In this paper, the CLQR(Constrained LQR) controller, which considers the actuator saturation in a cross-product term of a given performance index for an automotive active suspension control has been proposed. The effects of actuator saturations have been reflected directly in the states by using the linear relation between the control input and states. The method proposed here is more effective and intuitive compared with the conventional schemes. The CLQR has been applied to designing an automotive active suspension control system to verify its effectiveness and practical aspects.

This study aims to analyze the differences of ginseng product consumers and segment Korean fresh ginseng and red ginseng root markets based on attributes for the purchase. As a result of analyzing survey data, the red ginseng root consumers had different aspects from fresh ginseng consumers. According to the result of cluster analysis, the fresh ginseng consumers were subdivided into three segments (safety-oriented consumption cluster, label centered consumption cluster, and high involvement consumption cluster), while the red ginseng root consumers were subdivided into four segments (convenience-oriented consumption cluster, high involvement consumption cluster, raw material's safety-oriented cluster, and raw material's information importance cluster). ANOVA and Crosstab were conducted to investigate characteristics of each cluster.

In this study, the importance of failure analysis on large ring forged products was assessed and the process and methodology were introduced. Failure analysis case study of the large ring forged steel product with approximately 10 mm long internal crack found by non-destructive test (NDT) was presented. The micrographic and fractographic observations and the verifying tests were conducted on the cracked specimen to identify the possible metallurgical reason for the defects, and the metallurgical aspects of internal crack formation were discussed.

This study discussed extensively the CD-ROM evaluation criteria that are necessary for library and information center to acquire the CD-ROM products. The evaluation criteria discussed in previous studies are divided into managerial and technical aspects, and especially the search software and user interface catagories in the technical aspect are investigated separately. Finally the basic checklist is suggested for the evaluation of CD-ROM product in appendix.

Industrial Technology Development Program enables the recipient to set up technology infrastructure and to facilitate technology diffusion. In return, government charges royalty from the program recipient. However, the current royalty system is not in the effective form. This study analyzes the various aspects of royalty collection methods applied to the Industrial Technology Development Program and recommend the following: (1) employ the combination of fixed amount royalty and running royalty with predetermined portion of revenue generated, (2) adjust the royalty collection duration by applying product life cycle, and (3) devise new program to link extra-gain from royalty collection with commercialization and other means to increase the effectiveness of research and development activities.

The cobalt-substituted polyoxotungstate [(CoPW11O39)5-] has been used as a catalyst in olefin epoxidation and alkane hydroxylation reactions. The epoxidation of olefins by iodosylbenzene in CH3CN yielded epoxides predominantly with trace amounts of allylic oxidation products. cis-Stilbene was streoselectively oxidized to cis-stilbene oxide with small amounts of trans-stilbene oxide and benzaldehyde formation. The epoxidation of carbamazepine (CBZ) by potassium monopersulfate in aqueous solution gave the corresponding CBZ 10,11-oxide product. Other transition metal-substituted polyoxotungstates (M=Mn2+, Fe2+, Ni2+, and Cu2+) were inactive in the CBZ epoxidation reaction. The cobalt-substituted polyoxotungstate also catalyzed the oxidation of alkanes with m-chloroperbenzoic acid to give the corresponding alcohols and ketones. The presence of CH2Br2 in the hydroxylation of cyclohexane afforded the formation of bromocyclohexane, suggesting the participation of cyclohexyl radical. In the 18O-labeled water experiment, there was no incorporation of 18O into the cyclohexanol product when the hydroxylation of cyclohexane by MCPBA was carried out in the presence of H218O. Some mechanistic aspects are discussed as well.

Pricing, as one of the most important aspects of a business, should be taken seriously. Whatever affects a company's pricing system tends to affect its profits and losses as well. Currently, many manufacturing companies fix product prices manually by members of an organization's management team. However, due to the imperfect nature of humans, an extremely low or high price may be fixed, which is detrimental to the company in either case. This paper proposes the development of a fuzzy-based price expert system (Expert Fuzzy Price (EFP)) for manufacturing companies. This system will be able to recommend appropriate prices for products in manufacturing companies based on four major pricing strategic goals, namely: Product Demand, Price Skimming, Competition Price, and Target population.

On this study, injection molding product of rectangular tray structure with thickness 0.25mm and aspect ratio(length/thickness) approximately 150 conducted. Technical aspects were reviewed on mold-die design and injection molding conditions. To have a thin-membraned plastic part, short-shot, shrinkage, twist, whitening and flash problems were considered and resolved. After measuring products, validity of this study and future improvement were discussed.
