  • We explicitly determine fundamental units and regulators of an infinite family of cyclic quartic function fields $L_h$ of unit rank 3 with a parameter h in a polynomial ring $\mathbb{F}_q[t]$, where $\mathbb{F}_q$ is the finite field of order q with characteristic not equal to 2. This result resolves the second part of Lehmer's project for the function field case.

  • An efficient algorithm for finding the inverse and the group inverse of the FLS $\gamma-circulant$ matrix is presented by Euclidean algorithm. Extension is made to compute the inverse of the FLS $\gamma-retrocirculant$ matrix by using the relationship between an FLS $\gamma-circulant$ matrix and an FLS $\gamma-retrocirculant$ matrix. Finally, some examples are given.

  • For a ring endomorphism of a ring R, Krempa called $\alpha$ rigid endomorphism if $a{\alpha}(a)$ = 0 implies a = 0 for a $\in$ R, and Hong et al. called R an $\alpha$-rigid ring if there exists a rigid endomorphism $\alpha$. Due to Rege and Chhawchharia, a ring R is called Armendariz if whenever the product of any two polynomials in R[x] over R is zero, then so is the product of any pair of coefficients from the two polynomials. The Armendariz property of polynomials was extended to one of skew polynomials (i.e., $\alpha$-Armendariz rings and $\alpha$-skew Armendariz rings) by Hong et al. In this paper, we study the relationship between $\alpha$-rigid rings and extended Armendariz rings, and so we get various conditions on the rings which are equivalent to the condition of being an $\alpha$-rigid ring. Several known results relating to extended Armendariz rings can be obtained as corollaries of our results.

  • Thompson series is a Hauptmodul for a genus zero group which lies between $\Gamma$o(N) and its normalizer in PSL2(R) ([1]). We construct explicit ring class fields over an imaginary quadratic field K from the Thompson series $T_g$($\alpha$) (Theorem 4), which would be an extension of [3], Theorem 3.7.5 (2) by using the Shimura theory and the standard results of complex multiplication. Also we construct various class fields over K, over a CM-field K (${\zeta}N + {\zeta}_N^{-1}$), and over a field K (${\zeta}N$). Furthermore, we find an explicit formula for the conjugates of Tg ($\alpha$) to calculate its minimal polynomial where $\alpha$ (${\in}{\eta}$) is the quotient of a basis of an integral ideal in K.

  • Every non-associative algebra L corresponds to its symmetric semi-Lie algebra $L_{[,]}$ with respect to its commutator. It is an interesting problem whether the equality $Aut{non}(L)=Aut_{semi-Lie}(L)$ holds or not [2], [13]. We find the non-associative algebra automorphism groups $Aut_{non}\; \frac\;{(WN_{0,0,1}_{[0,1,r_1...,r_p])}$ and $Aut_{non-Lie}\; \frac\;{(WN_{0,0,1}_{[0,1,r_1...,r_p])}$ where every automorphism of the automorphism groups is the composition of elementary maps [3], [4], [7], [8], [9], [10], [11]. The results of the paper show that the F-algebra automorphism groups of a polynomial ring and its Laurent extension make easy to find the automorphism groups of the algebras in the paper.
