멜트블론 부직포 제조를 위한 PLA/PCL 블렌드의 미세구조, 열적특성, 및 유변학적 성질 (Microstructure, Thermal Properties and Rheological Behavior of PLA/PCL Blends for Melt-blown Nonwovens)

  • Poly(lactic acid) (PLA) and poly(${\varepsilon}$-caprolactone) (PCL) blends with various components for melt-blown non-wovens were prepared by a twin-screw extruder. Tributyl citrate (TBC) was added in order to improve the miscibility between PLA and PCL. The results showed that small circular particles of PCL were dispersed in PLA matrix uniformly. The addition of PCL had the heterogeneous nucleation effect on the crystallization of PLA and decreased thermal stability of PLA. The flow of pure PLA and blends approached to Newtonian liquid at a low shear rate and expressed more obvious viscoelasticity at a high shear rate.

  • Ternary blends of poly(L-lactic acid) (PLLA), poly(${\varepsilon}$-caprolactone) (PCL) and polyethylene oxide (PEO) were produced with different concentrations of components via melt blending. By leaching the PEO from the samples by water, porous materials were obtained with potential application for bio scaffolds. Sample porosity was evaluated by calculating the ratio of porous scaffold density (${\rho}^*$) to the non-porous material density (${\rho}_s$). Highest porosity (51.42%) was related to the samples containing 50 wt%. of PEO. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) studies showed the best porosity resulted by decreasing PLLA/PCL ratio at constant concentration of PEO. Crystallization behavior of the ternary blend samples was studied using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Results revealed that the crystallinity of PLLA was improved by addition of PEO and PCL to the samples. The porosity plays a key role in governing the compression properties. Mechanical properties are presented by Gibson-Ashby model.

Thermal Properties of Poly(trimethylene terephthalate)/ Poly(ethylene terephthalate) Melt Blends

  • The thermal behavior, morphology, ester-interchange reaction of Poly(trimethylene terephthalate) (PTT)/poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) melt blends were investigated over the whole composition range(xPTT/(1-x)PET) using a twinscrew Brabender. The melt blends were analyzed by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy ($^{13}{C-NMR}$), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Single glass transition temperature ($T_g$) and cold crystallization temperature ($T_cc$) were observed in all melt blends. Melt blends were found to be due to the ester-interchange reaction in PTT/PET blend. Also the randomness of copolymer increases because transesterification between PT and PET increases with increasing blending time This reaction increases homogeneity of the blends and decreases the degree of crystallinity of the melt blends. In PTT-rich blends, mechanical properties decrease with increase of PET content compared with that of pure PTT. And, in PET-rich blends, tensile modulus decreases with increase of PTT content, but tensile strength and elongation is similar to that of pure PET.

Mobility Determination of Thin Film a-Si:H and poly-Si

  • Thin film Si has been used in sensors, radiation detectors, and solar cells. The carrier mobility of thin film Si influences the device behavior through its frequency response or time response. Since poly-Si shows the higher mobility value, a-Si:H films on Mo substrate were subjected to various crystallization treatments. Consequently, we need to find an appropriate method in mobility measurement before and after the anneal treatment. This paper investigates the carrier mobility improvement with anneal treatments and summarizes the mobility measurement methods of the a-Si:H and poly-Si film. Various techniques were investigated for the mobility determination such as Hall mobility, HS, TOF, SCLC, TFT, and TCO method. We learned that TFT and TCO method are suitable for the mobility determination of a-Si:H and poly-Si film. The measured mobility was improved by $2{\sim}3$ orders after high temperature anneal above $700^{\circ}C$ and grain boundary passivation using an RF plasma rehydrogenation.

  • 금속유도 측면 결정화에 의해 제작된 다결정 실리콘 박막 트랜지스터(Thin Film Transistor; TFT)의 전기적 스트레스의 효과에 대해 연구하였다. MILC로 제작된 TFT에 전기적 스트레스가 인가될 때, off-state 전류가 100배에서 10000배까지 감소한다. 그러나 전기적 스트레스를 인가한 소자를 관상로에서 열처리를 할 경우 열처리온도가 증가할 수록 off-state 전류가 다시 증가했다. 열처리온도에 따른 off-state 전류의 의존성으로부터 MILC 다결정 실리콘 박막내 트랩준위의 활성화에너지(0.34eV)를 얻어냈다.

Anneal Temperature Effects on Hydrogenated Thin Film Silicon for TFT Applications

  • a-Si:H and poly-Si TFT(thin film transistor) characteristics were investigated using an inverted staggered type TFT. The TFT an as-grown a-Si:H exhibited a low field effect mobility, transconductance, and high gate threshold voltage. The poly-Si films were achieved by using an isothermal and RTA treatment for glow discharge deposited a-Si:H films. The a-Si:H films were cystallized at the various temperature from 600$^{\circ}C$ to 1000$^{\circ}C$. As anneal temperature was elevated, the TFT exhibited increased g$\sub$m/ and reduced V$\sub$ds/. V$\sub$T/. The poly-Si grain boundary passivation with grain boundary trap types and activation energies as a function of anneal temperature. The poly-si TFT showed an improved I$\sub$nm//I$\sub$off/ ratio of 10$\^$6/, reduced gate threshold voltage, and increased field effect mobility by three orders.

다결정 실리콘 태양전지 제조를 위한 비정절 실리콘의 알루미늄 유도 결정화 공정 및 결정특성 연구 (Investigation of aluminum-induced crystallization of amorphous silicon and crystal properties of the silicon film for polycrystalline silicon solar cell fabrication)

  • 본 연구에서는 다결정 실리콘 태양전지 응용을 위한 다결정 실리콘 씨앗층의 제조와 그의 특성에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. 다결정 실리콘 씨앗층은 glass/Al/$Al_2O_3$/a-Si 구조를 이용하여 aluminum-induced layer exchange(ALILE) 고정으로 제조하였으며, 자연산화막부터 50 nm까지 다양한 크기로 $Al_2O_3$ 막두께를 변화시켜 알루미늄 유도 결정화 공정에서 막의 두께가 결정화 특성 및 결정결함, 결정크기에 미치는 영향에 대하여 조사하였다. 연구결과, ALILE 공정으로 생성된 다결정 실리콘막의 결함은 $Al_2O_3$ 막의 두께가 증가할수록 함께 증가한 반면, 결정화 정도와 결정입자의 크기는 $Al_2O_3$막의 두께가 증가할수록 감소하였다. 본 실험에서는 16 nm 두께 이하의 앓은 $Al_2O_3$ 막의 구조에서 평균 약 $10\;{\mu}m$ 크기의 sub-grain 결정립을 얻었으며, 결정성은 <111> 방향의 우선 배향성 특성을 보였다.

  • PVDF는 측쇄에 C=O기를 갖는 고분자인 PMMA와 PVAc와의 블렌드 및 주쇄에 C=O기를 갖는 poly(1,4-butylene adipate) (PBA)와의 블렌드에서 PVDF의 융점보다 상당히 높은 온도에서 LCST거동을 보이고 있음이 알려져 있다. 그런데 PVDF/PMMA와 PVDF/PVAC 블렌드계에서는 LCST가 고분자의 열분해온도와 유사하여 LCST거동을 실험적으로 관찰하기 어려웠다. 그런데 PVDF/PBA 블렌드계에서는 실험적으로 측정할 수 있을 정도로 LCST가 낮아지긴 하였지만 PBA의 열분해를 완전히 배제하기엔 아직도 높은 온도이다.[1] (중략)
