새만금 신항 개발을 위한 물류인프라 구축방향 (The Logistics Infrastructure for the Exploitation of Saemangeum New Port)

  • 본 연구의 대상인 새만금 신항은 신설 예정항만으로서 항만현황 및 물동량 처리실적 등 통계적인 자료의 분석에 한계가 있으므로 본 연구에서는 항만물류환경의 거시적 변화와 정부의 새만금 신항만 건설계획 그리고 새만금 신항 개발에 관한 최근의 연구 등을 중심으로 분석함으로서 새만금 신항 개발을 위한 물류인프라 구축방향을 모색하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 새만금 신항 개발을 위한 물류인프라 구축방향으로 첫째, 항만관련 SOC의 구축 등을 통한 유리한 물류환경의 조성, 둘째, 새만금 신항의 국제적인 홍보활동과 물류시장 확보를 위한 항만마케팅 전략 수립, 셋째, 물동량의 수요와 공급을 예측하고 화물의 적기인도 및 처리를 위한 정보망의 구축 등 로지스틱스 사슬의 구축, 그리고 산 학 관의 적극적인 참여와 협력을 통한 로지스틱스 커뮤니티조성 등을 제안하였다.

군산항의 경쟁력 제고를 위한 LOGISTICS 전략 (The Logistics Strategies to Improve Gunsan Port's Competitiveness)

  • 본 논문은 효율적인 항만물류기능을 위한 로지스틱스 기본전략을 설정하고 이를 군산항에 적용하므로서 국내 타 항구에 비해 낙후된 군산항의 경쟁력을 제공 할 수 있는 개선책을 제시하려는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 군산항은 당면과제로서 적정수심의 유지문제, 정기항로 개설문제, 물류체계의 연계성문제 그리고 항만마케팅전략의 부재 등이 제기되고 있다. 따라서 이러한 과제들을 해결하기 위해서는 첫째, 항만관련 SOC의 구축 등을 통한 물류환경의 조성 둘째, 물류시장 확보를 위한 항만마케팅 전략수립 셋째, 물동량의 수요와 공급을 예측하여 화물의 적기인도 및 처리를 위한 정보마의 구축 등 로지스틱스 사슬구축 그리고 산 학 관의 협력네트워크를 통한 로지스틱스 커뮤니티의 조성 등의 로지스틱스 전략을 수립 시행하여야 한다. 또한 이와 같은 전략을 효과적으로 수행하기 위하여 그동안 정부에서 추진하고 있는 Two port 집중정책을 재고하고 개별항구의 특성과 기능을 고려한 "다변화 특화정책"으로 전환 할 것을 정책적 대안으로 제언한다.

  • With the globalization of economy, there is keen competition among countries to be a logistics hub and companies are striving to be first in establishing logistics system centering on advantageous sites, especially airport and seaports, to perform supply, production and distribution. Gwangyang port has been designated as Free Economy Zone. This paper analyzes many problems and presents various measures to activate Gwangyang port as follows regional economy to promote Gwangyang Free Economy Zone, governmental support, introduction & logistics functions, early development of the hinterland, investment attraction into the area and diversified promotion & marketing activities.

A Comparative Analysis of Port Development Strategies in Hong Kong and Busan

  • This paper discusses the strategies for the future qf the Hong Kong Port and Buasn Port. We assess whether they prepare the ports for the position of being the logistics hub, and as such could assist the ports to maintain their position in the world's container port. We reviewed both the current situation qf the Hong Kong Port and the strategy of the port for the future (Master Plan 2020) to keep the status of logistics hub. With the case study on the Port of Hong Kong, this study attempts to examine what the strategic planning is needed for the Busan Port. We debate the Port of Busan could be seen as a logistics chain for the future. In our discussion, the strategic planning on "Port Vision 2020" for Port of Busan does not address the issues regarding this part, nor does it make any recommendations in terms of the requirement of the logistics private sector.

물류중심지 광양항의 경쟁력 확보 방안에 관한 연구 (Strengthening the Competitiveness of Gwangyang Port as Logistics Hub)

