노트북 케이스용 마그네슘의 자기연마가공에서 영구자석의 효과 (The effect of permanent magnet in MAP of magnesium alloy for external case of notebook compute)

  • In previous study, it showed that the MAP was greatly effective polishing process for magnesium plate. But it had lower efficiency than magnetic materials such as SM45C. It was very difficult to cut non-magnetic materials using the MAP process because the process was fundamentally possible by help of a magnetic force. This study aimed to verify analytically formation of the magnetic field in a case of the non-magnetic materials especially focused on magnesium plate. So, In this study, the magnetic density flux was predicted using simulation program. As a result, the magnetic density flux was lower at the center of pole on inductor than outside. It had same result on the experimental verification. And magnetic force was lower according to increase of working gap. So, to improve the magnetic force, permanent magnet was installed under the workpiece. In that case, the magnetic density flux not only at center but also at outside of pole was increased. Therefore, the efficiency of magnetic abrasive polishing was also increased. A design of experimental method was adopted for assessment of parameters' effect on the MAP results of magnesium plate for improving the magnetic force.

  • The renewal of digital map takes much time and the manual process. LiDAR data allows reduction of time, automatic manner, and acquisition of the precise position. So it is used to renew the digital map of 1:5,000 scale. From the accuracy test results using aerial imagery and digitizing, renewal of digital map are feasible in automatic manner to some extent.

  • Depth map is the most common way of expressing 3D space in immersive media. In this paper, we propose a post-processing method to improve the quality of depth map. In proposed method, a depth map is divided into segments, and the plane of each segment estimated using RANSAC. In order to increase the accuracy of the RANSAC process, we apply matching reliability of each pixel in depth map as a weighting factor.

Gaussian process approach for dose mapping in radiation fields

  • In this work, a Gaussian Process (Kriging) approach is proposed to provide efficient dose mapping for complex radiation fields using limited number of responses. Given a few response measurements (or simulation data points), the proposed approach can help the analyst in completing a map of the radiation dose field with a 95% confidence interval, efficiently. Two case studies are used to validate the proposed approach. The First case study is based on experimental dose measurements to build the dose map in a radiation field induced by a D-D neutron generator. The second, is a simulation case study where the proposed approach is used to mimic Monte Carlo dose predictions in the radiation field using a limited number of MCNP simulations. Given the low computational cost of constructing Gaussian Process (GP) models, results indicate that the GP model can reasonably map the dose in the radiation field given a limited number of data measurements. Both case studies are performed on the nuclear engineering radiation laboratories at the University of Sharjah.

  • The purpose of this paper is to establish an effective featured based inspection planning system for OMM(On-Machine Measurement) process. In this system, an effective inspection process planning is accomplished by determining the number of measuring points, their locations and probing paths using fuzzy logic, Hammersley method and TSP problem. Also, an effective collision-free algorithm Is proposed based on the EZ-map analysis. All the inspection planning processes are performed based on the defined inspection features those are derived from the CAD database. Proposed inspection planning method is simulated for the given sample wrokpieces, and the results are analyzed. The results show that the proposed method can be successfully implemented in real OMM process.

  • 휴대폰의 지도서비스는 단말기의 해상도와 프로세스의 제약으로 인하여 데이터를 간략화하면서 사용자의 이해도를 높일 수 있는 약도의 제공이 보다 효율적일 수 있다. 약도는 출발지와 목적지의 경로를 중심으로, 주변의 중요한 도로나 지형지물 등을 단순화하여 사용자가 이해하기 쉽게 표현된 형태이다. 약도 서비스를 위해서는 우선 출발지와 목적지의 경로 및 그 주변 도로를 선택하여 약도식으로 간략화하는 방법이 필요하며, 단말기의 해상도에 적합하게 주변 지형지물을 간략화 된 도로와 함께 약도화하여 표현하는 방법이 필요하다. 이에 본 논문에서는 휴대폰에서 지도를 효율적으로 표현하기 위하여, 지도 일반화 개념을 이용한 약도화 방법을 제안하였다. 제안하는 약도 표현 방법은 현재 상업적으로 서비스되고 있는 지도 서비스와 비교하여 도로를 구성하는 노드의 수가 감소하고, 중요한 지형지물의 선택 등을 수행하여 데이터 효율성이 우수하고, 경로의 명시성과 이해도가 높은 것으로 조사되었다.

