In recent industrialization and development due to information and communication technology, modern women in modern society are exposed to physical and mental health due to numerous stresses. Popular inflammations are attributable to a decrease in lactic acid bacteria, frequent antibiotic use, and a decrease in immunity. It is necessary to develop products that are helpful and reflected. The inner care gel currently introduced on the market can increase beneficial bacteria and maintain a healthy y-zone. The inner gel contains a hydrogel component. 90% is made up of water, and other components act as support for supporting water and are formed through crosslinking between polymer chains. Hydroxyethyl cellulose (HEC) is a hydroxyethyl ethylenetel of cellulose. The purpose of use is to act as a binder, an emulsion stabilizer, a viscosity enhancer (water-soluble), and a film forming agent. CA (crosslinker) is a crosslinking agent and serves to bind. Hydrogel in the beauty field acts as a film forming agent that gently wraps around the skin by forming a thin film and serves as an emulsion stabilizer that helps to prevent separation of other raw materials. It also acts as a thickener by increasing viscosity in cosmetics. In addition, it is used for glucose monitoring, nursing care, cell transplantation, and wound treatment in the bio field. Currently, it is understood that no products using functional hydrogel have been released, so in this study, a Y zone care hydrogel solution was manufactured to find out the antibacterial properties of the functional hydrogel, and a new solution was developed. As a result, it was confirmed that the appropriate Ph was applied to the Y zone, and after culturing Candida albicans in PDB medium, all three products of the Y zone care hydrogel solution showed an antibacterial effect of 0.5-1.0mm

In this study, in order to develop organic-inorganic hybrid packaging materials(PM) of bike paths using blast furnace slag(BS) as industrial by-products, fundamental properties of organic-inorganic hybrid packaging materials were performed. Test result, the increase of Acryl emulsion polymer(AEP)/binder(B) ratios tends to delay the setting time, to increase the table flow, to decrease the strength by material segregation and to increase the length change. The optimal mix proportion of AEP decides on 40%(AEP/B) due to workability and high strength. The increase of BS replacement ratios also tends to delay the setting time, to separate AEP from B and to decrease the strength by material segregation. When BS replacement ratios were lower than 40%, they are satisfied with goal properties.
Linear traverse method and point count method described at ASTM have been widely used to estimate the air void system in hardened concrete. These methods, however, are rarely used at present, because they require many efforts and time consuming works. Also these results depend on each person's decision, and are not repeatable. Thus, new image analysis method using microscope and computer processes has been approached for analyzing air void system in hardened concrete. The purpose of this study was to analysis the air void systems in latex-modified concretes using a reasonable and objective image analysis method with main experimental variables such as cement types(ordinary portland cement, rapid setting cement) and latex contents(0%,15%). In the results of this study, the use of polymer latex showed that it could be attributed to its air void systems, due to the fact that the latex emulsion acts as an air-entraining agent, which thus generally guarantees an adequate air-void system.
The structural and useful characteristics of silk habutae treated with silicone resin by emulsion finishing method were studied. The results were obtained through crease recovery test, water repellency test, scanning micrograph observation, amino acid analysis, X-Ray diffraction analysis, and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy. The results are summarized as follows; 1) The improvement in crease recovery of silk habutae finished with silicone resin, was observed b soaping treatment and curing conditions. 2) The higher water repellency and stiffness in silk fabrics finished with silicone resin was found by the fabric inspection and the scanning electron microscopic observation. It is suggested that silicone resin impregnated into the void of silk fibroin. 3) The polar side chains of amino acid composition were decreased, when the silicone resin was treated on silk fibroin. 4) Through Amino acid analysis of silicone resin finished fibroin, the different amounts of amino acid composition was indicated due to silk fibroin silicone polymer reaction and the structural difference of its fibroin were also proved by X-ray diffractograms. 5) The functionality of the siloxane compound may be deduced from the silicone finished silk habutae by Fourier Transform Spectroscopy. It was concluded from the above results that the useful characteristics of silk fabric can be improved by silicone resin finishing.
Ag nanoparticles were distributed onto polystyrene nanoparticle (PS-Ag) beads using two synthetic methodologies. In the first methodology, polystyrene (PS) beads were prepared via emulsion polymerization, with Ag nanoparticles subsequently loaded onto the surface of the PS beads. The polymerization of styrene was radiolytically induced in an ethanol (EtOH)/water medium, generating PS beads. Subsequently, Ag nanoparticles were loaded onto the PS beads via the reduction of Ag ions. The results from the morphological studies, using field emission transmission electron microscopy (FE-TEM), reveal the PS particles were spherical and nanosized, and the average size of the PS spherical particles decreased with increasing volume % of water in the polymerization medium. The size of the PS spherical particles increases with increasing radiation dose for the polymerization. Also, the amount of Ag nanoparticle loading could be increased by increasing the irradiation dose for the reduction of the Ag ions. In the second methodology, the polymerization of styrene and reduction of Ag ions were simultaneously performed by irradiating a solution containing styrene and Ag ions in an EtOH/water medium. Interestingly, the Ag nanoparticles were preferentially homogeneously distributed within the PS particles (not on the surface of the PS particles). Thus, Ag nanoparticles were distributed onto the surface of the PS particles using the first approach, but into the PS clusters of the particles via the second. The antimicrobial efficiency of a cloth coated with the Ag-PS composite nanoparticles was tested against bacteria, such as Staphylococcus aureus and Klebsiella pneumoniase, for 100 water washing cycles.

