This paper analysis the performance of joint receiving structure consisting of the decorrelating multiuser detection and beamfromenr-RAKE receive for DS-CDMA communication systems. In asynchronous transmission as the number of simultaneous users increase. the capacity of CDMA system becomes severly reduced due to the nonideal orthogonality between user-assigned PN sequences and improper power control. Accordingly, the CDMA receiving system becomes vulnerable to the multiple access interferences and the near-far problem under multipath fading channel environment. To withstand these undesired performance degradations, this paper proposes the new type of multiuser detection which has a form of the hybrid structure of concatenating beamformer-RAKE receiver and decorrelating multiuser detection. the beam former-RAKE receiver performs temporal and spatial diversity combining with alleviating fading effect and suppressing undesired interferences, and the multiuser detection plays a role of making the receiver robust to the near-far problem. Regarding the individual merit on the usage of either multiuser detection or beamformer-RAKE receiver, the hybrid one is expected to produce the enhanced performance in multipath fading CDMA channel. However major drawback of using decorrelating multiuser detection for practical deployment is arised from its computational complexity , which is exponentially increased as more number of users and transmitted symbols involve. To diminish the computational complexity, this paper exploits an efficient block Toeplitz inversion technique using matrix Levinson polynomial will be introduced. And this paper provided the mathematical analysis to show the efficiency of the proposed joint structure under the multipath propagation environment. And results of a series of exhaustive computer simulations are presented in order to demonstrate the overall performance of the proposed hybrid structure in multipath fading CDMA channel.

In this paper, precipitation echo(PRE) and non-precipitaion echo(N-PRE)(including ground echo and clear echo) through weather radar data are identified with the aid of neuro-fuzzy algorithm. The accuracy of the radar information is lowered because meteorological radar data is mixed with the PRE and N-PRE. So this problem is resolved by using RBFNN and judgement module. Structure expression of weather radar data are analyzed in order to classify PRE and N-PRE. Input variables such as Standard deviation of reflectivity(SDZ), Vertical gradient of reflectivity(VGZ), Spin change(SPN), Frequency(FR), cumulation reflectivity during 1 hour(1hDZ), and cumulation reflectivity during 2 hour(2hDZ) are made by using weather radar data and then each characteristic of input variable is analyzed. Input data is built up from the selected input variables among these input variables, which have a critical effect on the classification between PRE and N-PRE. Echo judgment module is developed to do echo classification between PRE and N-PRE by using testing dataset. Polynomial-based radial basis function neural networks(RBFNNs) are used as neuro-fuzzy algorithm, and the proposed neuro-fuzzy echo pattern classifier is designed by combining RBFNN with echo judgement module. Finally, the results of the proposed classifier are compared with both CZ and DZ, as well as QC data, and analyzed from the view point of output performance.

In this paper, the efficient BILBO(named EBILBO) is designed for BIST that is able to batch the testing when circuit is designed on FPGA. The proposed algorithm of batch testing is able to test the normal operation speed with one-pin-count that can control all part of large and complex circuit. PRTPG is used for the test pattern and MISR is used for PSA. The proposed algorithm of batch testing is VHDL coding on behavioral description, so it is easily modified the model of test pattern generation, signature analysis and compression. The EBILBO's area and the performance of designed BIST are evaluated with ISCAS89 benchmark circuit on FPGA. In circuit with above 600 cells, it is shown that area is reduced below 30%, test pattern is flexibly generated about 500K and the fault coverage is from 88.3% to 100%. EBILBO for the proposed batch testing BIST is able to execute concurrently normal and test mode operation in real time to the number of $s+n+(2^s/2^p-1)$ clock(where, in CUT, # of PI;n, # of register, p is order # of polynomial). The proposed algorithm coded with VHDL is made of library, then it well be widely applied to DFT that satisfy the design and test field on sme time.
In the present work, Arthrobacter sp. 25, a lead-tolerant bacterium, was assayed to remove lead(II) from aqueous solution. The biosorption process was optimized by response surface methodology (RSM) based on the Box-Behnken design. The relationships between dependent and independent variables were quantitatively determined by second-order polynomial equation and 3D response surface plots. The biosorption mechanism was explored by characterization of the biosorbent before and after biosorption using atomic force microscopy (AFM), scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The results showed that the maximum adsorption capacity of 9.6 mg/g was obtained at the initial lead ion concentration of 108.79 mg/l, pH value of 5.75, and biosorbent dosage of 9.9 g/l (fresh weight), which was close to the theoretically expected value of 9.88 mg/g. Arthrobacter sp. 25 is an ellipsoidal-shaped bacterium covered with extracellular polymeric substances. The biosorption mechanism involved physical adsorption and microprecipitation as well as ion exchange, and functional groups such as phosphoryl, hydroxyl, amino, amide, carbonyl, and phosphate groups played vital roles in adsorption. The results indicate that Arthrobacter sp. 25 may be potentially used as a biosorbent for low-concentration lead(II) removal from wastewater.
This paper provides an evaluation of an optimization-based, multiple-input double-output (MIDO) run-to-run (R2R) control scheme for general semiconductor manufacturing processes. The controller in this research, termed adaptive dual response optimizing controller (ADROC), can serve as a process optimizer as well as a recipe regulator between consecutive runs of wafer fabrication. In evaluation, it is assumed that the equipment model could be appropriately described by a pair of second-order polynomial functions in terms of a set of controllable variables. Of practical relevance is to consider a drifting effect in the equipment model since in common semiconductor practice the process tends to drift due to machine aging and tool wearing. We select a typical application of R2R control to chemical mechanical planarization (CMP) in semiconductor manufacturing in this evaluation, and there are five different CMP process scenarios demonstrated, including mean shift, variance increase, and IMA disturbances. For the controller, ADROC, an on-line estimation technique is implemented in a self-tuning (ST) control manner for the adaptation purpose. Subsequently, an ad hoc global optimization algorithm based on the dual response approach, arising from the response surface methodology (RSM) literature, is used to seek the optimum recipe within the acceptability region for the execution of next run. The main components of ADROC are described and its control performance is assessed. It reveals from the evaluation that ADROC can provide excellent control actions for the MIDO R2R situations even though the process exhibits complicated, nonlinear interaction effects between control variables, and the drifting disturbances.