  • This paper describes the development process of steering system for reduce idle vibration through the data level of frequency and sensitivity. High stiffness and light weight vehicle is a major target in the refinement of passenger cars to meet customers' contradictable requirements between NVH performance and fuel economy. The target frequency of the steering system is set by benchmarking of a competitive vehicle and the vibration mode map is used to separate steering column modes from resonance of body structure and engine idle rpm. This paper descirbes the analysis approach process for high stiffness of steering system and the design guideline is suggested about steering column and support system by using mother car at initial design stage. We used a patent map in order to analyze accurately a technical trend and suggested the design process using dynamic damper of steering system considering sensitivity. And we established techniques of analysis on steering system and evaluated the level of accuracy of analysis through correlating the test and analysis results. It makes possible to design the good NVH performance vehicle at initial design stage and save vehicles to be used in tests. These improvements can lead to shortening the time needed to develop better vehicles.

인지지도분석을 활용한 AI SW 인력양성 정책분석 (Policy Analysis on AI SW Human Resources Development Using Cognitive Map Analysis)

  • For the government of president Moon's AI SW HRD policy, he proclaimed AI democracy that anyone can utilize artificial intelligence technology to spread AI education for the people of the country. Through cognitive map analysis, this study presents expected policy outcomes due to the input of policy factors to overcome crisis factors and utilize opportunity factors. According to the cognitive guidance analysis, first, the opportunity factor is recognized as accelerating the digital transformation to Covid 19 if AI SW HRD is well nurtured. Second, the crisis factor refers to the rapid paradigm shift caused by the intelligence information society, resulting in job losses in the manufacturing sector and deepening imbalance in manpower supply and demand, especially in the artificial intelligence sector. Third, the comprehensive cognitive map shows a circular process for creating an AI SW ecosystem in response to threats caused by untact caused by Corona and a circular process for securing AI talent in response to threats caused by deepening imbalance in manpower supply and demand in the AI sector. Fourth, in order to accelerate the digital circulation that has been accelerated by Corona, we found a circular process to succeed in the Korean version of digital new deal by strengthening national and corporate competitiveness through AI-utilized capacity and industrial and regional AI education. Finally, the AI utilization empowerment strengthening rotation process is the most dominant of the four mechanisms, and we also found a relatively controllable feedback loop to obtain policy outputs.

이동로봇의 주행을 위한 토폴로지컬 지도의 작성 (Topological Map Building for Mobile Robot Navigation)

  • Map building is the process of modeling the robot's environment. The map is usually built based on a grid-based or topological approach, which has its own merits and demerits. These two methods, therefore, can be integrated to provide a better way of map building, which compensates for each other's drawbacks. In this paper, a method of building the topological map based on the occupancy grid map through a Voronoi diagram is presented and verified by various simulations. This Voronoi diagram is made by using a labeled Voronoi diagram scheme which is suitable for the occupancy grid maps. It is shown that the Proposed method is efficient and simple fur building a topological map. The simple path-planning problem is simulated and experimented verify validity of the proposed approach.

A Dual Log-polar Map Rotation and Scale-Invariant Image Transform

  • The Fourier-Mellin transform is the theoretical basis for the translation, rotation, and scale invariance of an image. However, its implementation requires a log-polar map of the original image, which requires logarithmic sampling of a radial variable in that image. This means that the mapping process is accompanied by considerable loss of data. To solve this problem, we propose a dual log-polar map that uses both a forward image map and a reverse image map simultaneously. Data loss due to the forward map sub-sampling can be offset by the reverse map. This is the first step in creating an invertible log-polar map. Experimental results have demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.
