Exploring the Growth Process Types of Social Welfare Organizations in Korea - Focusing on Social Welfare Corporations Operating Social Welfare Facilities - (사회복지조직의 조직성장유형에 관한 탐색적 연구 - 시설운영 사회복지법인을 중심으로 -)

  • This study analyzed the growth process types of social welfare corporations that have operated social welfare facilities after the Korean War and studied the methods of their organizational management. A number of 20 participants composed of the original founders, directors, and chief directors of social welfare corporations that have been established for more than 40 years were selected for in-depth interviews. The researcher had procedures of in-depth interviews with 20 participants, relevant literature reviews, conformation of the research results by participants and peer reviews. There were 169 concepts, 49 sub-categories, and 21 categories revealed by applying the grounded theory method of Strauss and Corbin. The organizational growth types were categorized into the three patterns: familism practicing type, community changing guidance type and the realization of a just society leading types. The results from the research work will provide understanding the original characteristics of social welfare corporations in Korea, building the theory for the growth process types of social welfare corporations and implicating the practice of social welfare organizational management.

Realization of Waveguide Filter Using 3D Printing and Electroplating Process (3D 프린팅과 도금 공정을 이용한 도파관 필터 구현)

  • In this paper, the waveguide filter is realized by using the 3D printing and electroplating process. The waveguide filter is consisted of the resonator and the inductive window. The resonator is made small by putting vertical pillar inside the cavity. In case of in/output, the pin of SMA connector is connected to the pillar using the tapped-line method. Designed filter has the volume of 24.0 x 58.0 x 38.0 mm3 that is about 91% reduced compared to general cavity filter. Designed filter is modeled divided into upper part that has the inductive window and lower part that has the pillar. Printed filter by the ABS plastic is plated with 10㎛ thick copper over nickel electrodes. Fabricated filter is measured with the center frequency of 2.397GHz and bandwidth of 4.76%. Also, the insertion loss of filter has 0.15dB and return loss is shown under the 20dB. Suggested waveguide filter with pillar and manufacturing process allows the waveguide devices to be made small, lightweight, and low-cost and can be applied to various RF system.

  • Urban area has caused decline of commercial function and infrastructure because of unorganized urban development, and urban regeneration projects have appeared since 2000s in order to solve urban problems. Because urban regeneration projects have a complexation of various use, the complicated business process and unsystematic conduction work, project stakeholders are suffering from problem in conducting project. Therefore, this study suggested the necessity of business system for urban regeneration projects with analyzing situations and stakeholders. Also, this study classified business information through development of BPS in order to make information system of business process in the urban regeneration project and evaluated it after realization for information system based on BPS of urban regeneration projects. Project stakeholders will be systematically provided information about urban regeneration projects through this system and it is expected to accomplish urban regeneration projects effectively.

  • Light rail transit(LRT) is a public transportation and mainly has an automatic driverless operation system. LRT project is a large scaled project which a construction cost is tens of billions of won per km. Systems engineering(SE) is an interdisciplinary approach and means to enable realization of successful systems. In this paper, we propose the systems engineering processes and their outputs list for the LRT project. And then, we present template and sample case of process output. We also present a case which carried out SE process by SE tool.

  • The purpose of this study was to extract of Sub-elements of technological communication skills and to construct of a system model. In order to achieve the goal of the study, it was carried out in two steps: (1)Extraction sub-elements and definitions of technological communication skills, (2)Development of a system model of technological communication skills. Obtained conclusions by the process of this research were as follows. First, sub-elements of the technological communication skills were extracted and they were images, sketches, flowcharts, drawings, prototyping, symbols tables graphs and presentations. Second, using the 'technological communication tools' based on the "collaborative activities in online and offline', technological communication skills were defined as communication skills to be raised through the process of 'Idea through the Communication', 'Realization through the Communication', 'Wrap up through the Communication'. Third, technological communication skills were described as the system, in which 'Idea through the Communication(images, sketches, flowcharts)', 'Realization through the Communication(design, prototyping)', 'Wrap up through the Communication(symbol table graph, presentation)' were collaboratively activated. Fourth, checking tool for the technological communication skills was developed, based on checking tool for the existing communication skills and system model for technological communication skills. And it was improved by the expert validity test.

  • The City-to-City cooperation(C2C) in Korea has been made by economic needs based on industrial conditions. However, now it is necessary to cover environmental and social aspects as well as economic in order to respond to the realization of the international value, the domestic demands, and the changing comprehensive conditions. In particular, inter city cooperation is important because the efforts for solving environmental problems are impossible individually in each local government. In Korea, C2C have promoted in various ways by complex interests between cities. C2C build a creative environment by catalysis in the process of exchanges between different cities. And its purpose and the process and results appeared in environmental, social and economic sustainability of the green city. Therefore, this study analyze the C2C cases in Korea by pursuing value types. The purpose of this study is awaken to the importance of C2C and seek a direction for its successful realization and activation. The result of this study can be a guide for the success of C2C.

