  • This study treats bureaucracy as one of the main systematic characteristics of public libraries and analyzes the effects on performance based on service quality. Doing this analysis, we investigated the service quality of each library by conducting a questionnaire survey from users of eight public libraries in Seoul metropolitan area of South Korea. We also measured the bureaucratic characteristics of the libraries through another questionnaire survey from librarians. Then based on the survey data, it is analyzed how bureaucratic characteristics affect service quality. According to the analysis results, bureaucratic and post-bureaucratic characteristics had causal relationships with service quality. Especially, several combinations of the characteristics affected service quality. In addition, among the characteristics, a system of rules was more important in the relationship with service quality. This study is meaningful to consider bureaucratic characteristics for public library organizations to produce a high-quality service through empirical research.

  • Epiduroscopy is defined as a percutaneous, minimally invasive endoscopic investigation of the epidural space. Periduroscopy is currently used mainly as a diagnostic tool to directly visualize epidural adhesions in patients with failed back surgery syndrome (FBSS), and as a therapeutic action in patients with low back pain by accurately administering drugs, releasing inflammation, washing the epidural space, and mechanically releasing the scars displayed. Considering epiduroscopy a minimally invasive technique should not lead to underestimating its potential complications. The purpose of this review is to summarize and explain the mechanisms of the side effects strictly related to the technique itself, leaving aside complications considered typical for any kind of extradural procedure (e.g. adverse reactions due to the administration of drugs or bleeding) and not fitting the usual concept of epiduroscopy for which the data on its real usefulness are still lacking. The most frequent complications and side effects of epiduroscopy can be summarized as non-persistent post-procedural low back and/or leg discomfort/pain, transient neurological symptoms (headache, hearing impairment, paresthesia), dural puncture with or without post dural puncture headache (PDPH), post-procedural visual impairment with retinal hemorrhage, encephalopathy resulting in rhabdomyolysis due to a dural tear, intradural cyst, as well as neurogenic bladder and seizures. We also report for first time, to our knowledge, a case of symptomatic pneumocephalus after epiduroscopy, and try to explain the reason for this event and the precautions to avoid this complication.

  • In this study, service quality attributes of uTradeHub were classified based on the Kano model, and quality attributes that should be managed in priority to improve the service quality of uTradeHub were investigated using Timko's customer satisfaction coefficient(CSC) and average satisfaction coefficient(ASC). The results of the study are summarized as follows. First, as a result of classifying service quality attributes based on Kano model, 12 one dimensional qualities, 5 must-be qualities, 2 indifferent qualities were deducted, and many quality attributes of uTradeHub service were confirmed to be one dimensional quality to which is needed to be paid attention and paid more detailed attention to enhance service quality. Second, in the analysis result using Timko's customer satisfaction coefficient, "post processing for problems and complaints", "cost reduction", "efficiency of business processing" were ranked in the top of satisfaction coefficient, and they found to be quality attributes that customer satisfaction increases when service quality was satisfied. While, "post processing for problems and complaints", "interaction", "ability to respond promptly when problems occur" were ranked in the top of unsatisfaction coefficient, and they were analysed to be quality attributes that customer complaints increase when service quality was unsatisfied. Third, in the result of analyzing the quality attributes that should be managed in priority to improve the service quality of uTradeHub based on the average satisfaction coefficient(ASC), "post processing for problems and complaints", "cost reduction", "useful information" were ranked in the top 3, and they were classified as quality attributes that the satisfaction level increases more when they are improved than now, but the satisfaction level decreases when they are worsen.

  • In this study, the MKT level of pre-service mathematics teachers in the area of permutations and combinations was investigated, and MKT-Development Program(MKT-DP) focused on improving the MKT of pre-service mathematics teachers was developed and implemented to examine the effects of the program on the MKT in the area of permutations and combinations. Twenty-nine pre-service mathematics teachers participated in a four-week MKT-DP and MKT pre and post tests. According to the MKT pre test results for permutation and combination areas, pre-service teachers who participated in this study showed low levels of MKT in the permutation and combination areas, especially, the level of SCK and KCT was quite low. In order to examine the effects of MKT-DP, the results of pre- and post-MKT tests were analyzed, and a significant difference between pre- and post-tests was found only in the KCT sub-category. This shows that the MKT-DP developed in this study is effective in improving pre-services teachers' KCT in the area of permutation and combination. Although there were no statistically significant differences between the three remaining sub-categories(CCK, SCK, and KCS), the positive influence of MKT-DP can be expected throughout MKT, as a result of some level increase in post-test compared to the pre-test.

  • Currently, citizens' expectations and concerns on utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in the public sector are widening with the rapid digital transformation. Furthermore the level of global acceptance on the AI and other intelligent digital technologies is augmenting with the needs of non-face-to-face types of public services more than ever due to the unforeseen and unpredictable pandemic, COVID-19. Thus, this study intended to empirically examine what policy directions for the public should be considered to provide well-designed services as well as to promote the evidence-based public policies in terms of Al speaker technology as a non-contact smart city service. Based on the survey of senior citizens' perceptions on AI (AI Speaker technology), this study conducted structure equation modeling analyses to identify whether technology acceptance models on to the varied dependent variables such as actual use, perception, attitude, and brand royalty. The Results of the empirical analyses showed that AI increased the positive level of citizens' perception, attitude and brand royalty on non-contact public services (smart city services) which are becoming more crucial for developing AI oriented government and providing intelligent public services effectively. In addition, theoretical and practical implications are discussed for understanding the changes of public service in the post-corona.

  • This research investigates the relationship between the information quality, service quality, and system quality of lodging apps and the users' expectations, level of satisfaction, and intent to continue using them. For this objective, 418 respondents participated in a survey. To evaluate the hypotheses, the collected data were examined using SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 22.0 statistical software. This study constructed a model using information quality, service quality, system quality, expectancy, satisfaction, and intention to continue using the pre- and post-use relationship of users of accommodation applications. The results of testing the hypotheses indicated that system quality had no significant effect on expectancy, system quality and service quality had no significant effect on satisfaction, and all other hypotheses had significant effects. The conclusion of this research is that the app's system quality, including access speed, access barriers, and privacy, does not satisfy pre- and post-use expectations. In addition, the system quality and service quality of the application have little effect on the app's satisfaction. The information quality of the application has a considerable impact on expectation confirmation and satisfaction, expectation confirmation has an impact on satisfaction, and expectation confirmation and satisfaction have an impact on intention to continue using.

A survey was carried out from February 10 until March 3 in 2011, and a factor analysis and a reliability test was conducted to a total of 263 copies from the survey using SPSS 12.0. The proposed research hypotheses were verified through a multiple regression analysis and a moderated regression analysis. The results are as follows. First, among the social commerce factors, information quality and service quality had a positive(+) effect on buying motives while information quality and food quality had a positive(+) effect on post-purchase satisfaction. Second, as for DDS(Daily Deal Service) of a foodservice company, information quality, food quality and service quality were shown to play a moderating role for buying motives.
