  • This paper describes the modeling of work environment for the extraction of abstract operation rules for cooperative work with multiple agent. We propose the modeling method using a potential field. In the method, it is applied to a box pushing problem, which is to move a box from a start to a goal b multiple agent. The agents follow the potential value when they move and work in the work environment. The work environment is represented as the grid space. The potential field is generated by Genetic Algorithm(GA) for each agent. GA explores the positions of a potential peak value in the grid space, and then the potential value stretching in the grid space is spread by a potential diffusion function in each grid. However it is difficult to explore suitable setting using hand coding of the position of peak potential value. Thus, we use an evlolutionary computation way because it is possible to explore the large search space. So we make experiments the environment modeling using the proposed method and verify the performance of the exploration by GA. And we classify some types from acquired the environment model and extract the abstract operation rule, As results, we find out some types of the environment models and operation rules by the observation, and the performance of GA exploration is almost same as the hand coding set because these are nearly same performance on the evaluation of the consumption of agent's energy and the work step from point to the goal point.

  • General expressions for solid state NMR lines are described for transitions under static, magic angle spinning, and variable angle spinning conditions in the case where the principal axis system for the anisotropic chemical shift tensor is noncoincident with that of the quadrupole coupling tensor. It is demonstrated that solid state NMR powder pattern simulation program VMAS based on the conventional grid point method of integrating over the Euler angle space is fast enough in comparison with the POWDER simulation package and Gauss-point method.

  • Cluster analysis has been widely used in many applications, such that data analysis, pattern recognition, image processing, etc. But clustering requires many hours to get clusters that we want, because it is more primitive, explorative and we make many data an object of cluster analysis. In this paper we propose a new clustering method, 'Clustering algorithm using a center of gravity for grid-based sample'. It is more fast than any traditional clustering method and maintains accuracy. It reduces running time by using grid-based sample and keeps accuracy by using representative point, a center of gravity.

  • The present paper explains some advancement made by the authors for the compressible flow computation of the Euler equations based on the unstructured grid and vertex- centered finite volume method. Accurate solutions to the unsteady axisymmetric shock wave propagation problems and three-dimensional airplane flows have been obtained by a high-order upwind TVD and FCT schemes. Unstructured grid adaption is made for the unsteady shock wave problems by the dynamic h-refinement/unrefinement procedure and for the three-dimensional steady flows by the Delaunay point-insertion method to generate three-dimensional tetrahedral mesh enrichment. Some physics of the shock wave diffraction phenomena and three-dimensional airplane flow are discussed.

  • Recently, the development of computer achieves a system which is similar to the mechanics of human visual system. The 3D measurement using monocular vision system must be achieved a camera calibration. So far, the camera calibration technique required reference target in a scene. But, these methods are inefficient because they have many calculation procedures and difficulties in analysis. Therefore, this paper proposes a native method that without reference target in a scene. We use the grid type frame with different line widths. This method uses vanishing point concept that possess a rotation parameter of the camera and perspective ration that perfect each line widths into a image. We confirmed accuracy of calibration parameter estimation through experiment on the algorithm with a grid paper with different line widths.

  • This paper presents a control scheme for three-level NPC inverters using small DC-link capacitors. To reduce the inverter system volume, the film capacitor with small capacitance is a promising candidate for the DC-link. When small capacitors are applied in a three level inverter, however, the AC ripple component increases in the DC-link NPV (neutral point voltage). In addition, the three-phase input grid currents are distorted when the DC-link capacitors are fed by diode rectifier. In this paper, the additional circuit is applied to compensate for small capacitor systems defect, and the offset voltage injection method is presented for the stabilization in NPV. These two proposed processes evidently ensure the quality improvement of the input grid currents and output load currents. The feasibility of the proposed method is verified by experimental results.

  • This paper describes a variant of the extended Gaussian image based registration algorithm for point clouds with surface color information. The method correlates the distributions of surface normals for rotational alignment and grid occupancy for translational alignment with hue filters applied during the construction of surface normal histograms and occupancy grids. In this method, the size of the point cloud is reduced with a hue-based down sampling that is independent of the point sample density or local geometry. Experimental results show that use of the hue filters increases the registration speed and improves the registration accuracy. Coarse rigid transformations determined in this step enable fine alignment with dense, unfiltered point clouds or using Iterative Common Point (ICP) alignment techniques.

  • We present a systematic study of the electrical, optical and electromechanical properties of flexible graphene/metal grid hybrid transparent conductive electrodes using 4-point prove method, ultraviolet/visible spectrometer and inner/outer bending test system. The hybrid electrodes were synthesized by depositing a silver grid on a graphene surface. The sheet resistance of hybrid electrodes was as low as 30 Ω/square, while the transmittance was 90%. The electromechanical properties as a function of the change of bending radius were evaluated by measuring the change in resistance. The result will be presented in detail. We believe that these results will provide useful information for the flexible optoelectronic devices based on graphene transparent electrodes.

  • In this study, the surface marker method, one of the particle tracking methods, used to track the free surface is extended to cover the more general cases easily including the collision and separation of the free surface. In surface particle method to redistribute particles effectively using the grid system, the free surface is composed of the sum of quadrilaterals having four curves where fixed markers are placed at ends of each curve. Fixed markers are used to know how curves are connected to each other. The position of fixed markers can move as the free surface deforms but all fixed markers cannot be deleted during all time of simulation to keep informations of curve connection. In the case of the collision or separtion of the free surface where several curves can be intersected disorderly, severe difficulties can occur to define newly states of curve connection. In this study, the adaptable surface parTicle method without fixed markers is introduced. Intersection markers instead of the fixed markers are used to define quadrilaterals. The position of the intersection markers is defined to be the intersection point between the free surface and the edge of the grid and it can be added or deleted during the time of simulation to allow more flexibilities. To verify numerical schemes, two flow cases are simulated and the numerical results are compared with other's one and shown to be valid.

  • The stresses and deflections in a laminated rectangular plate under thermal vibration are determined by using the moving least squares differential quadrature (MLSDQ) method based on the first order shear deformation theory. The weighting coefficients used in MLSDQ approximation are obtained through a fast computation of the MLS shape functions and their partial derivatives. By using this method, the governing differential equations are transformed into sets of linear homogeneous algebraic equations in terms of the displacement components at each discrete point. Boundary conditions are implemented through discrete grid points by constraining displacements, bending moments and rotations of the plate. Solving this set of algebraic equations yields the displacement components. Then substituting these displacements into the constitutive equation, we obtain the stresses. The approximate solutions for stress and deflection of laminated plate with cross layer under thermal load are obtained. Numerical results show that the MLSDQ method provides rapidly convergent and accurate solutions for calculating the stresses and deflections in a multi-layered plate of cross ply laminate subjected to thermal vibration of sinusoidal temperature including shear deformation with a few grid points.
