to the accuracy and the surface roughness. In this reason, tool-wear supervising system which has guaranteed high accuracy and high speed is needed to improve the measurement quality. Touching probe and touch sensor are widely used to measure the tool profile at on-machine measurement. In this paper, using the newly developed electric touch point measuring system, the Automatic Tool Compensation System is developed to correct the error of tool diameter resulted from the wear, and the operating method of this system is also provided.

  • This paper presents a straightness measurement system for flat and long workpieces. The measurement system consists of a laser optical unit, a CCD camera and processing system, and a carrier system with a stylus. The carrier system accompanies the stylus, which displaces a retroreflector along the surface profile. The optical unit is used to optically amplify the displacement of retroreflector. The CCD camera and processing system finally identifies the vertical displacement of the stylus unit. The developed system is applied to two surfaces: ground surface and LM guide surface. The experimental results show that the developed system can measure the straightness of flat surfaces within sub-micron error.
