  • As urbanization proceeds and therefore impervious surface coverage increases, the amount of runoff goes up and the hydrological cycle is also changed. The surface retention and interception of precipitation in the urban area are reduced because the surface area is now slick and solid. Increasing runoff in building areas of the city causes flood damage, water pollution, reduction of ground water recharge, and the other environmental problems. This paper investigates various techniques of increasing rates in a site development performed by Berlin. The techniques offered in this paper improve sit water balance, and thus keep the site ecosystem much healthier.

  • Purpose - In the past, designs for traditional products have usually focused on historic techniques. However, this tradition of using historic techniques has now been replaced by the trend of using the innovative design concept. Research design, data, and methodology - To measure future market trends and quality requirements, we apply the results of the questionnaires and analyze them with various experimental processes and a design methodology. In this way, we gauge the impact of the innovative product value chain on the promotion of new products. Results - Accompanied with an innovative product value chain, the product can stimulate the development of enterprise management, which has become the main issue in social and economic development in every developed country, and can facilitate the progress of enterprise management throughout the enterprise. Conclusions - Customer demand should be emphasized as the primary means to solve design problems, to design optimal solutions, to create differentiation with competitors, and to pursue optimal marketing strategies.

  • In this paper, we introduce a new technique for automatic construction of steel frames in high-rise buildings. Basically, we combine advanced robotic technologies to building construction techniques. Four main topics will be developed such as: 1) Planning and synthesis of automatic construction system, 2) Development of construction factory system with climbing oil-pressured robot, 3) Core techniques for automatic assembly for steel frames, and 4) Intelligent resource management system. We expect that this new technique will increase the construction efficiency and will alleviate the manpower shortage problem in the aging society.

  • Geo-spatial information system technology and cartographic modeling techniques were used as a way to Improve the land use planning process. Off-road vehicle(ORV) trails, timber harvest sites, timber haul mads and wildlife ruffed grouse habitats areas should be allocated together in the Wayne National Forest in the United States. Automated spatial cartographic models were developed to resolve the conflicts of the multiple land use allocation. The techniques of descriptive and prescriptive modeling made the multiple land use allocation efficient and effective.

  • Solid modeling refers to techniques for unambiguous representations of three-dimensional objects. Feature recognition is a sub-discipline focusing on the design and implementation of algorithms for detecting manufacturing information such as holes, slots, etc. in a solid model. Automated feature recognition has been an active research area in stolid modeling for many years, and is considered to be a critical component for CAD/CAM integration. This paper gives a technical overview of the state of the art in feature recognition research. Rather than giving an exhaustive survey, I focus on the three currently dominant feature recognition technologies: graph-based algorithms, volumetric decomposition techniques, and hint-based geometric reasoning. For each approach, I present a detailed description of the algorithms being employed along with some assessments of the technology. I conclude by outlining important open research and development issues.

  • Hallux valgus is a deformity characterized by lateral deviation of the great toe and medial deviation of the first metatarsal. When planning an operative treatment, it is important to realize that the deformity is tridimensional and diverse. Operative techniques include medial eminence resection, distal soft tissue procedure, first metatarsal osteotomy (distal, diaphyseal, proximal, or multiple), proximal phalanx osteotomy, arthrodesis (first metatarsophalangeal or metatarsocuneiform joint), and so on. Among these techniques, osteotomy is the main procedure for correcting the hallux valgus. The objective of this article is to describe the characteristics and recent advancements made for corrective osteotomies in the hallux valgus. The pathophysiology of the hallux valgus is also described.

  • Now architecture has been become a significant element which is able to determine the competitiveness as a cultural product by going beyond the concept that architecture offer a space for just residence and office. From old times, planning and managing the urban space create living space to be more comfortable and efficient. Nevertheless, all of a public and private have resolved urban problems only to create economy growth by shortsighted approach. Therefore, a more macroscopic for composing an urban environment emerged the need for access in terms of the plan, to these aspects of the landscape and urban residential environment that can be applied to the United States's PUD techniques and focus on the development of urban space cases by applied PUD to improve a more rational and efficient urban space and to creation lively dwelling environment and the favorable landscapes forming want to try.

  • Gel dosimeters have unique advantages in comparison with other dosimeters. Until now, these gels have been used in different radiotherapy techniques as a reliable dosimetric tool. Because dose distribution measurement is an important factor for appropriate treatment planning in different radiotherapy techniques, in this study, we evaluated the ability of the N-isopropylacrylamide (NIPAM) polymer gel to record the dose distribution resulting from the mixed neutron-gamma field of boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT). In this regard, a head phantom containing NIPAM gel was irradiated using the Tehran Research Reactor BNCT beam line, and then by a magnetic resonance scanner. Eventually, the $R_2$ maps were obtained in different slices of the phantom by analyzing T2-weighted images. The results show that NIPAM gel has a suitable potential for recording three-dimensional dose distribution in mixed neutron-gamma field dosimetry.

  • This paper discusses thermal and ventilation performance which might be caused by the adoption of one of specific building facade techniques, Double Skin System(DSS). One building with a prototypical DSS was selected and systematically investigated through field monitoring and computer simulation techniques. A network model of ventilation was successfully made using COMIS to evaluate ventilation performance of the system which can hardly be done by field measurements. Various operating conditions of air conditioning on/off and window opening were implemented in this type of building. Through the appropriate operation of the DSS in summer, simulation-based and experimental results implicate that it can lead to cooling energy savings.

  • Visibility has been used for Visual Impact Assessment and Buildingheight Control. The purpose of this study is to elaborate visibility analysis technique in GIS, and to design a visual information system baed on this technique for diverse application. The results of this study are as follows : 1) By classifying visibility analysis techniques into two groups, Each one's merits and demerits were investigated. Practically GIS visibility analysis by DTM model using contour map and investigating it by means of site-observation can be the most effective method. 2) A visibility analysis techniquwe for V.I.A. and B.H.C. was presented by studying GIS visibility analysis by means of DTM model using contour map. There were 5 problems. 3) Adequate analysis techniques were presented according to the landscape factor-road, ship-route, port, mountain, etc. 4) Viewing distance from road and ship-route in visual corridor, landma가 visibility and distance, the angle of incidence and invisible region's depth are helpful for land scape management or land use planning.