The purpose of this study was to improve not only wet-end performances but also paper characteristics by the modification of various factors like molecular design and ionic characteristics of polyacrylamides First of all physical characteristics were observed after modify molecular design of the cationic polyacrylamides to linear, branched and cross-linked. In addition it was found analysis method to confirm branch degree of cationic polyacrylamides to combine ionic titration characteristics and spectroscopic behavior, After application of these structure modified polyacrylamides to the multiple retention systems with inorganic microparticles, it was found adjusting of branch degree of polyacrylamides was very important to optimize wet-end improvement. Second, After polymerization of amphoteric polyacrylamide to have both of cationic and anionic functional group in the polymer, we observed not only physical characteristics but also wet-end improvement to apply recycled pulp and found that the improvement of solution stability to prevent hydrolysis and increase of ash retention dramatically to compare traditional cationic polyacrylamide retention aid, Finally, After polymerization of anionic polyacrylamide, we observed not only wet-end improvement but also paper characteristics to apply preflocculation of PCC and it was found the improvements of flocculation efficiency, retention, ash retention, optical properties of the paper and bursting strength to compare traditional preflocculant of cationic polyacrylamide.
Hydrogels are thought to be a promising delivery carrier for protein drugs because of their favorable aqueous environment compared with nano/micro-particles of hydrophobic polymer such as PLGA. In this study, nano-sized hydrogels (nanogels) were fabricated using inverse-miniemulsion polymerization method. The mean size of nanogels in range of 90-160nm and affected by the preparation parameters such as sonication time and concentration of monomer. While longer sonication time and lower concentration of acrylamide monomer showed a tendency to produce smaller nanogels and to have lower lysozyme activity, variation of bis-methylene acrylamide concentration made no difference. Although both longer soncaton time and lower acrylamide concentration increased in vitro release rate, acrylamide concentration was more effectively affected to the control of protein release rate, which indicated that the release rate of protein from nanogels affected by not only their size but also internal structure. In conclusion, nanogels prepared by inverse-miniemulsion can be a useful carrier for application of protein drug, because of simple process, minimum contact of organic solvent and high protein activity.
W/O emulsions were prepared from the aqueous solution containing NIPAAm, MBA, and APS in the continuous phase of toluene and mineral oil mixture with HMP and Span80 by using SPG membrane emulsification, and followed by the formation of PNIPAAm hydrogel microspheres through UV photopolymerization. As the ratio of mineral oil to toluene increased in the continuous phase, both particle size of the hydrogel increased and density of PNIPAAm polymer in the hydrogel particle increased, and which significantly affected swelling/deswelling ratio ($V/V_o$) with temperature change around VPTT. When the polymerization temperature was below LCST ($20^{\circ}C$), PNIPAAm hydrogel showed filled particle morphology; however, it was turned out to hollow particle morphology with thick shell layer with $40^{\circ}C$. Both density of PNIPAAm and gel content of the hydrogel increased with the increase in MBA concentration.

The influence of the reactant composition on the surface free energy and on the dispersity in water was investigated by using the fluorine-containing water-soluble polyurethane synthesized with the fluorine-containing diol and hydrophilic diol. The diol donating ionic characteristics was more effective than polyol, and stable emulsion with the diameter of 610~310 nm was obtained in the range of 0.3~0.7 molar ratio of the diol to polyol. According to the increment of fluorine-containing compound up to 10 wt %, the surface free energy of polyurethane was dramatically decreased from 22.3 to 12.6 dyn/cm, and the diameter of water dispersed polyurethane increased from 380 to 860 nm due to the strong interaction between polymer molecules because fluorine segments are arranged on the surface of molecules. The macromonomer with perfluoroalkyl group was more effective in complement of the weak point of water-soluble polyurethane, which is a decrease of hydrophobicity, because of strong hydrophobicity.

Aim of the study: Scaffolds are crucial to tissue engineering/regeneration. Biodegradable polymer/ceramic composite scaffolds can overcome the limitations of conventional ceramic bone substitutes such as brittleness and difficulty in shaping. In this study, poly(L-lactide)/hydroxyapatite(PLLA/HA) composite scaffolds were fabricated for in vivo bone tissue engineering. Material & methods: In this study, PLLA/HA composite microspheres were prepared by double emulsion-solvent evaporation method, and were evaluated in vivo bone tissue engineering. Bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell from rat iliac crest was differentiated to osteoblast by adding osteogenic medium, and was mixed with PLLA/HA composite scaffold in fibrin gel and was injected immediately into rat cranial bone critical size defect(CSD:8mm in diameter). At 1. 2, 4, 8 weeks after implantation, histological analysis by H-E staining, histomorphometric analysis and radiolographic analysis were done. Results: BMP-2 loaded PLLA/HA composite scaffolds in fibrin gel delivered with osteoblasts differentiated from bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells showed rapid and much more bone regeneration in rat cranial bone defects than control group. Conclusion: This results suggest the feasibility and usefulness of this type of scaffold in bone tissue engineering.