  • The goal of the project on developing Korea as the logistics hub of Northeast Asia is to develop Busan Port and Gwangyang Port as international logistics centers by promoting and attracting more warehouses. As is well known, there is intense competition among ports located in major economic blocs to become the regional logistics hub. Gwangyang is second to none in terms of being favorably located at the center of Northeast Asia. Gwangyang Port, however, lacked in SOC construction and faced the poor government support politics hub of Northeast Asia. They are i) expanding the logistics infrastructuressuch as expressway and railroads between Yeosu Airport and Gwangyang Port, ii) Setting up new port hinterland and industrial complex in the vicinity of Gwangyang Port iii) securing high value-added fixed cargo traffic, and iv) improving laws and institutions.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 부산 신항 배후 물류단지의 경쟁력을 강화하고, 부산 신항 물류창고의 발전 전략을 모색하는 것이다. 본 고는 SWOT/AHP 분석기법을 활용하여 부산 신항 물류창고 종사자들에게 설문조사를 실시하였다. 부산 신항 물류창고의 경쟁력을 위한 SWOT 그룹별 속성요인을 추출하고 세부 평가속성 요인별 상대적 중요도를 실증 분석하여 도출하였다. 부산 신항 물류창고의 경쟁력 강화 전략으로 S/O 전략, S/T 전략, W/O 전략, W/T 전략을 제시하였다. 본 연구를 통해서 부산 신항 물류창고의 경쟁력 확보에 대한 전략제시와 해당 지역 및 물류산업의 경제적 이익 창출 효과를 기대하는 바이다.

  • The government of Busan Metropolitan City conducted the "Survey on Shipping and Port Logistics Companies in Busan" between May and December, 2000. This was the first comprehensive survey of Busan Port conducted from the perspective of regional & industrial economics. The objective of the survey was to find out the level of influence of the shipping and port logistics industry on the regional economy of Busan, and to obtain base data for use in establishing an actual promotion program. The survey acquired information about human and physical resources, management conditions and consciousness of the industry, In addition, the study analyzed the survey data. The results of the analysis showed a method of creating added value in support of the marketing activities of the companies, and indicated methods of achieving systematic and sustainable promotion. The government of Busan City shall develop an e-Logistics infrastructure which can deliver a synopsis and intelligent information to people and companies in the industry by the end of this year. The information system would be of great help for people who may not be familiar with Busan's port and shipping industry, particularly international shipping companies. This will result in an Increase of trade and exchange in the shipping and port logistics industry, resulting in the generation of increased added value within the near future.

한국의 동북아 물류중심로드맵 투자우선순위와 개선방안 (Investment Priority and ImProvements in the Northeast Asia Logostics Hub Road Map)

  • Northeast Asia logistics hub strategy was undertaken by Korean Government to gain a national competitive advantage in Northeast Asia. Current Government has Northeast Asian Economic Hub Strategy including construction of SOC in Northeast Asia for promoting peace, promotion of formation of Northeast Asia Community, logistics hub, Financial hub and national innovation for R&D Cluster. To realize Northeast Asian logistics hub, the Northeast Asia logistics hub road map has undertaken as follows: expansion of logistics infra in Incheon Airport, Busan Port and Gwangyang Port, systematic improvements such as adjustment of investment distribution, special logistics companies, transparent customs in logistics transactions, logistics manpower, improvement of system supporting global logistics and attraction of international logistics companies to the logistics center, construction of seamless and paperless logistics information network, Northeast Asia railway infra. The purpose of this paper is to study investment priority and improvements in the Northeast Asia Logistics Hub Road Map and to contribute to gain the national competitive advantage as logistics hub in Northeast Asia

지역특화산업을 고려한 군산항 발전 방안 (A Study on Strategies of Gunsan Port by Considering Regional Characteristics)

  • This study comprehensively reviews the research conducted until recently in order to derive realistic alternatives in consideration of local industries. The case analysis was performed on a competitive port of similar size, and strategies and revitalization measures were suggested in consideration of the conditions of Gunsan Port. Literature review focused on papers and major reports. The case of similar size were analyzed for Daesan port, Boryeong port, and Mokpo port. In order to find strategies to revitalize the regional port logistics industry behind Gunsan Port, the recent opportunities and threat factors of Gunsan Port were derived. In order to foster the regional port logistics industry with Gunsan Port as its main base, this study proposes a three-step development strategy. It is necessary to increase the effectiveness of the public-private joint port sales and maintain the incentive system, but use it as a means to strengthen the competitiveness of Gunsan Port. Since the possibility of opening various routes is not high due to the conditions of Gunsan Port, various business models can be devised to link the currently opened routes. Start-up in the logistics field can stand out if they provide predictive data or provide consulting services by securing and analyzing logistics data, not directly providing logistics services.

  • Recently, the role of container ports is radically changing, These changes are largely driven by the innovation process of Logistics such as Supply Chain Logistics and Global Logistics due to the international expansional of industry. Under this environment, It is required that the container port should act as a integral part of a Supply Logistics Chain especially to provide the customer-oriented logistics service. This paper deals with the development strategy of container ports coping with these changes in the view point of container ports as a Logistics infrastructure to provide customer-response services and necessary to the economic promotion of hinterlands. Strategy is suggested in the phases of the customers desire, the pattern of container cargo, the economic promotion of hinterlands, and interrelation of container ports in north-east Asia and also domestics through the analysis of competiveness of container ports.