Independence of Latin America and the Role of Afro-Ibero America: Mainly with Cimarron's Resistance and Comuneros Revolution (라틴아메리카의 독립과 이베로-아프로-아메리카 공동체의 역할)

  • Meantime there has been a tendency to keep silent about the role of Afro-Ibero America Diaspora which contributed to the spirit of independence and the realization of country foundation ideology in the official history of Latin America. In some countries, although the collective resistance of Afro-Ibero America Diaspora, which intended to establish a liberal and equal society resisting against slavery and colonization system, was the foundation of independence and the establishment of a new country, their contribution has been difficult to leave an official trace in Caucasian criollo-centered history system. Along with the development of Hcienda in 17th Century, black slaves' collective resistance was developed mainly with el Virreinato de la Nueva Granada, the center of the Independence movement of Brazil and South America. The black people who escaped resisting against slavery formed communities and developed organized activities through various politics and social activities. However, such communities were mostly dispersed or destroyed by the colonial power, and the collective resistance of Afro-Ibero America Diaspora lost life. On the other side, in case of Colombia, a community of escaped black slaves which was formed in the early 17th Century is solely remaining in Latin America, moreover, Afro-Ibero America Diaspora's struggle for liberty and equality became the foundation for Comuneros revolution and Independence movement in the late 18th Century. Comuneros revolution which occurred in 1781 awoke self-awareness of liberty and equality, and became an ideological base for independence movement based on revolutional republicanism and philosophy of enlightenment. It is considered that South America's independence movement lead by $Sim{\acute{o}}n$ Boívar was a history that could not have started without historical base of Afro-Ibero America Diaspora's resistance against colonization system. Therefore, this study intends to discuss the role and achievement of Afro-Ibero America Diaspora in the process of independence of Latin America mainly with Colombia, which is the center of Independence movement of South America. Through this process, this study intends to revaluate historical contribution of Afro-Ibero America which has been relatively neglected meanwhile in the process of independence and the establishment of country.

A Study on the Relationship between Functional and Representational Aspects of Architectural Concepts - Focused on the WLVAE analysis of Fujimoto Sou's House N - (건축 개념의 기능적 측면과 표현적 측면의 관계에 관한 연구 - 후지모토 소우의 House N에 대한 WLVAE 분석을 중심으로 -)

  • In modern architecture, the concept is the central axis of the design process, but it is not yet a building. The concept is modified in the process of realization because it captures only a part of reality. However, in the works of some Japanese architects, the concept seems to have become almost a building. In this study, I tried to find the cause of such a contradictory situation centering on House N of Fujimoto Sou, which is a representative architect of such tendency. Specifically, I analyzed the concept of House N by dividing it into aspects of function and representation. The reason for this was to see if the functional aspects of the concept were not modified in the first place, or if the representational aspects of the concept covered the functional aspects. For this purpose, I used WLVAE, which is a visual analysis tool, to analyze the functions of design concepts, along with the analysis of photographs, drawings, and diagrams. As a result of the analysis, House N was also modified to conditions of reality in the process of building, but the initial purity was emphasized in the representation of the concept, so that the building seemed to be very conceptual. This fact suggests that the architect has divided the functional and representational aspects of the concept and has focused on the latter. In conclusion this can be seen as an expression of the architect's interpretation of the relationship between the house and the city through the building.

  • The concept of SIL is applied in the most of all standards relating to functional system safety. However there are problems for the people to apply SIL to their plants. as these standards don't include sufficient informations. In this regards, this paper will suggest the direction of SIL application and concept based on IEC 61508 and IEC 61511. A Safety Integrity Level(SIL) is the discrete level(one out of possible fours), corresponding to a range of the probability of an E/E/PE (Electric/Electrical/Programmable Electrical) safety-related system satisfactorily performing the specific safety functions under all the stated conditions within a stated period of time. SIL can be divided into the target SIL(or required SIL) and the result SIL. The target SIL is determined by the risk analysis at the analysis phase of safety lifecycle and the result SIL is calculated during SIL verification at the realization phase of safety lifecycle. The target SIL is determined by the risk analysis like LOPA(Layer Of Protection Analysis), Risk Graph, Risk Matrix and the result SIL is calculated by HFT(Hardware Fault Tolerance), SFF(Safe Failure Fraction) and PFDavg(average Probability of dangerous Failure on Demand). SIL is applied to various areas such as process safety, machinery(road vehicles, railway application, rotating equipment, etc), nuclear sector which functional safety is applied. The functional safety is the part of the overall safety relating to the EUC and the EUC control system that depends on the correct functioning of the E/E/PE safety-related systems and other risk reduction measures. SIL is applied only to the functional safety of SIS(Safety Instrumented System) in safety. EUC is the abbreviation of Equipment Under Control and is the equipment, machinery, apparatus or plant used for manufacturing, process, transportation, medical or other activities.

  • This paper is an example of records & archival management in Sagamihara City, Japan. The purpose of this paper is to examine the process and main contents of the Japanese record community making 'exemplary records management system' in the region. Specifically, the organization of the Records Management Council, which performs the limited function and role of the 'advisory body', actively utilized the organization of 'local government', which is the main governance organization of municipal administration in the process of regulating the ordinances and related regulations. In this process, related record information at each stage of record management is actively provided to the members of the society. This case is significant in that it presents the "practical view" of the recording community in the reality of the records management in Korea where there is no archive, which is the material foundation of the realization of 'systematic record management'.
