In this paper, the problem of subway platform is analyzed and the alternative as a screen door is suggested. This paper aims to improve the facility law in subway platform. Because facility law related to platform is absent, the study scope is limited to detail design that is matched to rules. Field survey is performed to 300 persons that are 150 men and 150 women in Shingil station in which the screen door is established. Also the persons are used the screen door at least 3 times. It makes the field survey credible. The study is proceeded as follows ; First, the law related to platform, the problem of platform, and the plan and status of screen door are analyzed. Second, the definition, and composition of screen door are examined. Then, kinds of screen door is analyzed and the advantage and disadvantage of each kind of screen door are compared. Third, the necessity of establishing the screen door is examined through field survey and error range of stop position is investigated. Through this flow, final results is abstracted. Direction of facility related to subway platform, applied objective and range are suggested based on this study. This study focuses the stability of platform, pleasantness, and energy saving and suggests facility improvement direction through introducing the screen door and further study.

For measuring a traffic symbolic confusion Quantity and symbolic air pleasantness, we use fuzzy sensor algorithm maded by symbolic information Quantity. Hut for implementation of fuzzy sensor, we use some symbolic information item, this method cannot produce precise output because we use vague fuzzy rule method and we cannot abundance fuzzy for precision of fuzzy rule method. For this reason, this paper introduce new fuzzy sensor algorithm composed of not fuzzy rule method but using Analytic Hierachy Process. To prove that new method is good, two type of fuzzy sensor applied to traffic signal controller and through much passing vehicle, two fuzzy sensor compared each other.

Recently, the issue of ship nitration due to the large scale, high speed and lightweight of ship is emerging. For pleasantness in the cabin, shipbuilders are asked for strict vibration criteria and the degree of nitration level at a deckhouse became an important condition for taking order from customers. This study proposes a new optimization framework that is NASTRAN external call type optimization method (OptShip) and applies to an optimum design to decrease the nitration level of a deckhouse. The merits of this method are capable of using of global searching method and selecting of various objective function and design variables. The global optimization algorithms used here are random tabu search method which has fast converging speed and searches various size domains and genetic algorithm which searches multi-point solutions and has a good search capability in a complex space. By adapting OptShip to full-scale model, the validity of the suggested method was investigated.
A new trend has been emerging in recent years, with video game live streaming becoming a meeting ground for gamers, as well as a marketing strategy for game developers. In line with this trend, the emergence of the "Let's Play" culture has significantly changed the manner in which people enjoyed video games. In order to academically explore this new experience, this study seeks to answer the following research questions: (1) Does engaging in video game streaming offer the same feeling as playing the game? (2) If so, what are the factors that affect the feeling of telepresence from viewers' perspective? and (3) How does the feeling of telepresence affect viewers' learning experience of the streamed game? We generated and empirically tested a comprehensive research model based on the telepresence and consumer learning theories. The research findings revealed that the authenticity and pleasantness of the streamer and the interaction of viewers positively affect telepresence, which in turn is positively associated with the gained knowledge and a positive attitude toward the streamed game. Based on the research findings, various practical implications are discussed for game developers as well as platform providers.
This study aims at suggesting the applicability of color combination based upon the characteristics of environmental color perception and the nuance concept of Natural Color System(NCS). The results are summarized below: First, NCS is a scientific coloring system in consideration of the relevance between people, light and environment, to be based on a phenomenological point of view. NCS can be called a psychometric model reflecting our natural color sense. Second, the color triangle established by NCS is one of the methods of expression based on the human visual mechanism, which is classified by two attributes of hue and nuance, not by the three color attributes of hue, lightness and saturation. The nuance concept of NCS implies the impression, atmosphere and tone that are perceived in colors, which are related to lightness and saturation. Accordingly, this paper suggests that the coloring arrangement emphasizing nuance and tone is more useful than hue in color planning. Third, aesthetic impression in environmental color perception is inclusive of instantly perceptive nuance, which is connected with affordance. The affordance is revealed by the different relation of similarity. In this regard, a strong relationship is noticed between color combination and the sense of pleasantness. The hypothesis regarding the complementation and similarity of contrasting nature is judged to provide observers with aesthetic order. Finally, this paper also suggests four harmonizing methods in the NCS color triangle based upon equal blackness, equal whiteness, equal chromaticness and same nuance. At the same time, opposition and a different concept of hue, lightness and lightness are combined complementarily with the nuance value to suggest patterns of color combination.

