The present study attempted to analyze the influence of the mother's demographic characteristics and knowledge on oral health as well as dental care behaviors on her practice of using dental care institutions. A self-report survey was conducted among 172 mothers of children aged 5-6 attending on three preschools located in Daegu metropolitan city. Statistical analysis was conducted using the SAS 8.01 with $X^2$-test, t-test and logistic regression. The obtained results were as follows: 1. No significant association was found among the demographic characteristics of the mother, her past experience as well as the purpose of using dental care institutions. 2. There was significant relationship between the mother's knowledge and behavior concerning oral health and her past experience of using dental care institutions; the mothers having a higher level of knowledge and who thought they themselves didn't have healthy teeth and gum tended to have more visits to dental care institutions(pE0.05). There was also significant relationship between their purpose and their actual practice of using dental care institutions: the mothers having a higher level of knowledge and who thought their own oral health was good tended to visit dental institutions more for the preventive purpose than for treatments(pE0.05). 3. As a result of logistic regression, the variables formed as models were their knowledge on oral health and their values for oral health. The standardized coefficients for the two variables were -0.19 and 0.19, respectively. For the mother's purpose of visiting dental care institutions, the variables formed as models were their knowledge on oral health and their values for oral health. The standardized coefficients for the two variables were -0.40 and -0.37, respectively. Painless treatment determines the quality of pediatric dental care. Although local anesthesia has been used to manage pain in dentistry, children often cite traditional aspirating syringes as a symbol of fear and pain. Adequate pain control during dental procedures may help alleviate fear and anxiety and instill positive oral health attitudes in children. Newer approaches such as intranasal spray, centbucridine, jet injectors, buzzy devices, and acupressure have been developed to help dentists provide near-painless injections while reducing dental anxiety. This review aims to summarize newer approaches to alleviate pain and anxiety in children.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of incremental oral health care perceptions and experiences on oral health care performance by analyzing the results of incremental oral health care management for adults. As age increased, incremental oral health care experience is significantly higher. The results have shown that as age increases, interest in incremental oral health care becomes even higher. And, the group using secondary oral care products has significantly higher incremental oral care experience(p<0.05). Also, those who visit dental clinic regularly continue to experience incremental oral health care(p<0.05). In addition, the group that had experienced preventive dental services continued to be significantly highly relevant to oral health care(p<0.05). Based on the results of this study, it is possible to analyze the experience and influence of incremental oral health management and it can be used as basic data for the construction of incremental oral health care program in dental clinic.

Data analysis was performed using IBM SPSS Statistics (Version 21.0), and statistical significance level was set at ${\alpha}=0.05$. Binary logistic regression analysis was performed to the dental hygiene problems affecting the dental hygiene plan. Results: There were significant differences in dental hygiene problems between male and female respondents on various dental problems such as dental plaque deposition, attrition, stain, dental fear, possibility of jaw joint disorder, food pressing, possibility of malocclusion. There were also significant differences in dental hygiene plans between male and female respondents in air-Jet, non-smoking education, and sealant. The most common dental hygiene plan was scaling, The problem of stain showed that the scaling plan was 0.20 times less. The explanatory power of the model was 43.5%, and the Hosmer and Lemeshow tests were 0.345. Conclusions: Therefore, if we continue to study the factors affecting the dental hygiene problems and the plan, we can reduce the burden of the dental hygienists applying the dental hygiene process in the dental clinic. And, it is expected that the oral health care program using the dental hygiene process will spread to the dental clinic as an excellent oral preventive program.