This paper describes the results of a low-frequency oscillation analysis using data measured in PMU installed in the KEPCO system, and the comparison with eigenvalues computed from the linear model. The dominant oscillation modes are estimated by applying various algorithms. The algorithms are: the extended Prony method; multiple time interval parameter estimation method; subspace system identification method; and spectral analysis. From the measurement data, modes of frequency 0.68[Hz] and 0.92[Hz] were estimated, and modes of frequency 0.63[Hz] and 0.80[Hz] were computed from the eigenvalue calculation. There was a difference between the mode estimated from measurement data and that from the linear model. This is possibly because of an error in the dynamic data of the KEPCO system used in eigenvalue calculation. Because wide area modes exist in the KEPCO system, these modes should be monitored continuously for the reliable operation of the system. In order to prevent total blackouts caused by wide area oscillation, moreover, contingency analysis should be performed in relation to this mode and appropriate measures should be established.

There has been increasing interest from NIST and other companies in studying post-quantum cryptography in order to resist against quantum computers. Multivariate polynomial based, code based, lattice based, hash based digital signature, and isogeny based cryptosystems are one of the main categories in post quantum cryptography. Among these categories, isogeny based cryptosystem is known to have shortest key length. In this paper, we implemented Supersingular Isogeny Diffie-Hellman (SIDH) protocol efficiently on low-end mobile device. Considering the device's specification, we select supersingular curve on 523 bit prime field, and generate efficient isogeny computation tree. Our implementation of SIDH module is targeted for 32bit environment.

In this paper, we present a multi-period 0-1 knapsack problem which has the cardinality constraints. Theoretically, the presented problem can be regarded as an extension of the multi-period 0-1 knapsack problem. In the multi-period 0-1 knapsack problem, there are n jobs to be performed during m periods. Each job has the execution time and its completion gives profit. All the n jobs are partitioned into m periods, and the jobs belong to i-th period may be performed not later than in the i-th period, i = 1, ${\cdots}$, m. The total production time for periods from 1 to i is given by $b_i$ for each i = 1, ${\cdots}$, m, and the objective is to maximize the total profit. In the extended problem, we can select a specified number of jobs from each of periods associated with the corresponding cardinality constraints. As the extended problem is NP-hard, the branch and bound method is preferable to solve it, and therefore it is important to have efficient procedures for solving its linear programming relaxed problem. So we intensively explore the LP relaxed problem and suggest a polynomial time algorithm. We first decompose the LP relaxed problem into m subproblems associated with each cardinality constraints. Then we identify some new properties based on the parametric analysis. Finally by exploiting the special structure of the LP relaxed problem, we develop an efficient algorithm for the LP relaxed problem. The developed algorithm has a worst case computational complexity of order max[$O(n^2logn)$, $O(mn^2)$] where m is the number of periods and n is the total number of jobs. We illustrate a numerical example.

This study explores the long?term trends of extreme temperatures of 270 observation stations in East Asia (China, Japan, and Korea) for 1961?2013. The 5th percentile of daily minimum temperatures (TN05%) and 95th percentile of daily maximum temperatures (TX95%), derived from the quantile regression, are particularly examined in term of their linear and nonlinear trends. The warming trends of TN05% are typically stronger than those of TX95% with more significant trends in winter than in summer for most stations. In both seasons, warming trends of TN05% tend to amplify with latitudes. The nonlinear trends, quantified by the $2^{nd}$?order polynomial fitting, exhibit different structures with seasons. While summer TN05% and TX95% were accelerated in time, winter TN05% underwent weakening of warming since the 2000s. These results suggest that extreme temperature trends in East Asia are not homogeneous in time and space.
Carbon nanotubes, nanofibers and powders were used for acetylene adsorption experiments. A total of 15 different experiments were designed by 3-level of Box-Behnken Design (BBD) with 3 factors including the Pd concentration of 0 to 5%, adsorption temperature of 30 to $80^{\circ}C$ and $C_2H_2/CO_2$ of 3 to 10. Based on those data, a second order polynomial regression analysis was used to derive the adsorption amount prediction equation according to operating conditions. The adsorption temperature showed the greatest influence index while the $C_2H_2/CO_2$ ratio showed the smallest according to the F-value measurement of the ANOVA analysis. However, there was little interaction between major factors. In the adsorption optimization analysis, a 22.0 mmol/g was adsorbed under the conditions of Pd concentration of 3.0%, adsorption temperature of $47^{\circ}C$ and $C_2H_2/CO_2$ of 10 with 95.9% accuracy.