This study is to understand the problems of current police raincoats for professional policemen and conscripted policemen. Interviews and a survey were completed to investigate the wearing conditions of current police raincoats. The questionnaire was composed of questions on current wearing conditions of raincoat, motional adaptability, dimensional compatibility, design suitability and demographic information on the research target. The results indicated that the wearing frequency of raincoats had significant difference according to duty and age range. The main reason for the low wearing frequency was the uncomfortableness of working while wearing the raincoat, followed by the inconvenience of managing the raincoat after use and feeling hot while wearing the raincoat. The three most important factors when wearing a raincoat was pleasantness, activity capability and the functionality of the fabric. The satisfaction on body parts during motions tended to be evaluated lower as the raincoat size increased. The results of the dissatisfaction factors indicated that the raincoat hood had the most problems. There was inconvenience when using the equipment belt because officers have to wear their belts inside the raincoat. In regards to the fabric satisfaction level, respondents were less satisfied with ventilation, hygroscopicity, and drying time. Therefor it appeared that the current raincoat had problems due a lack of functionality in regards to ventilation, hygroscopicity, and quick drying; in addition, the satisfaction on motional adaptability had a significant difference according to raincoat size.
Design for improved usability is to understand products from the user's point of view so eventually to enhance the pleasantness users by reflecting it into the design. The philosophy of user-oriented design is an essence of human-centered product planning, and its application is more important for railway vehicle design, which is closely connected with everyday life. This study focused to define basic elements of train interior design concept, which considers convenience and comfort for passengers, by extracting and interpreting ergonomic requirements, as usability factors, of train toilet design. The study on user-oriented design of trains consists of the practice of sensibility engineering for the management of customers' emotions and its harmonious use on design, and aims on the embodiment of new ergonomic design. In the center, it has analyzed the criteria and characteristics of the user-oriented design and has concluded the design direction and components to a concrete idea and proposed prototypes, which may become a good example for train interior design later on. In addition, it proposes a direction, which may become a guideline of ergonomic design, to secure competition capacity. Moreover this study is concentrated on the physical environment and human behavior of train toilet users, on the analysis of factors necessary for adequate toilet design, and on the understanding of interface between its users. What is more, it proposes a module of development process and methods of approaching the interface. The study presents a design standard, under which the concrete data of the characteristics and practicable range and the convergent demands accelerate to the module could be confirmed and criticized. The study on the usability is going to contribute to more pleasant and comfortable train environments and consequently, it's going to create new values of increased railway competitiveness by design.
Men should be able to do whatever they want to and want to safely protected at home which is special domain for them. The disabled live mentally uncomfortable lives at home which should be a place where they should be comfortable and convenient. Renovation projects started in Incheon since 2009 by commencing renovation projects for the disabled by the government and welfare centers. Since the project is a program supported by the government or welfare centers thus priority on renovation was decided and carried out by in-depth interview to decide areas to renovate because of limited budgets. This paper is aimed to propose plans for renovating homes according to priority for renovation for dwellers when renovating homes for the disabled with limited budgets. Renovating home for the disabled can be broadly divided into physical, environmental, esthetic renovations, and physical renovation is a basic renovation for daily lives without restrictions in living and include easy movements, accesses to each rooms and adequacy of movement, easily accesses related with easily accessible distance and height, safety to prevent accidents caused by physical inabilities. Environmental renovation is general supports becoming the base of daily living and include control for controlling lighting, heating, air quality for comfortable environments in living space and pleasantness to maintain bright and pleasant interior with sufficient light. Esthetic renovation includes expression of identity by expressing image of one self and visual effects or spatial consideration for hobbies to enjoy comfortable and rich lives.

Townscape design is now considered to be the most important part in city management as a means to improve the life quality of its dwellers. Therefore, the recognition of local autonomous entities and local residents on townscape has been greatly changed. As a part of this effort, the plan to improve the townscape of the central rotary district in Geochang-eup has been examined in multilateral ways. In this plan, first, improvement for proper buildings was studied. Second, betterment for street furniture around the central rotary was considered. Third, making a landscape square around it was also investigated. Based on those considerations, this article intends to suggest directions for improving the commercial buildings of the central rotary district which has the greatest symbolicity in Geochang-eup. To achieve the goal, this paper conducted a survey to the dwellers beforehand in order to investigate their recognition on creating townscape for the central rotary district and collected their opinions on it. According to the result, among the elements of townscape in the shopping district around the rotary, the externals of the buildings such as signboards, color, and shape and the pleasantness part like the maintenance of telegraph poles occupied the highest portion on the street. And It is proposed 4 Alternative plans for the improvement of commercial building design in the central rotary district of geochang-eup.

A study on the method of evaluation the urban amenity structure in Pusan city was established. Finally a survey sites out of 41 regions were selected on the basis of questionnaires : Taejong-dae and Haeun-dae as a seascape, Pumosa and Daesin-park as a mountain, Daechong-park and Seongjigok-park as a mixed, and Chungryulsa, Yongdoosan-park and U. N. Cemetry as a urban type. The abstracted results of amenity elements were revealed as natural environments including convex type as beach, reservoir, valley and mountain, and plant elements including woods and flower beds which raised amenity. The elements of social surroundings including children's playing, the aged's rest, and elements of structures including historic and memorial structures and high buildings. Amenity element made up of each space by region were abstracted from the Semantic Differential method. According to the factor analysis on the ground SD scale values, Kaiser's measure of sampling adequacy for 24 variables is 08602 and very high. Four factors including pleasantness, healthiness, convenience and safety showed 54.42 percent for total variance. By means of multiple regression, the model was as follows : Y=1.6636+0.3684X4+0.1955X11+0.1614X15-0.1688X23+0.1468X24. Therefore, Y:amenity, X4:beautiful-ugly, X11:clean-dirty, X15:creative-imitative, X23:cozy-dreary, X24:free-restrained. All variables in the model were significant at 0.001 level. According to the results of regression on satisfaction, the variables of satisfaction affecting amenity are the size of green space, the condition of management and the harmony with the surroundings. I think the considerating on the above could improve amenity of each region and further Pusan city.
